“A sushi place inside a swap shop ?? Must be horrible … right ? … right ?????You. Have. No. Idea. How. Good. It. Is!!!Honestly, I was just looking for some cheap sushi to munch on. You know, $8 rolls or something.NopeeeeeeeeThis was one of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to. First the service from Linda, she was great ! Super sweet and kind, great personality, and I never once saw her without a smile on her face. She definitely loves the craft and the business. Our chef was Omar. Man this guy is a magician ! The food was sooooooo good and soooo fresh. The rolls just melted in our mouths. I can’t wait to go back and I heard they’re opening other locations. But this is a GEMMMM !!!Prices don’t reflect a swap shop sushi place. It’s definitely like a real nice restaurant. But, the quality of food and the service matches a real sit down nice restaurant. The Sur sushi on fire roll … oh. My. Goooddddddddd ? Best roll thing I’ve ever had. It’s a sushi burrito ! Mannnnn it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted. So good. Getting that again !The panorama roll, seaweed salad were delicious too !My girl had the salmon sashimi, so fresh. Melted in our mouths. The rice cakeeee !!! Incredible ! Fried rice patty with spicy tuna and avocado. Bro …. Bro …. So good. This is my new go to sushi spot!My ONLY complaint is they didn’t have the prices listed. Ended up spending $80. Just unexpected is all. But for the quality of the food I’m not complaining at all. Would’ve just liked to know each rolls was $16Definitely going again!“
“I recently had the unique opportunity to photograph The Original Khun Dang Thai Restaurant for a project with Doordash. As a commercial photographer specializing in gastronomy, I've witnessed many establishments, but this one truly stands out. From the moment I stepped in, the staff's warmth and the welcoming atmosphere set a fantastic tone for the session. Although I didn’t get a chance to taste the dishes, I captured their visual appeal and the passion the team pours into each presentation. Each dish reflected a balance between art and tradition, a testament to their dedication to authentic Thai cuisine. As Daniel The Photographer based in Los Angeles, I pride myself on collaborating with local businesses and highlighting their uniqueness through my lens. This project was more than just an assignment; it was an experience that allowed me to appreciate the beauty and effort behind each plate. If you're looking for an authentic culinary experience with exceptional service, The Original Khun Dang Thai Restaurant is definitely a place to consider. And for businesses seeking to capture the essence of their brand through high-quality photographs, you can count on me to bring that artistic and professional vision.Thank you, The Original Khun Dang Thai Restaurant, for a memorable session!“
“It doesn't look like much but it exceeds expectations it's a Thai restaurant if you are into that. Really nice employees they don't make you feel uncomfortable when ordering been a fan of this place for years the food is very good and it's definitely worth a try if you haven't had Thai food“
“i would highly recommend this place it’s so bomb my go to seafood place i love it employees are so nice i’ve been coming here for over 8 years and employees already know me and so does the manager there food is so good i really recommend this place“
“You absolutely have to dine here! Everything from the food, to the service, to the wine/cocktails and ambiance was absolutely incredible. My significant other doesn’t eat raw fish and I forgot to mention it when booking, but the staff asked at the start of the meal and they were happy to accommodate the preference despite it being last minute. The somm absolutely nailed the pairing the night I was there. My group loved every single pour so much that we asked for a detailed list of the tasting. Overall, everything was fantastic and I quite enjoyed the perfect balance between friendly and professional when it came to the service.Thank you for an incredible night!“
“For Hawaiian fusion it’s pretty good, with some unexpected items such as the potatos bravas stealing the show. Some other items were less impressive, with the filet mignon in particular, despite being very tender, too out of character for this place. Warm French toast for dessert is a bit fun with banana bread and cocoa chips.Service was superb and cocktail game is strong. Parking is valet or hope you get lucky in the neighborhood.Vegetarian options: Some decent options for vegetarians.Parking: It’s a busy business area, quite a few streets nearby are permit only, so odds are good the valet is the best option.“
