Mind you, I'm no expert on the cuisine, but I've been a fan for a long time and can happily endorse the Étouffée (crawfish), the Jambalaya, the Mac and Cheese, hushpuppies, and the friendly service at Mardi Gras Tuesday. *Though the cornbread didn't necessarily wow me, all and all, it was a great meal for the portions, price and quality. And considering they got slammed as soon as we walked in (around the start of the Super Bowl), the service was quick and we were in and out of there with bellies full of comfort food within an hour. As usual, the service provided by Josh and his support staff was constantly attentive and very friendly. The food was great tasting as always but I do have one complaint. I had the 16 oz. rib-eye, a favorite, perfectly medium-rare and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, I should have asked for a sharper knife: it was pretty rubbery and had more connective tissue throughout than I've had in restaurant-quality meat. Should I have said something? Maybe but we were enjoying dinner with friends, I didn't want to sit with no food and I thought it would improve as I went. It didn't. I kept pulling pieces off (literally, couldn't quite get the serrated knive to cut through some places) until the white strings were left behind for the next bite.
