I stumbled on this place visiting Rori’s. Starving from lunch, I was excited to try it out. I ordered the Rib eye chicharron AND OMG so offing delicious. I know this was an expensive area so everyone is probably used to these prices. But this dish was 1000000% worth it. The service was amazing too. I was by myself and they came by only to check-in a few times.

I will say the inside is a completely different vibe. I loved the outside so much more. Will definitely be back if I’m ever in the area again. Absolutely obsessed.”

“The pan-seared peppercorn-crusted filet mignon with potatoes au gratin and sautéed asparagus were as good as I've had anywhere. Thick, small and perfectly cooked medium-rare. And the thinly-sliced tomato salad was the perfect starter. We brought our own wine, but their in-house selection is outstanding. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. Our waiter, Dominic, was professional and attentive, and we never felt rushed. We enjoyed a two and a half hour anniversary dinner in a lovely outdoor setting and will definitely revisit when we're back in Santa Barbara! Thanks to everyone at Bouchon for a very special evening.”

“Great food and helpings -- 5/5. The kitchen was a bit busy and four of us were served our lunch about 15 minutes before the fifth one. Oddly, only one person got utensils and a napkin; another got utensils and no napkin and the other three were not give any until we asked twice for forks, knives, and napkins. I am not sure why that happened. This was a Tuesday afternoon, at 2:15pm. The service was pleasant and attentive but the odd utensil situation and food delivery lowered the service ro a 3.5 or 4/5. Atmosphere was good, fine, 4/5.”

The buildings not the best in shape but I didn't come to gawk at the architecture, I came to grub and it honestly is some of the best Chinese food i've had in a while. “We visited Marisella for Valentine’s Day dinner and were fortunate to secure an 8:45 p.m. reservation. From the moment you pull into the circular drive for valet at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara, the experience feels elevated. After being directed through the property to the back where the restaurant is located, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly at a table that was ready and waiting for us.

For Valentine’s Day, they offered a curated four-course menu rather than à la carte ordering. The courses were well executed and thoughtfully paced. I have a fruit allergy, and the staff was very mindful of that, which I appreciated. Accommodations were handled professionally without making it feel like an inconvenience.

Service was somewhat mixed. Our primary waitress seemed informal and borderline overwhelmed throughout the evening. In contrast, the support staff—runners, bussers, and cocktail servers—were polished, attentive, and proactive. At times, they felt more engaged than our assigned server.

The food itself was excellent. Everything we had was flavorful and well presented. The wine list was strong, which is not surprising given the property’s location and reputation. There are plenty of higher-end selections available. The exclusive cocktail menu, however, is fairly small. They can certainly make anything you request, but if you are hoping for a large selection of signature house cocktails, you may find it limited.

Overall, it was a very good experience, especially for a major holiday evening. I would absolutely return and look forward to visiting again on a non-holiday night to see how the restaurant performs under more typical conditions.”

“We made a weekend trip from Miami to Santa Barbara mostly just to visit Kin lol. I had seen them on socials and reddit and I'm a sucker for great food and an even better experience. Kin is such a special place. Yes, the line is long but it is oh so worth it. We literally visited every day, twice a day over the long weekend and tried almost every drink and baked treat on the menu LOL. Can't go wrong with anything. Everyday I had a new favorite, it's THAT GOOD. The coconut cloud matcha, and pandan matcha are the best I've ever had. The cookie butter cream top is also stellar. The donuts speak for themselves, but trust me, the flavors taste just as good as they sound reading them on a menu. So thankful we got to try Kin and thank you a million times over to the staff and the amazing owner. I don't know how they do it but they manage to still be warm and friendly even with how insanely busy they are non-stop. For anyone complaining about the lines or prices, this is prob not your vibe. Those of us who get it, 'get it.' I really hope to be able to come back and visit in the future. I wish sooooo much success for this team and hope Kin sticks around and expands (hopefully to Miami lol)”

We were shopping in the area and decided to eat here based on the ratings. It has a small indoor dining area but is heavily focused on outdoor seating. We ordered and paid at the counter and they brought our food out to us once seated. From the order to the food delivery, everyone we encountered was very pleasant and helpful.