“This was our first time at Saltie Girl. We will definitely be dinning at Saltie Girl again. The oysters were outstanding and not a bad price at $4.50 each. They had great flavor.LA Pink salad was very good with an excellent crushed maple walnut dressing dressing. The Moules Frites, probably the best I ever had, even better than in Belgium! Ipswich Claim had a wonderful coating and excellent flavor. The Fried Brussels Sprouts outstanding flavor. The French Dover Sole with the lemon, capers, butter and parsley, amazing flavor. Lump Crab Toast bold and delicious flavor. The one dish I would pass on next time is the Tins. We had one tin with Sardine In Olive Oil With Lemon and one with Hake In Green Sauce. They just lacked flavor.Service was top notch.“
“The service was top notch, all of our servers were informative about the food and friendly. The atmosphere is dark line and good speakeasy should be with a live instrumental trio, but you could still hold a conversation with your date without yelling. The food was uneven, the starters (buns and tiger prawns) were incredible, the dessert (cookies and cream) was surprisingly full of flavor and delicious. The wagyu steak was good but not melt in your mouth amazing, which is what I want when I get a steak at a restaurant. The pork belly was the most bland item we had, but my husband still enjoyed eating it. Overall a great place for drinks and small bites.“
“really impressed with the food & service! the staff anticipated all of our needs proactively before the requests could even leave our mouths. party of 5 - and all equally satisfied. we loved the miso cod and yellowtail roll so much that we had to throw in another order of each before dessert (ordered 2x the banana filo dough goodness, too!) beautiful garden room with fireplace - great music (we kept shazam-ing) - but not too loud to still hear each other. highly recommend for a lively & delicious time with friends!“
“We loved this place and it will be a regular rotation spot for us. We had the Chicken Lasagna and the Portobello Marsala Chicken, both were very good, we also had crab cakes which were good. The service was excellent as well and they seem to have a good flow to everything. I've lived in the area for 2 years and tried a few places around and this is definitely the best. I loved that they didn't cram every guest in to tables next to each other and gave us space where they could, more places need need to take note of that.“
“A staple for great steakhouse food, delicious drinks and a fun night for a group, a family or a date night. The management is some of the all time best in LA- always willing to do the most to make your experience as special as possible. Some favorite menu items are the Tomahawk ribeye, the table side Caesar and ALL of the sides. Not to miss would be the fries (of every variety), the creamed spinach and the onion rings. For seafood lovers, I recommend the blackened salmon. The roast chicken is also divine. The not-to-miss and free star is the roasted garlic that can be spread onto their delicious bread assortment or onto any of their solid proteins.“
“Most excellent experience and food was perfect. We had the duck eggrolls and the ricotta stuffed squash blossoms as starters, both had a delish specialty drink. I had the house burger with 3 different meats ground in including wagyu. Was done perfectly med rare. No room for dessert this time. Will def go back. Service was nice, we sat at the bar. All in all a great experience.“
“I went a couple weeks ago and got the beet hummus as a starter. It was fine. After that, I got the bass. It was a bit small, but still amazing. Although, I did have to send it back and have another dish brought to me because the first one had shrimp in it. On the menu, it didn’t mention shrimp. But again, the bass and the curry-like sauce that it was served in were delicious. The chef sent out a sashimi dish that was a bit overwhelming, but very good. He even came to the table to ask me how I liked it. I also loved the Verdeca wine and the cocktail with saffron. Very different. Definitely plan on coming back!“
“C+T is our go-to neighborhood favorite! Consistently fresh, well prepared and super tasty food offered by well trained, knowledgeable and attentive, friendly staff! Love that the Celtics are on the TV and the billboard quips are always cheeky!“
“We are self recognized sushi snobs and this is our new go to place. They have rolls similar to what we find at Got Sushi in Northridge but for a better price. The quality is right up there with other top notch places. The service is on point. It's a small place so just one waitress when we've gone, but she is always on top of everything and the food comes out of the open kitchen quickly.“
“This place is absolutely delicious. The service was great we got seated right away and our waiter who seemed like the owner as well did an amazing job giving us the best customer service. The food is some of the best Salvadorian food I've had in a restaurant, definitely tastes more homemade which I love. I definitely recommend this spot and I hope to be back soon!“
“My wife and I came by here for a family get together and had a blast. The food was absolutely delicious. We love sides and had the Mac & cheese, collard greens and my favorite, the black eyed peas and rice aka The Rolling Johns. The owners really make the place special, and we were fortunate enough to have a quick conversation with one of the owners Chef. You can feel the love in the food and the building. Hands down the best soul food I’ve had in Los Angeles.“
