“We were headed for Ojai this afternoon but a roadblock through the hills changed our plans. We checked out Santa Paula but nothing really stood out, so we headed towards Filmore and discovered Los Altos Mexican Restaurant - a hidden gem on Santa Clara Street. We really enjoyed our lunch with our patio seating and delicious food and margaritas. We highly recommend this restaurant and are glad our adventure led us to this terrific place!“

“Taco Fresh Mexican Grill has been one of my favorite spots for years. I used to come here all the time when I was younger, and it’s still just as good every time I stop by. The asada here is seriously some of the best around — flavorful, tender, and always cooked perfectly. Their tortas are also amazing and packed with flavor. You can tell this is one of those local places that people keep coming back to for a reason. Great food, friendly people, and a spot that brings back a lot of good memories for me.“

“This is how Taco Bell is supposed to be! Best I've been to. My tacos were full. The taco shells weren't broken or stale. The lettuce was fresh and green. The other ingredients were fresh. The staff was friendly and fast. I've never been to this Taco Bell before, but ill drive past the two closer to my place to come to this one. This place seems to take food handling/storage seriously. The difference in taste is considerable. 👍“

“This is probably the best Mexican spot in Moorpark! The food is amazing, the portions are huge, and the prices are very reasonable. The biggest plus is definitely the staff. The lady who brought us our food was extremely attentive to our needs and very friendly. I'll absolutely be returning!“

“I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants. I love Mexican food. I’ve even inspected restaurants for 30 years. My cousin ordered the Carnitas for a birthday party. It was the best I’ve ever had. Hands-down.“

“Great food and service. Walked right in and was seated. My son ordered a burrito and I ordered the steak fajitas. The burrito was ginormous, he couldn't finish it. The fajitas were delicious. The steak was perfection! Definitely will stop by again! Hidden gem for sure!“

“I’ve been loyal Yolanda’s customer for many years and they always deliver! - but I have to wonder if there’s a new chef in town. I ordered Chile Colorado and it was not like it has been in the past (1 month ago). The beef was tough, the pieces were small 1/2 inch chunks. The sauce was very bland even after added salt. 2 Bay leaves were in my sauce and that’s all I could taste. Not a Mexican flavor at all. Will I stop going? Of course not! But I’m disappointed at this recent change.“

“Always a good California burrito and tacos. My family orders to go all the time. Best option close by in Somis! The owner Alex is very nice! Thank you for bringing your truck to Somis ?
Parking: Park at an angle along the nursery and we’ve never had an issue finding a spot.“

“Stopped by Cochina 1912 in Santa Paula for the first time and this place has a great vibe. Right on Main Street in a historic building from 1912, you can feel that old-school charm with the exposed red brick and clean, cool interior.
Ordered a big bowl of posole — seriously a huge portion and packed with flavor. Couldn’t even finish it, but it was on point. The chips and salsa were solid, and they’ve got a whole lineup of hot sauces. Tried them all — mild, medium, hot, extra hot — and honestly the mild ended up being my favorite. Still full of flavor without overpowering everything else.
Downtown Santa Paula keeps getting better with spots like this popping up. Definitely a chill place to hang out and grab a good meal. I’ll be back.
Local love approved — this place rocks.DC Rock & Soil delivering rock, sand, gravel, and road base to Santa Paula and all of Ventura County. Give us a call — we’re here to help.“

“I've been meaning to try the other places in the shopping center but it's hard to pass up Gaby's. Coworkers and I drive over there from Simi on our lunch break but it's easy with being able to call in our orders and have it ready when we arrive.“

