“Jessica the manager saves the day! My app glitches and she still honored my coupon! She was kind and friendly and understanding. The food came out fast and was hot and delicious. There is plenty of parking if you want to go inside and eat. The drive thru went quickly and efficiently. I didn't go inside so I can't comment on that but I will be back just because of Jessica! Thank you again for being so friendly during a bad situation.“
“I know, the name outside is a Mexican restaurant, but you will travel to Sri Lanka for sure. The ambiance is really simple, casual, every Friday and Saturday nights they have buffet for $20 person. You need eat with hooper, a pancake bowl. The food is delicious! And the service is friendly. Also, you need try Fatoolah, delicious drink dessert , $4. There is a market beside, I will try next day. It was a tip from one Sri Lanka guy.“
“We liked it a lot! I went with my family, and all the dishes we ordered were very well served and delicious. We ordered birria, a fish fillet, some tacos, chicken fajitas and Menudo. Excellent service and the place is very cozy.I highly recommend this place!!“
“Fantastic service great vibe. Food was good a little above average. They are a cantina but DO NOT serve alcohol. They said they will be soon but as of our visit they did not. The pork belly was amazing and the best dish we had. The quest fundido was delicious but the addition of chorizo would have made it over the top delicious. The Asada is not a traditional Carne Asada. It was a bit chewy and I would not get it again. The breakfast tacos were delicious. You can't go wrong giving this place a try and maybe you'll enjoy the asada more than we did. I will definitely be back once they open the bar and give other items a try.“
“These guys hit it on all that counts! The service was great from the second I walked in until I left! Food was excellent and the atmosphere was fun! That's a lot of exclamation points but they earned it! I started with the House Margarita with Chips and Salsa, both were great but the salsa was to die for. I had the Fajitas El Patron for dinner, OMG...the steak and chicken were so tender they could both be cut with a fork and the flavor was spectacular. Loved the shrimp too and the veggies were caramelized to perfection. Can't wait to come back!“
“Really great place. They have a lot of local beers on tap such as Enegren, Topa Topa, Made West, along with a few others. They have big TVs all around with sports games on, it gives more of a sport bar vibe than a Mexican restaurant. The service was really fast and friendly. The food was really good I had the Carne Asada Tacos Street Style and the Chicken Nachos. I feel the Tacos were a little pricey at $3.75 each however the Chicken Nachos which I think were $12 were really good and came with lots of toppings and the Guacamole that comes on the Nachos was tasty as well. Over all great place to chill and eat some great Mexican food.“
“Amazing service! I wish all restaurants were this outgoing at their registers. It made me feel like nothing would go wrong! This place is one of those order at the counter, then sit till they call you to pick it up. Most tables were taken, but we were still able to find a seat. The seating area was cozy, but they also had an outdoor seating area, but it was windy and chilly, so we stayed inside. I ordered the Chorizo with beans, and my Aunt ordered the Chile relleno. You could tell it was made with love. The guys that work there are really pleasant and run a fantastic ship. If I visit Auntie again in her neck of the woods, I would definitely come back.“
“I revisited this place after years, having been a regular from 2007 to 2014 growing up. Surprisingly, nothing much has changed, except for the owner sporting grey hairs and the welcomed addition of card payments. The familiar great taste of the food, horchata, and salsa remain the same in a good way.“
“To the person that is reading this, I just want you to know that the food was so good that it saved me from depression. It was a rainy day, I had no motivation no energy no nothing. But then I went around and looked for food places near by and I went and ordered “Carne Asada fries” (I’m lactose) but that didn’t stop me. The staff were awfully nice and sweet. I was all depressed until they said my food was ready. I took one bite and oh my days. My toes started to curl, my hair started to go up, I was literally floating. Each fry was unbelievable savory and so good. My depression on that day was finally cured. 15 years of depression all gone with just one fry. So yes I do definitely recommend this. Ps. If you don’t eat from here then you’re gay.“
“Best breakfast burrito I've had in quite some time. Best part was that they let me sub potatoes for the meat. The burrito came out quickly after ordering at the counter. The lady who helped me was incredibly nice and offered some extra salsa (the spicy salsa was perfect). The burrito had tasty potatoes, fluffy eggs, and a good portion of beans, wrapped in a warm, flakey tortilla. Don't miss it!“
“We ordered the Vista Al Mar appetizer with a pitcher of margaritas. The place is very clean. We found it to be a decent spot and definitely plan to come again. Next time I want to try to Birra tacos.Vegetarian options: There are veggie options.“
“Haven’t had some great breakfast food in months due to being deployed (military). First stop back home, Jerry’s Coffee Shop. Breakfast food hit the spot! Jerry’s is my favorite place in town to get breakfast and the people there are very nice. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend you go. You won’t regret it!“