“Can't possibly recommend this place enough! ? I am actually a little embarrassed it took me this long to find The Seafood Shop when 1.) I LOVE sashimi & 2.) I already knew about LA Seafood Direct. After many months of denying myself sashimi because the salmon prices at my usual stores are now out of my comfort zone (not to mention the tuna was always a coin toss as far as freshness goes), I actually stumbled upon this shop when trying to find the hours for LA Seafood Direct - that's when I saw a photo of a sign on their door advertising their "new retail shop." I was so excited to go, I ended up stopping in just hours after I saw that haha.Prices are astonishing low for how high the quality is. The sashimi grade wild salmon is only like $17.99 a lb, & it is so incredibly fresh & delicious you almost can't believe it. The tuna at $25 a lb is also a steal when you take quality into consideration. Some other places miiiight have marginally cheaper tuna, but I promise you it won't be anywhere near as satisfying or tasty as what you can get here!Besides other fresh & frozen seafood, they also carry a nice selection of Smoking Goose products, some cheeses, caviar, & condiments. There's also some prepared foods & ready to eat sashimi. Service is always extremely friendly & knowledgeable.I love this place so much & am always looking forward to my next visit! Go support these guys! ❤️“
“Been there multiple times - our favorites have been the rolls and the lobster tacos. Also needs to be paired with the fries and tater tots half and half mix. It’s the perfect meal. Parking is the only downside. The lot for that building is super expensive so we usually spend a couple extra minutes finding street parking. But it’s worth it for really well-priced, fresh, well-seasoned lobster and crab meat- and really friendly service!“
“I'm so happy to have found this gem of a restaurant! The owner greeted me by name as we walked in the door-she was so sweet (her name is Lily). We loved everything we ordered (the grilled fish, the sample platter, the rice dish). We look forward to our next dining experience very soon. Go try it! You won't be disappointed.“
“Love love love Cajun/Creole food! I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this gem in my neck of the woods, and am happy to report that Mardi Gras Tuesday will be my go-to Cajun/Creole joint for the foreseeable future. Mind you, I'm no expert on the cuisine, but I've been a fan for a long time and can happily endorse the Étouffée (crawfish), the Jambalaya, the Mac and Cheese, hushpuppies, and the friendly service at Mardi Gras Tuesday. *Though the cornbread didn't necessarily wow me, all and all, it was a great meal for the portions, price and quality. And considering they got slammed as soon as we walked in (around the start of the Super Bowl), the service was quick and we were in and out of there with bellies full of comfort food within an hour. Can't wait to go back!“
“Tel Aviv Fish Grill is such a great spot located in Tarzana. They specialize in serving fresh and flavorful Mediterranean-style seafood and breakfast dishes. My favorites are their shakshuka and the fried fish. The atmosphere at Tel Aviv Fish Grill is casual and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have a great dining experience. They also have outdoor seating available. If you're a fan of Mediterranean cuisine and seafood, I highly recommend checking out Tel Aviv Fish Grill.“
“It was a marvelous night out to eat. This place is genuinely incredible - sushi, ramen, bowls, apps & everything. Also the vibe is just chill w great service.Anne was my waitress & she steered me in the right direction w/ the salmon bowl that was fuego. Thanks,Ryan“
“Fun place to duck into before a show at the Pantages for a good cocktail and a bite. Enjoyed a variety of sushi to pair with our drinks. If sushi isn't your thing, there is a full menu of options on the reverse menu including short ribs, pasta and such. Ambience is spacious with two floors, outdoor patio seating protected from the busy street and an open bar. Can order food at the bar if a table is not available. Service is efficient and friendly. Reservations recommended.“
“This is a high-end steakhouse that is very pricey but well worth it. The food is incredibly flavorful and masterfully cooked. Staff is very knowledgeable and well trained. They have a vast array of wines and drinks as well as a large dinner menu.“
“This place has really good and really authentic Indian dishes. The service was great. The restraunt atmosphere was fine but not anything to write home about. This place was in walking distance from our airbnb we rented. We walked over on a Tuesday night around 6 and it wasn't too crowded. The items are sharable and you have to order everything separately so make sure you order some naan or rice for the soupier dishes.“
