We've selected Fillmore's finest Mexican eateries for you.
“Festive destination while driving down Highway 126 to the beach. Nestled in the small community of Fillmore, Ca, this restaurant is clean with very good service and delicious Mexican food. They serve generous size Margaritas. Their bartender is skilled. I've heard that they have live music sometimes but I've not seen it. I guess I go there too early. Plenty of on-site parking and good amount of street parking, as well. The bathrooms are spotless and spacious. There is absolutely noting for which I could complain“
“Fantastic experience at Los Altos! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The micheladas with shrimp were an absolute game-changer - refreshing, perfectly seasoned, and garnished with shrimp and fresh cucumbers. Now, let's talk about the food. The asada burrito was a flavorful. Tender, juicy beef, savory beans, home made rice and just the right amount of salsa. The arrachera fajitas were a sizzling fresh, with perfectly grilled steak and vibrant, crisp veggies that left us craving for more. And let's not forget about the salsa and chips! The salsa boasted a perfect balance of heat and tanginess, while the chips were crispy and addictively delicious. If you’re looking for hidden menu item, ask for their queso bean dip -perfect to dip everything in!Overall, Los Altos offers home-made authentic food paired with impeccable service, flavorful dishes, and a cozy ambiance, it's a must-visit for any one stopping by Fillmore.“
“Let's be real, La Fondita in Fillmore isn't winning any beauty contests. It's a classic hole-in-the-wall joint, the kind of place that might make you pause at first glance. But here's the thing: forget everything you think you know about hole-in-the-wall spots! La Fondita serves up comfort food that goes way beyond "good." We're talking about soul-warming, finger-lickin', "this is what grandma used to make" deliciousness. It's the kind of food that might come with a stray "nuckle hair" for authenticity (okay, maybe not literally, but you get the picture). But don't let the no-frills exterior fool you. The people at La Fondita are as warm and welcoming as the food itself. They treat you like family, and the genuine kindness just adds to the whole experience. Honestly, La Fondita is worth a trip to Fillmore all by itself. Forget fancy restaurants and trendy menus. This is about pure, delicious comfort food served with a heaping helping of heart. Do yourself a favor and check it out! You won't regret it (and you might just leave with a full belly and a smile).“
“Best overall restaurant in town, especially if you’re looking for good Mexican food, good service, and a good drank. My favorite: the #44, breaded shrimp with rice, sautéed corn, salad, and flower tortillas. Wash it down with a cucumber margarita. I love that Mr. & Mrs Melgoza + family share a bit of their culture through food and service. Feels like home every time I go there ❤️ - they treat you like family.“
“This place has the best tripas! They’re always served fresh and crispy ! I live in Santa Clarita, but I drive through Fillmore a couple times a month and each time I stop in Fillmore for some tripas tacos !! The customer service is awesome too. Must try this place !“
“Portions are generous, price is quite reasonable for what you get! Drive thru service was FLAWLESS. I will definitely be back. Favorite items:CRUNCHWRAP SUPREME, no seasoned beef, no nacho cheese, add onion, add steak, add spicy ranch sauce.NACHO CHEESE DORITOS® LOCOS TACOS SUPREME, no seasoned beef, add chicken, add onion, add Mexican pizza sauce.“
“Best darn Carne Asada burrito I've ever had! That's coming from an American Mexican. Almost went back in immediately to buy another one! Instead, I thought I'd save you one. I will be stopping every time I pass by it! John 14.6“
“If you're looking for a delicious place to eat traditional Mexican carnitas, this is by far the most superior spot. Dont let the huge line out the door scare you away, they move very fast.Traditional hand made tortillas, fresh food and great customer service, you can't go wrong.“
“Really great place. They have a lot of local beers on tap such as Enegren, Topa Topa, Made West, along with a few others. They have big TVs all around with sports games on, it gives more of a sport bar vibe than a Mexican restaurant. The service was really fast and friendly. The food was really good I had the Carne Asada Tacos Street Style and the Chicken Nachos. I feel the Tacos were a little pricey at $3.75 each however the Chicken Nachos which I think were $12 were really good and came with lots of toppings and the Guacamole that comes on the Nachos was tasty as well. Over all great place to chill and eat some great Mexican food.“
“We discovered Covina 1912 on our day trip. We really enjoyed the food, the place is modern and light and service is wonderful. I especially liked the shrimp tostada, but the fish tacos and the chicken mole were also great. We over-ordered, so took the chicken mole home and it still tasted great heated up. We will definitely make this a regular stop on our next outings to Santa Paula and Ojai.“
