We were returning from vacation in Paso Robles and hadn't found a lunch option in Santa Barbara. So we drove through and my wife found Summerland Beach Cafe. It's a cute, quirky old house with tight hallways and multiple rooms. It's really a fun older house that must have an interesting history and some hidden spaces. Cute little cafe. It isn't by the water but you can see the ocean from the patio over the highway. The portions were good and the staff was friendly. I would stop here again for brunch on the way to Santa Barbara from LA! Also, they are dog friendly (:
