“The food was excellent and it's a cool building. They need to streamline the ordering process or have waiters take orders from tables. There was quite a backup at the counter and a bit of a wait to get food but the staff are great. Will definitely go back“
“Chef David's one of the best little restaurants in the area, absolutely top-notch! It's a little hidden away gem just off Main Street in Santa Paula. What truly sets it apart is the fantastic menu with very creative but still down to earth dishes like, for example, a delightful caramelized onion and pear burger. And they also usually have some daily specials like really fantastic fish and chips on Fridays that are some of the best I've had in a long time.Unfortunately, the founder Chef David Raigoza recently passed, which left a big hole in the community in Santa Paula. But his great restaurant staff are carrying his torch, and my heart goes out to them. I hope David's legacy will, through them, keep delighting people for many years to come.“
“Anna's a great edition to Santa Paula that began during the covid pandemic. It's a friendly place with live music on the weekends. You can sit outside on the expansive patio or inside, where it's friendly and comfortable. There are about 5-10 taps that include a variety of their ciders or rotating local beer taps. I really liked the habanero cider, it's a delicious straight forward cider with a bit of a kick. However, it was their wine that really spoke to me. I like their reds, I tried two on my last visit. You can expect to pay about $7-8 per drink. And order some food from next door at Gunsmoke BBQ or the food trucks that pull right up to the patio, if they are hosting food trucks when you visit. Make a full night of it. You won't regret the choice. See their Instagram for photos and more details. Be sure to note hours before you go. Parking in small lot and on street.“
“My husband and I went this Sunday Morning decided to try out this place for the first time and it was absolutely delightful the service was excellent. Very clean and colorful. I would recommend you the Vince's Huevos Rancheros and the Chile Poblano. They also have an open Bar but it was too early for us to try their cocktails. Will come back again next time. Thank you for your awesome service Capricho Staff“
“Out of the way place right on the Santa Paula airport. The breakfast is really good. Cooked right to order. A few hiccups, but really good. The service is top-notch. Mindy was my server and was very kind and on top of every table she had that morning. Will definitely be back.“
“More food options than the Cheesecake Factory, and it’s all vegan! You MUST try the pazole! It’s the perfect colder weather soup or for if you’re feeling spicy. They are a fusion pick up counter style restaurant and one of my all time favorites! Please check them out and become a regular if you live in the area!“
“Tamarind Thai impressed me with its ability to customize traditional dishes, catering perfectly to specific dietary preferences.I ordered red curry, prepared without fish sauce, and retained its rich and aromatic essence, proving that authenticity can be maintained even with ingredient modifications. The basil fried rice, ordered without egg, was a flavorful companion to the curry, bursting with the fragrant essence of basil that elevated the dish. Overall, Tamarind Thai delivers a delightful culinary experience, showcasing their skill in crafting dishes that are both delicious and accommodating.“
“So, I swung by B & J Drive-In for a quick lunch, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience! Picture this: a charming little diner with a classic drive-up setup. You order at the window, grab your number, and voila, food's on its way.First impressions? Clean as a whistle. Not a speck of trash in sight, and the staff? Super friendly and helpful. They even helped me navigate their menu with ease. Now, onto the grub. Oh boy, where do I start? They've got everything from juicy cheeseburgers to mouthwatering hot wings. I opted for the Asada burrito, and let me warn you, it's massive! Flavor-packed and oh-so-satisfying. My brother went for the corn burritos, and he couldn't stop raving about them. Fresh and homemade vibes all the way.But wait, there's more! My nephew tackled their colossal cheeseburger like a champ. Two patties, onion rings, cheese, bacon...you name it, it's on there. And trust me, it's as ginormous as it sounds. All in all, B & J Drive-In gets a big thumbs up from me. Quick service, delicious food, and that cozy diner vibe make it a winner in my book.“
