Sushi was good, but the rolls are massive which makes it hard to eat, especially with chopsticks. The staff and servers I encountered were very unenthusiastic, like they would much rather be somewhere else. My server was shy and timid…not exactly a good personality for a person who is in contact with people all day. To her credit she did come by a few times and ask me if I needed anything else. Lastly, they should provide wasabi/ginger or at least ask if the guest wants those condiments for the sushi items when they are brought to the table.

I have celiacs disease and both servers were not at all helpful in any way. They told me I came to the wrong place instead of trying to find any solution for me. Didn't even try. To me that is horrible customer service.I wound up getting a Philly roll since I know that I'm not allergic to cream cheese or salmon. I also had some edamame.

I've tried several times to like this place. Last time I went, I prayed I wouldn't get food poisoning. Servers are friendly and atmosphere is okay - location is convenient, but I've been eating at sushi restaurants since I was a kid - I'm in a family of commercial fishermen - DO NOT go to Sumo. Their food is not fresh. Also, the tables, decor, lighting fixtures, and floors were VERY DIRTY. Did not feel safe eating there. Sorry for the negative review.
Very popular place, we arrived at 5:30 on Monday and they had almost a full seating. The rolls are average in quality, falling apart when you eat them, but the fish is fresh. I don't recommend the seafood soba, I didn't like it. The staff is pleasant, polite, serving quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, the food is not very tasty.