“I just stopped by today and had a great experience here. I got carnitas and al pastor street tacos and they were unbelievable. Such great flavors in the meat. Also the green and red salsa were very complimentary (red salsa is smoky spicy yum). Got the asada quesadilla for the kids (of course I had a bite) and was really pleased with the asada flavor too! Even the sour cream is great, homemade you can tell. The attention to quality is apparent!I am super glad because the first few times I was not impressed. Maybe I got the wrong things, and it seemed expensive, but everything was great at the service was great as well! It was only $20 and was enough food for 3 adults. Saw they have really good $12 lunch deals now too. Can't wait to come back!!“
“Had a wonderful time for a bridal shower. Unfortunately we didn't get to take advantage of the beautiful patio due to the weather but they created a beautiful indoor space for us. The food was delicious, highly recommend the ahi tacos. The black beans were a bit bland though but everything else was tasty.“
“It's been over 15 years since I've had an amazing asada burrito and they have a SUPER BURRITO option, it's 2 burritos rolled into one, about the size of an average forearm and fuuuuuuu it's the best legit burrito I've had in a long time lots of meat and cheese just the right amount of beans and rice, they don't use rice as filler and that's key. Get a burrito and don't forget to grab a large watermelon aqua fresca, it's amazing! This place is worth it!“
“Love supporting really good local businesses and this one is one we keep coming back to. Previously I've had a burger, teriyaki bowl, salad and all were delicious. This time I had the hard shell tacos with beef which was very good and so filling I barely touched the rice and beans. I love that the menu has so many options to please everyone in your party and the food is great! The owner is really nice (usually at the register taking your order) and will help walk you through the menu.“
“I ordered Asada fries and let me tell you i devoured it. I normally do not eat a lot but man that ssshhhh was so bomb i finish it! Pardon my language. The Service/Workers was equally as amazing, kind, friendly, above and beyond! I definitely got more bang for my buck too because that plate was packed of Asada was packed!“
“The staff is always friendly and look like they enjoy working here. My favorite menu item is the nachos.....always good and SO BIG!! It comes in a pizza box. Today they were decorating for Cinco de Mayo and having fun getting the whole team involved. Highly recommend.“
“I have been to El Pollo Corona Grill, a few times both in their MoorPark and their Simi Valley locations. The food is excellent! Compliments to their chefs! I have had their chicken, tri-tip and pork chop plates. Service is very fast and very friendly. The place is clean and orderly. Often there are many people in their restaurant, either sitting enjoying their meal or getting takeout. Their counter attendants are welcoming, quick and very good at what they do helping to keep the line moving. Thank you ElPollo Corona Grill team for a great experience and place to have lunch or dinner!“
“We had a nice meal at Yolanda's. Service was great and our food arrived promptly. Seating was comfortable and our food was tasty. The sides with the fajitas were really good. Most Mexican Restaurants don't give you guacamole or sometimes not even cheese. But I got guacamole, Tomato and onions, and shredded cheese. The portion size was perfect. My son's chicken quesadilla tacos were good too.“
“Jennifer is amazing and so so sweet! Best coffee i have had in a while and the amazing customer service made my day even more. The coffee bar is connected to a yummy diner which makes the ambiance very homey and comforting. If youre nearby definitely check this place out! :)“
“Omg, we ended up at this restaurant looking for another one, it was a blessing in disguise. The food is amazing, we all had different dishes and we all loved them. The mango margarita was the bomb. Our waiter Juan was so attentive and courteous. I will be coming “
“The paleta margarita is always delicious and strong and huge. Comes with lots of ice. The taquitos can be made vegan if you ask for all the toppings on the side and avoid the dairy and dressings (honey). The chips and guacamole are always like the best thing ever. Did you know they have habanero salsa? It'll knock your socks off. Yes, it's spicy lol. For a nicer ambiance ask to sit outside because indoors is a bit noisy. Bathroom can get messy at peak hours. Excellent service. I am a very repeat customer. Good for families or a night out with friends or a hot date. Oh and you can it all to go, just call ahead. Parking is dicey on Canyon Club nights and it can be cold at night. Cinco de Mayo is literally a no go, too busy. I detracted a star because there's nothing inherently vegan on the menu. But I could live off the chips and salsa. Seriously, go try.“
“Parking is not an issue. Staff is very kind and helpful. Prices and portions are fair. Specials available at this fast casual and cozy spot. They also have deals depending on the day with their tacos. Menu has a good variety. Free chips and a delicious salsa when you check in on Yelp.“
“I was recommended there by Jillian Barberie from Good Day L.A. It was my 1st time there & it did not disappoint at all. Valet parking. Quick prompt service, waitress was attentive and food was spot on! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I just started coming here and for the last couple of times, the food has been great the people that work there are very nice as well. the prices are super fair for how amazing my tacos were super juicy and the chicken just melts in your mouth. the green salsa is super good on your taco and the chips are pretty good too. if you go there always ask for the green salsa when they bring chips because the other one they give is horrible. overall I would give it an 8/10 very good would recommend it.“