“I have lived in Camarillo for 5 years and have relatives and been coming back and forth Camarillo for years, I'm not sure how I missed This spot, but when I found it it's been my constant go to. I constantly meet my friends there. Coffee is good Affogato or however it's spelled is very good! Cookies are also another favorite. I'm not much of a sweet tooth type of person, but 85% of the time I end up getting a cookie. Staff is nice and friendly, great place to bring my wife and daughter to play board games or card games.“
“This place has great food and great service. They also make amazing shakes, malts and even a rootbeer float. Been here twice and expect to return lots more in the future.Parking: I come with a motorcycle club and so far, we've been able to park all of our bikes (12+) side by side.“
“Love this place! The wines are always excellent and the servers are knowledgeable and helpful. My favorite is the create your own charcuterie, where you get to choose your own cheeses and meats. I've never seen that anywhere before and it makes for such a fun and unique experience. Everything here is delicious.“
“Dry sautéed eggplant Pork xiao long bao Chong Qing special chicken Wonton in spicy sauce Service can get a little tight as they get busier. A certain waiter can do with better customer service but after that, he serviced our table fine. This is not your average Chinese spot, so come in with a hearty appetite. Food here is one of a kind in Ventura County, that's for sure! Loved their dry sautéed eggplant and chong Qing spicy chicken. Note that they close from 3pm-4:30pm“
“Great place for appetizers, happy hour, ambience, and good music. We saw Smokey and Friends play, they were so good I don't think I'd ever wanna come back unless they were playing. The service was a bit slow. And we had to keep flagging down our waitress. If you are looking for a big meal, don't. All the plates are pretty small. Other than their salad, they look large and amazing.“
“Super good service. Seated us quickly, helped pick out some appetizers and got us them quickly. Goat cheese with chilli sauce is really really good. Edamame also was seasoned well and was a great order. Manager gave us some fries to try for our first visit and talked to us for a bit. Overall just a really great experience. Good job to the staff.“
“It's like being at your favorite tia's house! You feel at home having conversations sharing a joke and laugh all whole having a delicious meal. They start off by bringing a basket of mini muffins with a variety of flavors freshly baked and rotating so it's a surprise each visit. The energy is very old school there's no feeling of judgement it really brings back an old school Americana vibe I haven't seen in this country for a long time. I ordered up the NY steak and eggs with grilled onions on top and it was a nice sized steak seasoned well to the point that you didn't need steak sauce a welcome steak compared to many others I've had who have to hide the blandness behind sauces. The hashbrowns crispy exterior and flush interior with some tapatio and ketchup was perfect to pair with the steak. A great start to any day and a welcome vibe of OG America“
“Andrew was superb in assisting us with our bowl. Not only was he patient, he was very attentive to any questions we had. This location is clean, simple but inviting. We ordered a large Acai base 3/4 filled and topped to our hearts desire. While I don't usually opt for chocolate, my brother wanted to try it so we ended up with a surprisingly good mix of fruits and sweets. Definitely won him over as he wants to return again lol! They have a number of bases to choose from and while it's so hard to pick, Acai is my go to. Can't wait to return and try different types of variety.“
“Always enjoyable Adolfo Grill!! We love the atmosphere and the food. The bar area is fun and lively. The dining area can be intimate or family fun. This evening, my boyfriend ordered the daily special Porterhouse, seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also had the popular fish and chips, grilled lemon chicken and the small plate of salmon skewers, which was actually a perfect dinner size. The service is always wonderful. It's a favorite spot for special occasions or dinner with friends.“