“Amazing!I had the avocado cucumber roll. My husband had the dragon roll (Decorated like an actual dragon! Omg! Art! He wouldn't let me take a pic!) and futomaki roll. The service was polite and informed and quick. No wait for a table on a Saturday night!Delicious. Must try!Wonderful beer and alcohol selection. We had three beers.Loved the music and ambiance. It was quiet and comfortable/cozy after a long day.Thank you for the lovely meal .“
“This restaurant is always amazing! Food is deliciousss and service is outstanding! The ambiance is cozy and welcoming. 10/10, highly recommend!Vegetarian options: I come here often with friends because there is also great selection for vegetarian diets.“
“Came here because I had been craving BBQ and it was my birthday! I had actually come here with my family back in the summer for Father's day and remembered that the food was pretty good, so I was pretty excited! We came around 2-3 pm. Service was great; I love how our server was very courteous and was attentive to refilling our beverages without having to be flagged down.As for the food, first of all, their complementary garlic rolls are amazing! We ordered 3 entrees to split between two of us. We got the baby back ribs, the beef ribs, as well as the brisket. All of the meats were pretty good and has the same BBQ sauce so its hard to say which one was the "best". It just depends on what kind of texture you like!My reasoning for subtracting 1 star is that it is a bit pricey and each entree only comes with one side now. Moreover, the sides were not that great. We had the BBQ beans which tasted like standard canned ones lol, the mashed potatoes which were somehow dry?, and the mac n cheese which was OK if you're in the mood for that gooey velveeta type of style. Overall, the meat is pretty good, but without good sides, it makes it a little harder for me to enjoy.“
“This place is very unique! I had a Tri Tip Sandwich...the meat was Chopped. I wasn't expecting that, but it was Good! Richard M was very kind and took the time to explain the Variety of the Menu. I must return to try more from the Menu!“
“This is a hole in the wall restaurant that seems to be a neighborhood favorite. There are not many tables inside, but they have a lot of covered seating outside behind the restaurant. Parking is limited, but we found some nearby at a strip center. 4/5 - Complimentary Tostadas: Served with pico de gallo, salsa and bean dip. Really good. 4/5 - Horchata 4/5 - Eggs, Beans & Carne Asada: My husband requested this (since it's not on the menu) and they made it for him. He was very happy. 2/5 - Beef Machaca: The beans and rice and tostada were really good. I didn't love the machaca though. The food came out to 3.5 stars. Service was friendly and attentive, so I will bump it up to 4 stars. I think this is probably a good lunch / dinner location.“
“These guys are top notch. They delivered some wise crew members breakfast to the Dr. Phil show. They will make you chilequiles with chicken. They have many prepared dishes ready to scoop or you can order tacos, burritos or whatever combo plates. Great staff. Party catering available. Good fruit water too. This place is bom. Gracias Zermenos.“
“Great food, especially the oatmeal griddle cakes and the perfectly made scrambled eggs. For brunch, get there early. We got there at 10:15 (they open at 10, no reservations), and still had to wait 20 minutes for a table to open up. With the line, we felt some inadvertent pressure to eat and leave. That was the only downside. I'll definitely go back.“
“Amazing food!! Great friendly service. I am hooked I have been getting my shrimp from MichexGod for a while now and it is one of those foods that you'd say "I can eat this everyday for lunch" the shrimp is big and delicious and the botana is full of flavor! From the lemon to the amazing sauces not to mention they top it with the chili powder, making every bite an amazing, sweet, and citrusy adventure that you dont want to end. The tacos on the other side are delicious and very filling. They also have taco Thurdays, so this Thursday make sure you stop by and take your tastebuds on an amazing journey. Service: 100% Taste:100% Price:$$“
“I order it for delivery and it comes hot and perfectly cooked each time. The fish is perfectly seasoned too. I love the Persian rice and grilled vegetables. I am always amazed how tasty the food is and the fact that the fish is always moist and never overcooked. They really know what they are doing. The red trout is my to go to.“
“Hands down best burrito(American style) in the valley. The soup is a hidden gem as well, I would say it is one of the best things on the menu, no matter what you get atleast get it on the side. Owner is also very nice, polite and professional to everyone. This place is small but he made sure that everyone was taken care of personally and had everything they needed and keeps the place running on a tight ship. Worth a try no matter what.“