“OK, maybe a 4.5 star. I have been going here for decades. The menu is diverse offering seafood, like most don't. This isn't the bad cooking smothered in mole sauce and delivered to your table like others. I think the current star rating is not a good as they really are. The reviews are pretty old, so I thought I would update mine. Will be back this week.“
“It's about time I leave a review. One of the most consistent restaurants with great service and food in Simi Valley. Sunday, my family tried giving Mariachi Loco Grill and Cantina a try for a different type of menu to fall short, cancel our order, pay for our drinks and drive to Maria's where it is tried and true. What an extreme difference in experience between the two restaurants but nothing less than what it is every time we visit Maria's which is at least three times a month. How refreshing to have great service, great food (Mole, guac and Agua Fresca my fav) all effortlessly. Thank you Maria's for being authentic and never disappointing. Keep shining!“
“Called in an order, arrived at the time they had indicated it would be ready. Took awhile before anyone acknowledged my presence to pay, took another few minutes for my take out to be ready. The panzon and carnitas are excellent. I'll come back for those.“
“Best pupusas in San Fernando valley ! I love their food very tasty and the service is amazing, I can eat their pupusas every single day and will never get tired, plus they treat you as a family I always feel very welcome, the restaurant is always clean. I recommend it 100% .Parking: Always parking available“
“Really beautiful restaurant and our service was very good. Our waitress was very polite and informative about the area and answered all of our questions. The food however, must be like this because of the demographic. But we were expecting a more authentic Mexican experience. It was enjoyable but not exactly Mexican food more fusion. Will definitely return for the atmosphere though!!“
“Nice restaurant! Good food! Too bad about the customer service. ?. They left me waiting to take phone orders. You have to give priority to the client who is present. A suggestion, have waiters. I would definitely help this restaurant, very delicious and clean.“
“Got the carne asada burrito and it was delicious! It had a mild tamarind flavor which was different. The lady that helped me was very nice and offered a variety of hot sauces and packed them up for me. Definitely a go to spot if you don't eat meat but are craving the flavor! It also had several tables inside for dining in.“
“Best tacos in the West San Fernando Valley!!! Me and my Family have came here for over 20 years now. This place is a Canoga Park Staple their Salsa is unique making their tacos & Burritos Delicious and Memorable. I have family members that moved away who make it a priority to get Big Burrito when they're in town.“
“This is my go-to taco spot in the valley! Parking isn't that great considering that it is at a park, but it's not horrible. The tacos itself is what gets me going back and the customer service is good. They have a lot of options and the price is affordable as well.“
“Everything is very delicious, the food is Mazatlan Sinaloa style, we always buy the breaded sushi, Aguachile Negro Tacos Gobernador and the Empanadas, all very delicious. The owners are very friendly and take care of you as it should be. 100% “
“Consistently amazing. The portions are huge and the food is out of this world! Service is quick and the location is very nice with relaxing ambiance. Taqueria La Plebe is my go-to spot when I'm craving authentic and delicious mexican food.“
“Birria Del Valle is my go to birria spot in The San Fernando Valley. I would go as far to say it's the best of all LA county. I've had thier mulittas, quesabirria and had for the first time today thier Birria Noodles in which all have been outstanding in taste, filling and freshness. It's a must try no doubt & mock my words when I say you will keep coming back. If I could rate it's overall quality, it's beyond a five star rating.“
“The food is amazing, a little pricey maybe but worth it for that once in a while splurge! Friendly staff good service, quick and fast. Always, ALWAYS super clean. I love that. From the ground up clean clean. The tortillas are so good. I love the carnitas taquitos those are my favorite. Menudo was ok but no where close to my grandma's lol, I have not tried the pazole yet. Tacos are good and juevos ranchero so good, too many to name!! Try it if you're in the area, parking stinks but that's not their fault, there is more parking in the back. Enjoy!!“
“The place looks great. The food is absolutely good. The Kabob plates are amazing and are perfect in every aspect. All the food is great. They have great service and people check up on you when you dine in. Overall one of the best kabobs I’ve had.Parking: Parking is always available.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. There are no stairs to the restaurant.“
“Viva Mexico! Manulitos isn't just a restaurant, it's a fiesta for your senses. The atmosphere is electric, filled with vibrant colors and lively music. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and the enticing aroma of sizzling fajitas and fresh herbs. The menu is a delicious journey through Mexico's culinary landscape. Each dish is bursting with flavor, showcasing the use of authentic ingredients. Whether you crave succulent carne asada, savory mole poblano, or refreshing ceviche, Manulitos has something to tantalize every taste bud. The portions are generous, perfect for sharing or satisfying a hearty appetite. And don't forget the margaritas! Manulitos serves some of the best in town, sure to quench your thirst and keep the fiesta going.“