“Great place. Good beer, great service. Topa Topa is where the employees from other local breweries go when they aren't working. I know because they are very open about it, from what I experienced. My opinion says Topa Topa is better. I wonder why? That says a lot!Freda's pizza is great. Bill has quite an impressive operation. Customer service is always their number one priority.I once had a complaint bc they made the wrong pizza, due to my party's miscommunication, and difficult pizza. Sorry! The owner walks out and says he accepts the blame, and personally made the right one. And asked us to also keep the other one, which I actually liked. It was the people we were with who had the specific order. They didn't say we, the customers, were in the wrong. The opposite happens at another large brewery in town. That really turned me off. Taking sides with the staff over the paying customers will never keep a customer-reliant business open...in the long run. Bad reputations get around and cannot be changed once the 'cement' is poured and dried in the public's opinion.Topa Topa has a great patio with live music often. The beers are fresh here and a great location. No wonder the other large brewery's staff flocks to Topa Topa. I'm my opinion, it's just because it's friendly and Topa Topa cares about the community and it's most valued customers.I just noticed also that Jack, owner/founder of Topa Topa, even replies to Yelp posts. He clearly doesn't take his customers for granted. Excellent.Oh one more thing, the other brewery told me it was inappropriate to be taking photos at the bar bc the staff felt uncomfortable. Topa Topa appreciates guests taking photos and sharing. Here are some! Thanks for letting me take these photos Topa Topa! They are just for the Untappd app.Cheers! Come on down to Topa Topa“
“This restaurant is a gem. We rediscovered it after a long time away. The service is EXCELLENT! The ambiance is wonderful. You can tell the owner cares about his customers and his staff. The food is delicious! We had the meatball appetizer, various pasta dishes with oil and garlic or basil. Also the eggplant and policastro were yummy. Wine list is well thought out and reasonable. Got to try it! Make a reservation“
“If you're in the Oxnard or Ventura area, or passing through, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in at the Lester Fam Cellars. You just cannot go wrong here. Their wine is really fabulous- their reds in particular, are just stellar. Their tasting room is a like a modern day speakeasy, just as fun as it sounds! We absolutely felt like family after meeting the Lester's- we stayed for two hours and it felt like minutes, great conversation, amazing time- will 100% be back and will 100% be buying more of their gorgeous wine!!!“
“Just a cool spot. Pool tables, dart boards, outside patio, great drinks, great people.... a neighborhood bar that welcomes everyone. Also, dart tournaments. You may have to be pretty good to win, but everyone is invited to join. Good drinks, good people, good times.Parking: The lot isn't real big, but there's lots of street parking right out front. I've never had any issue parking.“
“We are new to Camarillo! We eat out a ton, so we are always looking for new places . We came here on a busy Sunday morning ( 2/25 at around 10:40 am) This cute downtown breakfast spot was really good! Food was really good, waitress so stupendous... there was a young man there that was really personable and was working his tail off!! Not sure if he was the manager or owner but his attention alone would make me come back to this restaurant. We had the Avocado toast ( exceptional ) and a yummy scramble! Food was hot and served promptly. I am deducting a star be the hostess was rude! Young gal, treated us like an inconvenience! To the owner or manger of this place.. your hostess is the first impression people get! She was rude and treated us like an inconvenience!! Everything else was stellar!“
“Their deli is a hidden gem.A friend recently tried their jam packed classic Italian sub and it looked so good I had to try it myself.I never even knew this deli existed.Jim happily welcomed my family for the 1st time and was kind enough to let us sample some of their fresh homemade bread and a hot calabrese that I might like in my sub.Sandwich itself was both delicious & stuffed with a heaping portion of ingredients like peppers, provolone and more. (Best part is whatever you like they’ll find a recommendation fit for you in a sandwich)Definitely would be back ??“
“The lemon kebob chicken plate was so so delicious, the salad was very fresh and healthy. The cooks did a great job. My server was Estevan who was very helpful and professional and so was the rest of the staff. I highly recommend Luna Grill.“
“I absolutely adore this Filipino style coffee shop!! I come here very often, trying new items from the menu each time. I especially recommend the chicken adobo, and the house favorite Filipino donut is super yummy(everything is freshly made as well) I am always pleased with the service. Even when the shop is busy I never have to wait long to get my order. Just a tip, I recommend ordering in store rather than ordering online because the online menu is being updated. Super friendly and welcoming staff too, great way to start off the day with a good conversation :) It’s not very often you find such a unique place around this area, definitely adds more liveliness(+deliciousness)Always great to try something new.I hope this helps another coffee lover out there!!“