“Great place to come eat with your family! Customer service here was nothing but AMAZING!!!! staff here were so lovely and helpful to suit your dinner. The food was so tasteful had the perfect textures and seasonings! Need a quick yummy place? This place is it for that!“
“Honestly probably the best mariscos I’ve had! I love the aguachile! The mariscos pieces are always plump and big, they really don’t skimp out on it. The owner is so friendly and willing to help you decide what to get based on what you like. The vibe is really chill with music always playing and tables to sit and eat at. Such a fun vibe. But the best thing about this place is probably the spicy red sauce. It goes good on everything! Seriously the star of the place, I crave it randomly all the time. Can’t recommend more!“
“I love their crunchy and cheesy shrimp and marlin empanadas. The green and adobe colored sauces provide a delightful treat, while the blood red sauce adds a happy kick to the overall flavor. A must-try for those seeking a savory and satisfying dining experience! If you got the munchies, make sure to order 4 to 5 empanadas so you can be completely satisfied.“
“I'm so happy we found this place. Love this style of Mexican restaurants. Staff was so friendly as soon as we arrived, and I loved the look and feel of this classic style that is well kept. We had steak and shrimp fajitas, shrimp mole enchiladas, Fiesta platter, and pina coladas, all so delicious! Clean, friendly staff, great service, good prices, and portions. Plenty of parking, would recommend !“
“This place is the 1st Indian restaurant to make food that is tasty and non spicy! A real game changer for me as I can't handle spicy food at all. And although that did an extraordinary service to adjust that to suit me, it didn't lack flavour and authenticity. Delicious dishes, generous portions and lovely staff ?“
“Food was pretty good and well seasoned. Chick was awesome, brisket was good but maybe a little thin, links were good, pork ribs were maybe on the dryer side then use to but still good. Cornbread was on point, and cold Mac taste a little store bought.“
“Great dining experience!!! Great tasting food, we had sea bass with the shrimp skewers, we loved the food. Sides of zucchini, rice & slaw were great. Fantastic service by Adela and Danny. Both were very friendly and very helpful!!! Thank you both. Will be back soon.“
“Excellent Customer service! Very friendly and welcoming staff. They actually care and want to make sure their customers are satisfied. So if you need any accommodations just ask them ! Birria and chicken shredded tacos juicy and full of flavor and they have homemade tortillas which are delicious . 10/10 highly recommend ?❤️“
“Today I had dinner late with a friend and we decided to go to this steakhouse. I haven't been here for at least a year. I must say I ordered the stuffed salmon and wasn't satisfied with the taste. Immediately my waiter noticed and offered to remove the food and, replace it with anything of my choosing. I chose porterhouse steak, was it delicious oh my God and the vegetables out of this world crispy to the taste not soggy at all. I also had mashed potatoes which I thought was very flavorful. The ambience of course with very 1950s, love the atmosphere. Everyone seems so nice. Even the gentleman who parked my car very courteous and the waiters were very kind and attentive. I really like this place. It's a must go. My friend had lobster and steak. There was nothing left within 20 minutes of the food arriving. Laugh out loud, you can't go wrong if you're in Burbank and you're looking for a good steak this is the place to go. The restaurants were clean the place was neat. My steak was tender, medium rare just delicious.“
“They graciously took our group of 16 with no notice and had great food and service. Our group was traveling from Spokane, WA and this was the first of what we expect to be many future trips to the Burbank area for our junior roller derby league and we fully intend to come to this restaurant again next time we are visiting.“
“I thought I already rated this place, so I am ashamed I haven't already. Authentic, fresh, Mexican food. AMAZING fish tacos, shrimps, burritos, guac... I don't eat meat but all of my friends who do love it just as much. It's got a cool vibe and Alondra is so nice and helpful. My favorite local spot for Mexican food, and I take every visitor here so they can have their minds blown.“
“I have been to Gourmet City 3 times in 5 months and each time I discover more culinary delights I haven't tried previously. Come here hungry and ready to enjoy a wide variety of Asian foods, seafood, desserts and salads. Don't forget the freshly made sushi all day long, and the grand finale..... chocolate fountain!“
“The food was so good that I totally forgot to take a picture. We stopped by around 8 pm on a Friday night, there was no line and we got seated pretty fast, service was friendly and phenomenal. The ambiance was nice and neat, I like the decoration. We ordered muscles and king crabs and it was so good as we requested mild and it came out pretty good. I highly recommend this new place.“