“This place has fantastic and delicious offerings that you don't often see at most Mexican restaurants. Their ceveche is the best I've ever had, even in high end restaurants. Their tacos Dorado are a hearty portion of goodness. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.“
“The help is very efficient and helpful! A great way to start a meal. It has some terrific Mexican food of all types and combinations. It has been around for a long time, so they know what they are doing. You can order almost anything Mexican and it is served quickly and is delicious! We go about once a month and highly recommend it! One of Simi Valley's gems!!“
“Not only are the servers super attentive but the food never misses. The food quality is consistent and we always leave satisfied! I've tried a variety of the steak options but the steak Ranchero is by far my favorite! The garlic rice is a perfect touch with the refried beans! Awesome place, definitely one of my go-to's!“
“2nd time getting from here. First time was with a client. This time I popped in for lunch and decided to try some different than my first time and so far everything I have tried from here has been ON POINT!! friendly staff too. Definitely will be back to try other menu items!“
“The pozole here is incredible according to my family and they love the unique taste and love coming here. I personally got the lengua burrito and I’m going to be honest here it was alright. The waitress was really helpful at making things right whenever we had a problem with our food but also making sure we were enjoying it. Very friendly staff. The inside seating is a little cramped if you come in with five plus people.Parking: The parking for this place is very cramped and holds about 7 cars without it being maxed out.Kid-friendliness: Super friendly to kids. My little sister didn’t like the burrito and the waitress speaker to her in a kind way asking what she can do to make it right.“
“Not sure why the reviews are so bad? First time here tonight. The staff is incredibly nice. I was unable to decide so I was offered samples. The cashier was friendly. There was a gentleman on his break and he (without me asking) made sure to refill the horchata. The food itself is tasty. Big portions. I really like the tortilla and the chicken was very flavorful. You basically choose if you want a quesadilla, burrito etc then get to pick what goes in it. A bit similar idea to chipotle. The place is casual and extremely clean.A good spot with the ability to create some healthy choices. The reason I gave four stars is because I simply cannot justify the price. Otherwise, great place and great hardworking staff.“
“I popped in at 9:30 pm on Super Bowl Sunday and had a nice meal. I live in Simi Valley and all the Mexican food places close by 9 or 10 pm. I didn't wanna be rushed so it was nice they're open til 11. Walked in and was greeted by Tony I believe who was sweeping the floor. We talked some football. Didn't catch the name of the nice lady behind 5he register but she was cool too.. They are really nice. They got my Super Nachos out to me in a just a few minutes. For meat I had lengua. The lengua was nice and tender and had just the right amount of flavor. Everything was fresh and the portion was just how I like it. Big! The Jamaica drink was full of flavor and nice and cold. They also have a salsa bar. I will definitely go back and support this family owned business.Parking: It is a small plaza and unless uts later at night parking will be a lil difficult. Not a deal breaker tho.“
“My wife caught wind of this spot from a SFV local, said this was where his family ate often when he was a kid growing up in Reseda. He said it was the best Mexican food in the Valley. Aye, he was right. The food is clean, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. I mean for most of the menu options you're basically getting two meals. You enter through the door on the east side where there's a line leading up to a cashier area. The menu will be all over the wall to the right of the cashier. The ordering was pleasant, although I had asked for a tostada con machaca (shredded beef) which was on their menu. However she put "con carnitas" in the system, when I told her I wanted shredded beef not shredded pork, she looked at me blankly and said they didn't have that. I relented because I was hungry and had 4 guests with me, so I asked for carne asada instead. The burritos are massive. Grandma got 2 carne asada tacos; she ended up splitting the double tortilla shells and making 4 perfect tacos. That's how much meat they have! Our boy got the chicken soup, which was delicious! When I'm in need of comfort, I'll come back for this. My tostada was delicious, I ate the whole thing! My wife only ate half of hers though. There's a healthy portion of meat in there and the sour cream/guac toppers were heavy handed! The sodas you do yourself - they have two fountain machines. There's a salsa bar that I wish was bigger, the traffic is always heavy around it. The dining atmosphere is like being at your abuela's house - we had the kids snag a table and give us some time to order. The place can be super busy, but the vibe makes you feel comfortable in the chaos. All love for this place, I'll be back soon!“
“Mexican dinners are rarely misses, this is no exception. Their steak breakfast burrito was the perfect, post-fasting blood work meal for my uncle. He was really impressed. I had the Chilaquiles, and they were perfect; the texture and richness of the Chilaquiles paired well with nicely executed rice and beans. Super patient and friendly staff. They do catering, definitely keep them in mind.“
