“What a surprise! Will be back again and again. The food is excellent and while it’s not table service, the service is helpful and fairly quick. Did I mention the food is delicious? I love their margaritas here. It’s not tequila. It’s a wine tequila. Must try.
I love that they have booths at this place.
We met the owner. Hands-on, very interested in his customers’ comfort and experience.
This is a place Agoura/Oak Park/Westlake didn’t even know we needed.“

“I have been going here for some time now. For some reason, ceviche with tuna was out of the world this time around. It was the best I had in a very long time. we were a group of 4, but I guess I finished all of it on my own. Just want to give a big kudos to the kitchen staff for making this dish very memorable.“

“Amazing service. Went to another place who didn’t want understand that I m driving a 44 foot trailer and I won’t fit into the driveway but came here and they were super nice about it and let me in. Also the service was awesome. That’s Waltham you call a 5star customer service when someone understands your circumstances and are kind enough to help you out!!! I would suggest a raise in the pay to who ever worked the Night Shift on 9/5/23. Thanks guys ❤️“

“I went to Sharkys with my 13wk old puppy to start practicing sitting nicely at a restaurant. I carried him in to pick up, and asked if there is an option to have the food brought outside (I dont want to be that rule breaker, bringing in pets that are not service dogs) The server was really sweet and explained, I just have to order to eat in, and they will find me outside. PS - he did great!“

“This place is one of a kind. From the atmosphere to the customer service. Walking in you see the amazing mural they have on the back wall but you also get an instant aroma of the delicious food they have brewing. Jesse’s friendly face at the counter invites you in and his knowledge of the food leaves you conflicted on what to order. I had a classic, their menudo. It came with handmade tortillas and their taco bar has the most flavorful red salsa I’ve ever had. Perfect combination for the menudo. I also had an agua fresca. Their cucumber mint was refreshing. My girlfriend had their pozole. Although I didn’t taste it I couldn’t help but steal one of her tostadas, slap on some of that red salsa and some cheese and sour cream. To finish it off we had a plátano frito with lechera. Honestly, everything was to die for. Will definitely be back for more. We were left with a craving for their specialty, their huarache.“

Their Micheladas are the best in town! Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself. Oh, their carnitas tacos, tortilla chips and salsa, chilaquiles, flautas de pollo, menudo, I mean the list goes on. “Real crab in the burrito-peefect.The Cancun burrito which had grilled fish and real crab, had an amazing flavor. It comes with tortilla which is great with the salsa bar. Great flavors, ch I ices and pther items at the self service bar. Especially the Habanero. Staff are welcoming and friendly which is a high point. I wished the burrito was a little larger, but with the chips amd crab is filling. I cannot wait to come back again. Overall, 10/10. Flavor 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Happy hour is reasonable. Taco Tuesday is fun and a pretty good deal.

Rice really good, friend beans excellent
Red sauce, salsa roja, i thinks it could be improved, too simple.
Tortillas were ok.
Arturo was super friendly and profesional.
Good priced.

“My Mom and I were in Moorpark for the afternoon (from Oxnard) and happened, by chance, to land here—glad we did!

All the various meats you could want are on offer, with shrimp and fish dishes available, too. We considered the prices reasonable.

Mom ordered a taco salad; I had a big plate of nachos with the meat on top split: half carnitas and half Chile Verde [no other eatery has made a point of offering me this half & half option, btw].

A well stocked, complimentary, self-serve display of salsas, chips, and marinated vegetables was much appreciated.

Our dishes were promptly brought out to our table. Mom's taco salad was not large to look at, but was packed full—she kept commenting about how delicious and fresh everything was (I agree) and enjoyed her beef. My nachos were loaded: carnitas were crispy, not greasy, and with more flavor than I have experienced at other places; the Chile Verde was succulent and scrumptious with a tangy sauce.

For unpretentious Mexican fare, Taqueria El Tapatio was really a delightful surprise for us. We're not Moorpark locals, but will be back when we can.“
