“My husband and I had an amazing experience at Latitude for our anniversary! To start, the food was fantastic. I ordered the Filet Mignon medium rare with potatoes au gratin and asparagus, and my husband ordered the Bistro Burger medium rare. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! My husband said it was the best burger he'd ever had. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and the STAR of the show was our waitress, Katie. She was quick and professional, but also attentive, so sweet, and overall just fantastic. Thank you so much, Katie and the rest of the staff and chef for an amazing anniversary dinner! They start off by bringing a basket of mini muffins with a variety of flavors freshly baked and rotating so it's a surprise each visit. The energy is very old school there's no feeling of judgement it really brings back an old school Americana vibe I haven't seen in this country for a long time. I ordered up the NY steak and eggs with grilled onions on top and it was a nice sized steak seasoned well to the point that you didn't need steak sauce a welcome steak compared to many others I've had who have to hide the blandness behind sauces. “If you are looking for a great place to get some BBQ this is the best around. The tri-tip sandwich with Mac and cheese is a great choice. A great plus is that you can by the BBQ sauce to take home and add to your favorite foods. Thank you Marshall for creating such a amazing eatery, your staff is amazing and the new recipe for the Mac and cheese is amazing. The only recommendation I would give is to make a loaded Mac and cheese, add some tri-tip and BBQ sauce to the Mac and it is to die for. Not to mention the flavor of the chili is great. “We moved to Camarillo a year ago and can't believe that it took us so long to find this place. And we can walk to it, so it feels like an extension of home. Good thing we can walk too, cuz the drinks are really generous. Food menu is limited but what they do do, they do well. And Matt (owner/bartender) doesn't mind if you bring in food when his kitchen closes (there's excellent pizza and Vietnamese in the same strip mall). Speaking of Matt, super friendly and personable, just don't be the sensitive type! And in regards to another review, the bar is not PC but it's also not conservative. Matt doesn't tolerate politics in his bar, which is a huge relief. Come here for fun and for people!“
“We did have to wait about 25 minutes for a table for 4- but this was during happy hour on a Friday around 4pm. Thankfully we sat in time for happy hour with just a few minutes to spare. I believe her name was Arielle - the waitress. She attended us and was 100 percent pleasant to interact with. She was exceptionally nice and attentive shoutout to her! Food was great and so were the beers - even though it was a full house the rest of the servers brought us our drinks suprisingly quick- I’m talking literally about 3 minutes after we ordered! Their salmon bowl is what really got me hooked but at the Camarillo Daily Dr location I had a frustrating experience with one of the staff not wanting to accommodate the salmon salad to my food allergy. Previous experiences I have had with a young man he has gladly changed the dish for me. This is the type of customer service I am used to from them. I am disappointed by my visit today to say the least, I still love Urbane and 99% of their staff. I love Lazy Dog but there's none in the north 818 so if Ive got a craving, I gotta jump on the 101 and drive up to Oxnard.The staff here is always nothing short of wonderful. They're always friendly, helpful, accommodating for a family with 3 small kids, and in the rare instance that there's a delay in the food coming out or a mistake, they're quick to apologize and make good. It's something I wish other restaurants would do as well. It's not hard to do.Food here is good. It's nothing classy, but it's full of fun, flavorful takes on classic restaurant food. I've had several things here and have never been disappointed. My go to, however, is the PB&J bacon burger. Don't let the PB&J turn you away. It's so good! Perfect blend of sweet & savory. The team collectively is ridiculously friendly to the point of making you feel like family. I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door, sat down at the bar and ordered. Within 8 minutes I had my food brought to me at the perfect temperature. It's a little hidden away gem just off Main Street in Santa Paula.What truly sets it apart is the fantastic menu with very creative but still down to earth dishes like, for example, a delightful caramelized onion and pear burger.And they also usually have some daily specials like really fantastic fish and chips on Fridays that are some of the best I've had in a long time.Unfortunately, the founder Chef David Raigoza recently passed, which left a big hole in the community in Santa Paula.But his great restaurant staff are carrying his torch, and my heart goes out to them. I hope David's legacy will, through them, keep delighting people for many years to come.“