“My Mom and I were in Moorpark for the afternoon (from Oxnard) and happened, by chance, to land here—glad we did!
All the various meats you could want are on offer, with shrimp and fish dishes available, too. We considered the prices reasonable.
Mom ordered a taco salad; I had a big plate of nachos with the meat on top split: half carnitas and half Chile Verde [no other eatery has made a point of offering me this half & half option, btw].
A well stocked, complimentary, self-serve display of salsas, chips, and marinated vegetables was much appreciated.
Our dishes were promptly brought out to our table. Mom's taco salad was not large to look at, but was packed full—she kept commenting about how delicious and fresh everything was (I agree) and enjoyed her beef. My nachos were loaded: carnitas were crispy, not greasy, and with more flavor than I have experienced at other places; the Chile Verde was succulent and scrumptious with a tangy sauce.
For unpretentious Mexican fare, Taqueria El Tapatio was really a delightful surprise for us. We're not Moorpark locals, but will be back when we can.“

“Legit street tacos. Authentic flavor for barbacoa, cabeza, and lengua tacos. I ordered the babacoa plate to go and the rice and beans tasted just like my mom makes. The barbacoa was savory, herb-y, and tender. They were selling these big avocados at the counter for only a dollar, I bought one and they offered to slice it up to add to the tacos I ordered to eat in. Warm and welcoming owners. Great food.
Parking: Small parking lot next to the restaurant, plenty of street parking.“
“I am the only Real Juan to review on this food ( The rest of the people who did a bad review js doesn’t have good taste buds and prefer McDonalds) I have tried a lot of tortas from LA from food trucks in Oxnard and Ventura and this torta from this specific food truck in Santa Paula is delicious (asada,x2avocado,cheese and lettuce ) u can taste all the tiny details inside the torta even their green sauce/salsa verde is amazing, This food truck has potential and with my big back (🍽️🫃)I will make this food truck a Restaurant
(Por los Mexicanos que no entienden esto ,lo que dijo es que la comida está bien buenísima👌)😮💨🤤“

“We love this place. They catered our rehearsal dinner at the house, fresh food every time we go, it’s a small little Mexican restaurant so don’t expect anything lavish, but that’s also why it’s so good… family owned, humble, amazing food. My go-to is the carne asada burrito, only meat, and the red sauce from the salsa bar 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽“

“10/08/2023... worst experience for breakfast. Food was bad, customer service was worse but even more terrible was the attitude given by the manager and waitress. Absolutely no F's were given. Waited over 30 minutes only to be told they were out of the menudo... on a Sunday at noon.“

“Come here after seeing a post on Facebook and it didn't disappoint! Bit of a language barrier but it wasn't a problem. Food was fresh to order and tasted incredible. Not to mention the price was extremely fair considering the quality, bout $15 for an Enchalada and wet burrito. Would highly recommend making the trip.“

“I had a carnitas burrito. It was kind of hard to order cuz thier menu doesn't include plain rice and meat burrito. They found it hard to understand that all I wanted was the pork, then some rice and finally sour cream wrapped up in a tortilla. I told her I'd add the salsa myself as I ate it. Once she found away to take my order everything was fine. They seem to think they need to reinvent the burrito...if they made it my way they wouldnt know handle the amount of business they'd get.. but not my problem. Till then the carnitas was awesome and I really enjoyed my burrito..“

“I have never had a bad experience here. Both bartenders have been bartending since the 1980s, and make great drinks that never lack flavor or alcohol. Also, the pricing is right for the area. We have been to other bars in the area off of Los Angeles Ave and they were overpriced and drinks were water-downed trash. Jalisco is a chill local spot and people are personable there. A+“

“Everything is fine, the detail is that it takes a little while to serve. The food has that homemade flavor, they sell Mexican and Salvadoran food. It is in a small town with very old buildings such as the train station. And how nice it is that everyone knows each other.
Parking: It is on a street where there are more shops, old ones that look like they are from the old West, and they park on the street.
Kid-friendliness: It is suitable for children because it is family-friendly.“
“Best pan Dulce in Santa Barbara customer service Very Friendly 😀 Visiting from LA“

“I order here often. Love the food.
Four stars because the Only negative is that since the price increase the portions have gotten A LOT SMALLER. THEY ARE HALF THE SIZE THEY USED TO BE.
Some people say the to go orders tend to be smaller as opposed to you standing there and watching them make it.“