“Small place hidden within this shopping center. Food was good. The service was good. The food was served quickly. Had the flautas and the chilled relleno. Even though they were good I didn't find the food amazing enough to come back. Would recommend to try but will not be a regular place I go out to eat.“
“Burrito mojado with chile colorado very good you can also get chile Colorado plate with refried beans rice. Sopes are very good with your choice of meat. I also tried birria plate, very good but slightly different than eating birria queso tacos, birria with cheese it’s my preferred way to eat birria.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options like tacos, burritos and plates. But not sure how good those options are.“
“I go here alot for their Fish tacos. Their fish tacos are top tier. ? and the prices are super cheap compared to other places. The people there are also really nice and friendly. They also have a nice little setup outside if you feel like eating outside. Can't really ask for any better.“
“We had a nice meal at Yolanda's. Service was great and our food arrived promptly. Seating was comfortable and our food was tasty. The sides with the fajitas were really good. Most Mexican Restaurants don't give you guacamole or sometimes not even cheese. But I got guacamole, Tomato and onions, and shredded cheese. The portion size was perfect. My son's chicken quesadilla tacos were good too.“
“We loved this place! Their wine list is surprisingly off the charts! They have a really good selection of entrees (we went for dinner). The staff were very friendly and on top of things, pouring the wine, clearing dishes , and filling waters. Great find!!“
“Had the menudo and a cheese pupusa. The pupusa was a very tasty snack served with salsas. The menudo was amazing - it had a spicy kick that just hit the spot & will live on in my dreams. We ate in the beautiful covered patio out back that kindly allowed our dog.“
“I visited this place for the first time, I came with my family and we concluded that it deserves 5 stars for everything. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by one of the staff; the system is very simple, you order and then you take your place or places, shortly after the food arrives at your table. I / we will come back.Thank you to the El Pollo Corona Grill staff for making us feel welcome.“
“2 weeks ago, I went to Somis Cafe, for lunch and had delicious steak burrito, and my wife ordered Chile Relleno to sample, which was like having it made in your kitchen at home., incredible, and delicious. The next 2 times, Chile Rellenos and Chile Colorado, orgasmic, to the taste buds, with a large Jamaica, excellent. As I'm now in NorCal, I, SO MISS, SOMIS Cafe and Market, and shout out to Dorothy, who took great care of us, making sure that we had everything that we ordered. I will be back, they are authentic and delicious. 5 Stars.“
“We have sat in and had a team party catered. The food was great and service was great. We ordered 26 burritos, beans, rice, chips & salsa. The boys talked about how good the burritos were. Price was good and well worth it. I have a new favorite Mexican restaurant in “
“FAMILY OWNED MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN SANTA PAULA CALIFORNIA. GOOD SERVICE, GREAT FRESHLY COOKED FOOD, GOOD PORTIONS, AND REASONABLY PRICED. ALL THE FOOD ON THE MENU IS ALWAYS EXTREMELY TASTEFUL AND DELICIOUS, THE FOOD IS SERVED ON A NICE HOT PLATE EVERY TIME. I TRAVEL 30 MINUTES 2-3 TIMES A WEEK FROM OXNARD TO SANTA PAULA CA TO ENJOY THEIR GREAT TASTING FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ALL MY FRIENDS. THE RESTAURANT IS LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF 10th STREET AND MAIN IN SANTA PAULA CA.“
“My daughter and I have been going there since we moved to SantaPaula 7 years ago. Best abondigas, Spanish omelet, enchiladas, etc! We have never been disappointed. Really yummy Cucumber/jalapeno margs. Marta (the manager) is more than wonderful. Salsa is extremely good. Chips are always warm and fresh. This has been our go to for fresh food, love and family atmosphere. We always feel very welcome. They are extremely accommodating for my wheelchair.“
“Great place to come and eat. It’s a hole in the wall that I’ve seen it before but since it’s so small I never decided to eat here. I’m glad I did the food was great and the chef himself is really nice and seems like a great guy that genuinely cares about making sure his customers are getting the best customer service and food.“
“By far the best Mexican food in Moorpark! The chorizo breakfast burrito is my favorite. And their carne asada actually has char and flavor! Their bolillos are unmatched and their sweet breads are delicious! The owners are also really kind people and they make you feel welcome no matter who you are!“
“This restaurant was and is exactly what we were looking for when we decided to get a hearty and even healthy Mexican meal. The menu is excellent as was our food. The staff were courteous and friendly. The food was delicious, well made, and too much! Neither of us two big guys could finish our plates. The carne asada and veggie chimichangas were amazing as were the chile rellenos. We will be back!“
