“All About Poke was a good Poke bowl experience, in my opinion. I had tried it before at other locations and remembered it being satisfactory for when I had a poke craving, and after a medium (three protein scoops) bowl I was again satisfied. Notably the salmon and tuna tasted quite fishy in some bites, and pineapple was the only standard fruit option besides mandarin orange slices (which I don’t want to try on poke, personally). But overall, they had most of the standard toppings like edamame, crab, cucumber, ginger, etc, their sauces were tasty, and they served a sizable portion of rice, fish and toppings all. All About Poke will hit the spot if you are nearby and need a nice fresh lunch.“

“Run, don't walk. Best handroll bar in LA. No contest. Now don't get me wrong, I love me some Kazunori, and have been going for years but this place has stolen my heart (and tastebuds). The flavors are out of this world and the fish is always fresh. Every single roll is excellent, and the appetizers are simple and tasty as well. Service is also always top tier, and the sushi chefs clearly know what they're doing. I was skeptical at first, but they really did take handrolls to another level. You will not regret it. The Lux 3 is my favorite, and I usually double up on it when really hungry. It's my go to spot for sushi now! And, shout out to the sushi chefs and in particular Marcos (sp?) who hit it out of the park with a delightfully delicious culinary experience today. Probably the best hand-rolls I've had since I started coming a couple years ago, and you can tell he's meticulous. Also, the bar's ambiance is very pleasant, modern, clean, and intimate with low lighting that's just perfect to enjoy your meal in peace.“

“The food was very good. I dined solo and had chicken liver mousse, the yellowtail crudo, the peach and tomato burrata salad, and the crab cake. The mousse was rich and interestingly paired with pickled blackberries and honeycomb. The crudo was delicious with the refreshing citrus. The salad too felt very fresh and like I was holding on to late summer. The crab cake was good, the sauce had a nice balance of spice and sweetness, it was very salty which is not unexpected with crab. The service was kind and attentive. I was very pleased with my experience and would return again if I'm back in Santa Monica.“

“Love Saltie Girl, ambience is warm staff welcoming and all the seafood is so creative - ive had the clam Chowder which comes with marbled potatoes crispy bacon on top and atleast 3 clams in the shell some of the best ive ever had. The fish & chips is divine with perfectly crispy fish and crispy and pillowy soft fries. Oysters were fresh and the bone in dover sole sublime - great drinks too my mom loved her totos straight up martini. All in all bit expensive but worth every cent while fining there or ordering in“

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

I was kinda surprised with my bills and how the restaurant dictate the gratuity %….Overall, I love dining in this restaurant because we were welcome and were given a great and warm reception. Thank you to the staff who made us feel special especially to CJ she was amazing. Indeed, the most expensive meal I have eaten lol it’s worth it.“

“When they say spicy it really is! We were at Monkish down the street and wanted some ceviche or aguachile and saw this place as we drove down the road. We went with the shrimp aguachile and were warned it was spicy. They weren’t wrong but it was SO GOOD. We got the 12 ounce size with 4 tostadas and it was perfect to split for two people. Washed down with a cucumber and lime agua fresca it was the perfect combo!“

The reason why I gave it a 4 stars and not a 5 star is because the space is super small, and it does get overwhelming! “Seafood quality is better than supermarket quality, and of course this means you’ll pay more for it. The cafe food is great but very pricey coming from someone visiting from out of state. We got the poke bowl, the calamari and clam chowder, the lobster roll, and the Dungeness crab pasta. There is also a good selection of alcohol and Asian sauces as well as vegetables.“

“The first time I ever had a lobster roll was here. I AM GLAD it was here. Maybe it was just the bartenders turn at the music I dont know. They were playing mid 90's 2000's rock the whole time, banger after banger! I was looking for a quiet place to eat, but this place took me by surprise so I stayed. We waited a long time to be greeted and get water once sat, even though the restaurant was only partially full - so much so the server did apologize once they did show up. But then we proceeded to wait a long time again to place our order, and then had to flag down our server after waiting a long time to get another glass of wine mid-meal. Overall, it was a fine experience, but was really shocking to be charged a credit card fee on the bill. I can't imagine folks are paying cash often at this price point, and I've never ever been passed a 3% credit card fee at a nice, sit-down restaurant.“

The lobster roll is the main reason to come here, with plenty of lobster meat in a warm toasted bun. The crab roll and shrimp roll are also good choices, and the lobster bisque makes a nice side if you want something warm.

I know our request is unusual but I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our girls dream come true they've always wanted to try a seafood boil without their throat getting itchy and this is the first ever without any cross contamination.