“My family and I visit this establishment almost weekly. I absolutely love their peggys chicken sandwich, delicious, everytime! For kids i do not recommend their grilled cheese, it's almost like taffy on really thick bread. The place is nice , good atmosphere. My only "con" is the service when they get busy. It seems as if when they get busy all the servers panic. Which I guess falls on management, but when it is not busy, amazing service. Good conversation with the servers, they seem happy, but the second it gets busy, seems like they forget orders, takes way too long to receive drinks, and servers seem as if in a panic. All in all I wouldn't recommend this place on weekends but otherwise 100%.“

“2 weeks ago, I went to Somis Cafe, for lunch and had delicious steak burrito, and my wife ordered Chile Relleno to sample, which was like having it made in your kitchen at home., incredible, and delicious. The next 2 times, Chile Rellenos and Chile Colorado, orgasmic, to the taste buds, with a large Jamaica, excellent. As I'm now in NorCal, I, SO MISS, SOMIS Cafe and Market, and shout out to Dorothy, who took great care of us, making sure that we had everything that we ordered. I will be back, they are authentic and delicious. 5 Stars.“
“Institution Ale is an amazing place for food and beer. They have an amazing selection of beer that is all unique and tasty. I highly recommend their pizzas and their pretzels. Both are delicious. The service is also very good. I could not recommend this place more for a quick bite and a delicious beer.“
“I have been going to urbane cafe for about 2 years now, at least once a month if not more. Their salmon bowl is what really got me hooked but at the Camarillo Daily Dr location I had a frustrating experience with one of the staff not wanting to accommodate the salmon salad to my food allergy. Previous experiences I have had with a young man he has gladly changed the dish for me. This is the type of customer service I am used to from them. I am disappointed by my visit today to say the least, I still love Urbane and 99% of their staff. Please be kinder to people who have allergies, we still want to enjoy food just as much as other people.Dietary restrictions: won't accommodate for allergies“
“Tasting Flight: $20/tasting for 5 pours (and possibly an additional pour at the end). First visit and got to meet both Frank (Winemaker) & Jen (Hospitality), the gracious owners of Back Patio Cellars. Hidden within a business park, this boutique winery and cider house offers something for everyone. They have a cute tasting room, and of course a "back patio" area, but we preferred the comfy "living room" seating area inside the barrel room (I love a nice barrel room). One minor complaint is that they don't have a printed tasting list, or even a comprehensive list of their wines/prices. WINES: We were able to try a '21 Albarino, a '19 Viognier, a '20 Rosé of Granache, a '19 carbonic Cabernet Sauvignon, a '20 Syrah, and a '16 Cab Sauv. from Lodi. We loved the two whites, and the Syrah and Lodi Cab, taking home several bottles. My mother-in-law had a glass of their Cinnabon cider, which was quite nice. They had nine flavors of cider on tap the day of our visit. No food available, other than bags of chips, but feel free to bring your own munchies and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and tasty wines/ciders! Overall, we had a nice experience getting to know Jen & Frank and trying their wines. IMO, Back Patio Cellars is definitely worth a visit.“
“We enjoyed the show they presented in the evening. We saw the Irish Tenor, Paul Byrom. He is great at putting together a fun set of songs, adding history about the song, and interjecting funny bits into his show. The winery has good food and there pizzas are worth the stop. We didn't try the beer or wine but a lot of people seemed to be enjoying their choices.“
“First of all, great food! I did not dress in super nice clothes, but everyone was friendly and the service was great. Definitely a great place to go anytime, and especially if you are dressed up and ready to seize the day. I was there on a slow night, so plenty of tables, no wait, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed the experience. I was on travel in the Oxnard area, and I plan to add Larsen's to the list of places I need to visit again. Thank you!Parking: Park behind the restaurant. Plenty of open spots, short walk. Street parking in front is difficult to secure.“
