Staying in Carp for a couple months and thought we’d give this place a shot. First, it was very expensive for what we got. We had 3 items and they got that wrong, we got a rice and bean burrito instead of a bean and cheese. Had to drive back to the shop to correct the order. The bean and cheese burrito was whole white beans not refried, and was decent tasting. My son and I got 3 quesobirria tacos with consommé. This is a nice little hole-in-the-wall taqueria, with all the essentials: lots of menu options and lots of salsa. Actually, they really take salsa seriously, with an abundance of options you can select from, all labeled so no surprises. I ordered three tacos: two chicken and one pork. The thing about Don Roge: when you order chicken tacos, you get loads of chicken (and little else). When you order pork, you get loads of pork. Really middle of the road taco shop. It wouldn't be my first choice but we were feeling tacos and these guys were the few shops in town. I got some enchiladas and street tacos. The enchiladas were pretty good. The street tacos were a bit bare. They came with the tortillas and the meat. The salsa bar had all the toppings you needed. It really puts emphasis on the meat.
