One the best places to go have some sushi in Ventura. No long waits for table. Service could have been better. Waitress not having a good day.

Sumo | Japanese Restaurant is a must-stop spot for amazing food. The quality is always consistent, and the atmosphere makes it a great place to relax. Favorites include the Alaskan roll, always fresh and full of flavor, and the Mexican roll. The spicy edamame is a must. Service is always super attentive and professional, with courteous staff. The good food and good value make it a great comfort spot. However, the wait can be insanely long; the tablet says 1 to 11 minutes, but expect an hour. Some customers have experienced orders not being brought to the table, though they were not charged. Despite this, Sumo is highly recommended for a quick bite or sitting down with friends.