“My only true complaint about this Lazy Dog is that it's not closer to where I live. I love Lazy Dog but there's none in the north 818 so if Ive got a craving, I gotta jump on the 101 and drive up to Oxnard. The staff here is always nothing short of wonderful. They're always friendly, helpful, accommodating for a family with 3 small kids, and in the rare instance that there's a delay in the food coming out or a mistake, they're quick to apologize and make good. It's something I wish other restaurants would do as well. It's not hard to do.Food here is good. It's nothing classy, but it's full of fun, flavorful takes on classic restaurant food. I've had several things here and have never been disappointed. My go to, however, is the PB&J bacon burger. Don't let the PB&J turn you away. It's so good! Perfect blend of sweet & savory. I also want to shout out their beers. They're fantastic. They offer a great beer club subscription that, once again if I lived closer to a location, I would sign up for in a heartbeat. If you live close to this location and like their beers, it seems like a no brainer to me to sign up.“
“This was our first time being here and they DID NOT disappoint! Friendly staff, cute atmosphere, good music. It was busy and had about a 20 minute wait but it was so worth it! Was offered a seat at the countertop but they were happy to make accommodations due to my husbands leg brace. My husband is a tough critic when it comes to food. The only words he could get out were"WOW" and "this is so good!" This man would have licked his plate clean if no one else was around LOL. Food was amazing. 10/10 we will be back!“
“Great local restaurant. We did date night here this week and were pleasantly surprised by the food and atmosphere. It was packed. They had live music with was a nice touch. They have a very interesting menu with a lot of good choices. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was perfect; crispy, flavorful and hot! The preach fuzz cocktail was yummy; a hint of sweet team and peach! We shared the delicious Agora Waldorf salad with chicken and a sausage flatbread. The salad was well-balanced, fresh and delicious! It's hard to find these salads around and this one was right-on! I loved the light vinaigrette dressing instead of a heavy blue cheese. The flatbread was crispy in the crust, chewy inside and the sausage was a standout. The beer onions didn't seem to complement the flavor, so we took those off, but the fontina was a nice rich choice for the cheese. This location has changed hands quite a bit over the many years, but Twisted Oak seems to have hit a right balance of food and atmosphere. They've definitely outlasted their predecessors and we are looking forward to returning soon.“
“My salad was perfect with a little crunch to sweetness! I paired it with a sweet cocktail and I didn't write down the name of them. Thank you to JR and Rebecca who made my visit a memorable one. I sat close to the window so I could enjoy the natural light outside. With the help of my waitress, she made a perfect pick! Looking forward to bringing my husband so he can enjoy the experience as I did.“
“Absolutely love this place for Cali Mexican food! They have tasty food and a variety of options for all. If you have dietary restrictions they are kind to accommodate you! You receive your food in a timely manner and everything tastes fresh. It can get a little rowdy when it's crowded but all customers are happy!“
“We love going to basil and mint. The food is great and the service is also good. The Pho is incredible and delicious. Healthy servings and happy smiles. We love happy hour and getting great food deals. We love our server the bartender she's sweet. Two thumbs up from this food consumer, enjoy!Combination Pho“
“The food was good, but I didn't enjoy my meal as much as I hoped to. The salad was just okay. The vinaigrette tasted unexpectedly sour. Not it's usual good tangy flavor. I ordered the bbq tri tip sandwich. The meat was tender and thinly sliced but no taste of bbq. I was disappointed with that. Service was good, no complaints there.“
“We've been to Blvd Brgr several times and have never been disappointed! I ordered the Blvd burger and my husband got El Fuego. They were both delicious! If you are a french fry person, the Blvd fries are for you! The feta and mint combination with the garlic aioli is to die for! And the onions rings were cooked to perfection. The kids also enjoyed their burgers and loved playing the arcade games. There's plenty of seating for families and the service is very friendly.“
“The food here was such a pleasant surprise! Everything smelled and tasted so clean and fresh. We had the Falafel plate and the chicken shewarma plate and love it down to the lemon in the salad dressing! The hummus was tasty and the pitas were warm. Highly recommended.“
“This place is under new ownership and Silvia and Ken have so many great ideas for this place. I went there for breakfast today and had the Eggs Benedict. The sauce was so good. I'm very picky about my hollandaise sauce. They plan to start opening for dinner. Can't wait to try the dinner menu! I will definitely be a regular for breakfast And the staff is so sweet and on it!“
