Don't even need the soy sauce because the rolls are well seasoned. Serving is huge enough to make you full. Almost forgot my hat and very glad my server reminded that I left it in my chair. “The sashimi is consistently of higher quality - fresh with smoother texture - and the tempura lighter without the oil drenched heaviness of old school home cooking. Overall, the food has a tasty, lighter, and balanced flavor profile that we enjoy. But talking about service, can you imagine our surprise when a waitress walked over to our table and gave us 50.00 in cash (not credit) saying that we overpaid on our last visit - a month ago! Some years earlier, one of the sushi chefs and former student of mine paid for our meal as a surprising and much appreciated gesture of gratitude. Thank you.“

“It was our first time. Me and my husband ordered Salmon roll, Eel Roll, Scallop Roll and miso soup. It was the freshest salmon eel and scallop we have ever had! The rolls are 4 pcs but they are HUGE and packed with seafood so it was worth it! The miso is the best miso we’ve ever had as well!“

“Hands down BEST sushi in Ventura! We come here at least once a week. Highly recommend parking along the street, catching sunset on the beach, then coming here for dinner. Although everything I’ve ordered here has been excellent, my very favorites are the Avocado Bomb (the best I’ve ever had) and the Sushi House Roll. The staff are always very welcoming, friendly, and attentive.“

“Let me tell you this place is great!!!! My husband wanted to find a his sushi place and were hesitant at first becuz, the place on the outside isn’t all that, but Don’t let that fool you!! I tried the lobster roll and my husband had the calamari roll.. It was to die for! I recommend this place highly for all to try! Everyone is very sweet and pleasant and made our first time a great experience.. Will be our new to go place!!“

“Best udon noodles in town!

We’ve been going here for years and I always get the cold udon gomuku. It comes with lettuce, shrimp tempura, julienne cucumbers, fish cake, marinated mushrooms, seaweed, and the yummiest sauce. Their fried chicken and calamari are good too. We’ve also had the udon soup and rice bowl combos. Haven’t tried the bento boxed or sushi. Really, we just come here for the udon fix. The waitstaff are always friendly with great service. It’s a small joint in a strip mall but it’s been around forever and is doing something right!“

“Small & family owned. The food tastes great and the prices are very reasonable. The owners are there 6 days out of the week from opening to closing. Do not go there expecting a 5-star fine dining experience, but if you want to support a hard working small mom-and-pop owned restaurant with great quality foods and welcoming atmosphere, it's totally worth a try!“

“We enjoyed the sushi, sashimi, and the beef teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce was delicious! I was extremely disappointed with the ramen though. I liked the vegetables and eggs in it but the ramen noodles were not the authentic Japanese ramen. Unfortunately, it tasted more like ramen from a pack of top ramen noodles. I still recommend this restaurant and will go back to eat there again.“

“Average sushi but I definitely will continue to go there as an option. The “ex-girlfriend roll” is great!! I do take out though, they charge automatic gratuity for dine in which infuriates me! And the dine in service isn’t very good.“
