“We went with friends and ate on the patio out front. The food was delicious, although a bit pricey, but we expected that given the location. I had the sourdough bacon cheese burger. Excellent.Being that my own last name is Tinker, I mentioned it to the staff. I learned that Tinker is actually the owner's nickname. He learned that we were there and came out to visit. Very nice gentleman. He gifted me a Tinker Burger hat during his visit. We enjoyed the place very much!”
“Loved this little spot! They make a matcha latte perfectly!! The barista suggested making it a white chocolate matcha and it was delicious! The empanadas were great, heated up perfectly and not microwaved like some places do when heating a pastry. The sitting area in the back of as adorable and comfortable and the gift shop had a great collection of local art, greeting cards and a whole lot of gift items.”
“Gorgeously curated store with inviting and warm staff. Inspiring collection of home goods to elevate your space. Coffee was a delightful treat for our drive home. A must visit destination.”
“Great local hangout, decorated back in the Reagan era. Fun, rustic vibe with the ambiance of an old tavern, a big bar full of friendly locals. Good comfort food.”
“Just like old times! Was at the sacred space today in Summerland and found Rusty's down the way, WOW so delicious! Small pizza place with outdoor seating. Service was great! The food was really really good. The buffalo wings were spicy and juicy. The pizza was crispy with a thin crust. When we were little we would frequent Rusty's a lot and it brought back sweet childhood memories. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving a slice of pizza / wings.”
“One of my favorite Spanish restaurants! Second visit, about 5 years apart. We sampled a wide range of items and nearly all were excellent. Tomato bread, patata bravas, grilled octopus, and so many other dishes were really outstanding. The one issue for me was mainly a personal preference. The Tortilla Espanol was made to order and a mini version that was served hot, with a bunch of stuff on top. It was too loose and wet for my taste. Service was great as were the drinks. Noise is a bit loud, but not unusually so. Parking is easiest if you use the Amtrak lot across the street. The small lot attached to the restaurant offers valet, but is very crampt and a little crazy on the weekends.”
“Came for brunch in the hipster "funk zone" area, at the fairly well-known restaurant, The Lark, for my first time. Service was friendly and great, although our food came out a bit slower than expected. Still, the hostess, waitress and bussers were all informative, fun and kind. The food was fantastic! My spouse loved the shakshuka, as it was powerfully flavorful with cast iron to have that roasted touch. We could've done without the green olives in it, but more for personal taste. My chicken and waffles were also excellent. The waffles were surprisingly light and crispy, with some heavy honey butter to kick you in the mouth. Fried chicken was good. We enjoyed our mimosa flight- particularly with the sparkling wine/champagne served in a separate chilled container to dole out for the flavors (pomegranate, grapefruit, orange and cranberry, iirc). All the other sides like the oyster and hangover fries were well-suited to curb any remaining appetites. Love the decor too, particularly in the booths. Very charming, and classy, while still chill. Easy to find this restaurant nestled with other shops, pastries and coffee. Definitely would come again!”
“Really like this place. Great food, great service and nice sized portions. Had the chile relleno burrito and ceviche. Both are good in their own way. Highly recommend.”
“Most scenic restaurant space of all time. Have a drink at the bar, then spend the rest of the night telling everyone about it. Exceptional service, conversation and mixology. We had three of the best cocktails ever created. An elevated espresso martini with some citrus flair, a wild Japanese whiskey drink with local honeycomb, and the most elegant margarita on planet earth. A must try.”
“5 stars all the way. Place was packed on a Sat night. The ambiance and lighting was perfect. We each had two cocktails and got the rice balls, grilled artichoke, halibut piccata, brisket w/polenta, and the olive oil chocolate cake w/sweet cream gelato on the side for dessert. Spent 220 after tip. The olive branch and dos hombres cocktails were outstanding. And so was every dish. Finished every last bite. Can't wait to come back for happy hour.”
“Amazing!! Wonderful food Wonderful customer service. It is only beer and wine. Which was ok, but I think I could have preferred a cocktail with the type of food it is. Otherwise, it was a great experience.”
“We had Omakase with sake pairing. The dishes were great from the beginning to the end. For me, I enjoyed all of the dishes. Chef Scott was professional, attentive, and friendly. He explained dish in detail clearly. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was perfect! Great experience overall! I can't wait to come back next season to see what chef Scott come up with.”
“It was my new boyfriend's birthday. I communicated ahead of time to ask if they could do some thing special for him, and it was a beautiful experience. From the minute we checked in at the gate to, to the friendly valet, to amazing music by Chris Fossek. No detail was lost. The food was outstanding, the celebration presentation tasteful. We are so privileged to have this extraordinary property in Santa Barbara. Much appreciation goes to all who made this special birthday spectacular. We are grateful, Maria and Greg”
“Great tasting tacos really recommend the tacos de Adobada and Carne Asada. Great tasting salsas that complement these tacos perfectly and authentically. Had 3 but could have ate 12”
“Excellent ice cream, I ordered chocolate and strawberry (with water). When I tried it I felt at home (??) the price seems consistent with the quality. I would return.”
“Beautiful place with outside seating. The food was delicious, the portions were great, and the staff was friendly and helpful! I would recommend this place to anyone living in or visiting Santa Barbara.”
“Best breakfast place we had on our California road trip - by far. Their campfire French toast with smoked maple sirup (only on weekends) is next level, their avocado toast with cucumber super tasty and the cinnamon roll the best I ever had! We came back three times to Santa Barbara during our road trip and part of that decision was also the amazing breakfast at Helena's Bakery. You order at the counter and then look for a seat, indoors or outdoors. There is parking in the neighborhood if you need it, but I would recommend to walk over.A must go if you are in SB!”
“The SIERRA GOLD POTATO Pizza with Mozzarella, "Shooting Star Aries" Cheese, "Root's" Spinach, "Calabrian" Chili Pepper, and Basil is $25 and is a VERY MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE. Such a balanced and wide range of flavors with expert execution. Perfection. I enjoy their version of ARANCINI, too! Always a treat.Compared with that place where Aldo's was this is AS good or BETTER and less pricey.Parking: Best to be patient and wait for someone to leave. Most cars don't stay long & there's always cars leaving the CVR lots. Behind Vons, cars don't move as often.”
“Great local bar with great food and drinks. Highly recommend. Our server Oliver was truly awesome, ask for him. If you can grab one of the three booths I promise you won't leave for”
“Very pleasant spot with excellent food, cocktails, and fast and friendly service. Highly recommend to everyone who is looking for something fresh and off the beaten path.”
“Absolutely loved Yoichi's. Can't recommend highly enough! The Central Coast dining scene needs more variety and high-quality options - Yoichi's is definitely pulling its weight. The owners are super friendly and passionate, many of the ingredients are flown in from Japan, and the Kaiseki itself was beautifully executed, from preparation to presentation. Will be back!”
“I took my aunt, uncle & girlfriend here because they had oysters (which were great). I was extremely satisfied with their wine & fries but their funk burger was one of the top 3 burgers I have in my entire life. It caught me off guard in the best way. I highly recommend!”
“You can taste the love and passion that goes into each cup of coffee here. The dog running around was a bonus, and the owner was extremely kind. Highly recommend for a date, friend hangout, or just a nice place to drink coffee and read a book.”
“The best Al Pastor taco i've ever had...super cute and clean space in the public market... Loved it and great guacamole. Truly excellent... my compliments to all the staff, the kitchen crew and the team at the register...”
“I am a Thai food fanatic and I was excited when this little family owned business opened. I had heard that it is good but a bit pricey. I agree that it is slightly more expensive than its competition in the area (Siam Elephant, Meun Fan Thai, etc), however, their portions are a good size and delicious. The interior is simple with minimal decor. It appears to be more of a take out spot. Nonetheless, the staff is super welcoming and friendly.I came in for midday for the lunch special which comes with an entree, soup of the day or salad, white rice and a crispy wonton. The soup was Tofu Tom Kha, very flavorful with coconut milk, slight acidity from lime juice and a hint of fish sauce. I ordered Pad Thai with cilantro added as my entree. The tamarind sauce was not overwhelming and the noodles were nicely cooked. I also appreciated that it came with white rice which is abnormal for a noodle dish. All the all, a great Thai spot in Carpinteria with a lunch special that is worthwhile.”
“I love the Brass Bird Coffee and Kitchen. It checks all of the boxes: great flavorful food and beverages, wonderful fresh baked goods, tasty snacks and sandwiches, and a fabulous location with lots of free parking. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and they make wonderful drinks of all kinds served in a relaxed atmosphere. The outdoor patio is dog friendly, has great Wi-Fi reception (great place to work) and also has heaters and a nice fountain. It fits in perfectly with Carpinteria's relaxed small beach city charm. The menu is constantly changing with new seasonal food items, fresh new bakery selections, and seasonal beverages. There are several gluten free items to chose from and many organic choices as well. It is also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine or champagne, lunch or breakfast and when available brunch. I don't generally drink soft drinks but they make several house made sodas that are absolutely delicious without being too sweet. I particularly like the watermelon lime soda. When visiting Carpinteria make sure and visit this wonderful place. You will not be sorry.”
“Every time I'm in SB I have to stop in . Ceviches are always fresh and very flavorful, tacos are delicious, and they have a great Mezcal selection, too. Javier, our server was very knowledgeable, professional, and genuine and made a great recommendation for a cocktail with Sotol.”
“We had to stop at the flagship store on our way through Santa Barbara. We enjoyed what we normally do, ice cream in a cup, but we also tried an organic flavor, brownies cookies and fudge, as well as their new raspberry cheesecake flavor. We loved both new flavors we tried. The scooper behind the counter was kind, quick and efficient. He was very happy to give me a try of the new flavor and eager to help.Dietary restrictions: They have non dairy ice cream and organic optionsKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Scoops are small enough for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: The downstairs is Wheelchair accessible”
“Fantastic place! The duck, the pizzas, risottos, brûlée ugh! Delicious! Impeccable attention, highly recommended.Parking: Leave early, there is almost no parking in the area,”
“The warm service, the excellent food, and the delightful atmosphere here never falters.I encourage anyone driving this stretch of the coast to stop in and enjoy themselves!”