“The girl that was there this morning 3/8 please keep her. She made my drink correctly. My Blue Raspberry spirulina actually taste like blue raspberry is in it. I kept wondering why it was called blue raspberry and it didn't taste like it.“
“I've seen some music shows at Cantara. The golden ale that I've had is very tasty. I haven't tried any wine or pizza. The chicken drumettes and wings are tasty but not plentiful. The tri-tip tater tots are decent. The service is friendly.“
“We came here for the first time because of the Sweet Deals beer booklet. We would have never stumbled upon it because it's in an industrial area that we don't ever drive near. The menu has beer, wine, appetizers, and pizza. Our beer booklet covered one beer each and an appetizer. We decided to have the blonde beer, the hazy hefenweizen, fried caulifower, and the artisan bread. The blonde beer and hazy hefenweizen were both great. The fried cauliflower was mediocre. It seemed a little undercooked and could have been more crispy. We also would have liked more sauce on it. The artisan bread had fresh, fluffy pizza dough which we really liked. This one was suppsoed to be truffle flavored and we did not taste any truffle. There was mushrooms and balsamic glaze on it and the flavor was overall bland. If I come back, I would be open to trying the pizza, but would not get the items that we had.The inside of Flat Fish is really big. The cellar area is big enough to have a large party or group. They have a stage in the cellar area where they have events with live music. The owner who helped us was friendly and nice. Flat Fish has a laid back vibe. We loved the beer and would return to grab one of their beers.“
“Master's Donuts has a great selection of donuts, breakfast bites, and boba/smoothies. My friend and I came here for a quick breakfast bite. I've driven by this spot many times and hadn't even considered coming in but thankfully my friend knew of this gem.The donut selection is the biggest I've seen. They had everything! Glaze, sprinkle, chocolate chip croissants, maple, you name it. There were literally like 4x4 rows of donuts it was insane! Also I was super impressed with how many donuts they had available at 12pm. Usually at my local donut shop if you aren't there by 8am the selection starts to dwindle, but not here. This spot is great for when your craving the midday sweet treat. Also the menu of smoothie and boba items was super big and I loved all of the pretty pictures of the drink options. We skipped out on a boba but I would definitely considering coming back for one as they had a great menu. The service was fine. The gentleman behind the counter was quick to take our order. Nothing stellar about the interaction but he was efficient and I do understand we were probably dilly dallying, so he was trying to move us along. But there was just so much to look at! Lastly the price was a little on the higher side but that wouldn't keep me from coming back. Three donuts, a chocolate chip croissant, and a small milk ran us $10. Not unreasonable but my local donut shops are cheaper. The quality and selection was there though! Our donuts all tasted fresh and were yummy. I also again can't believe how many options they had to choose from mid day and I'll surely be back.“
“Don’t judge a book by its over. Once you walk through the doors you are transported to another place. This restaurant is beautiful and a peaceful place to enjoy a tasty meal. The menu features both Thai and Peruvian food. We ordered Peruvian dishes that were incredible. The meat was very tenderized and flavored in a way that will having you craving it for days after your visit! Amazing service and a must try if you’re in the area looking for something new.“
“This is one of my favorite places to eat in Oxnard for breakfast. The crowds are usually heavy on weekends but that's only because the food is great and the service is even better. Always definitely worth the wait.Parking: There is always plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu with plenty of breakfast and lunch options. Portions and prices are reasonable. My kids have grown up coming and have never ordered something they didn't like.“
“This is my favorite restaurant in Santa Paula (and there are lots of good ones). I visit about three times a year and always drop by Rabalais. Great cajun/creole food. I recommend the breakfast shrimp and grits with a runny fried egg. The red beans and rice with anduille sausage is great. The placeHas a wonderful old-time feel like a bistro from the early 1900s. They have a full bar and great espresso and pastries too.“