The food was freshly prepared, had good portion sizes and tasted great. Everyone commented on how good it was. I had the ham torta and it was delicious. Nice combo of ingredients, excellent bread and just a hint of heat.”

Service is on point and pretty much any drink in the book is available and well made. My only knock, and it has more to do with my age than anything, is that the music is a tad loud when trying to hold a dinner conversation. I have been there twice now and will definitely be back. “Dusk Bar at the Drift Hotel is hands-down one of the best spots in Santa Barbara to grab a drink and soak in the atmosphere. The space itself is beautiful—open, modern, and airy during the day, then intimate and moody at night. It manages to feel both elevated and approachable, making it perfect whether you’re stopping in for a quick happy hour or settling in for the evening.

We tried - The Picante Amante, Dapper Dave, La Adelita, and Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em were all phenomenal—balanced, bold, and beautifully crafted.

Goose and Shiloh, behind the bar, were absolute masters. Their artistry transformed each cocktail into a sensory experience. Their craftsmanship made every sip feel intentional and the evening memorable. Goose and Shiloh are not only skilled mixologists but also genuinely personable and welcoming. They take the time to connect with guests and make you feel like a regular even on your first visit.

One thing has bugged me for awhile though: the staff has started the habit of storing chairs and tables more than an hour before closure and I feel this is not the service level expected when you pay more than $5 for a coffee. Cleaning in restaurants and bars should never happen before closure anyway. It is implicitly telling customers they are not welcome. Hopefully the leadership picks up on it because overall it is a good spot and I would hate going somewhere else.”

Plenty of parking. We had dinner the first night of our stay and loved it so much we went back for breakfast. Everything is fresh, high quality and delicious. If you are in Santa Barbara, be sure to stop by and give them a try. Be sure also to stop and say hello to the cute little finches who live right outside. I have to give a very special shout out to Javier and Luis! They were awesome – made us feel warm and welcome and part of the family. “Great pizza and a lovely experience every time. This was my fourth visit, and the food has been consistently amazing each time. We had a margherita pizza, marinara pizza, and spritz. Risch, who I believe is the manager, is very friendly and welcoming. My favorites are the Margherita pizza and the winter citrus salad — everything is so flavorful and freshly made. “We have been here on two separate occasions. Once for breakfast and then lunch just the other day. Both were fresh and very good. We were shopping in the area and decided to eat here based on the ratings. It has a small indoor dining area but is heavily focused on outdoor seating. We ordered and paid at the counter and they brought our food out to us once seated. From the order to the food delivery, everyone we encountered was very pleasant and helpful.

The food was freshly prepared, had good portion sizes and tasted great. Everyone commented on how good it was. I had the ham torta and it was delicious. Nice combo of ingredients, excellent bread and just a hint of heat.”

“Must write a comment for this authentic Thai Restaurant! The Curry Noodle is so yummy! Boat noodle and Pad Thai are also delicious. The owner said that he is from Bangkok, and I guess that’s why the food is as good as the ones we tried in Bangkok years before. We parked the car in Parking Lot 12 and walked to the restaurant in 1 min. The first 75 mins parking is free, and $3 per hour after. The food was served quickly. We went to the Lot after lunch and it was free parking.”

“An amazing find during a trip to SB. My partner loves good, super-dry ciders, and through her I”ve come to appreciate them as well (and it’s a lot easier to take her to a brewery with me than for us to find a cidery for her…).

Dropped in near the end of New Year’s Day and did tasting flights - mostly overlapping, but it’s a relatively compact selection to choose from (even if you dapple into the mead options). The four ciders we tried were exceptional - complex, dry, and with robust and distinctive flavors. I can’t remember the names, but the one co-fermented with a red wine was surprising and so, so good in particular.

The guy working the bar that night was also really helpful, friendly, and brought incredible energy on a quiet, grey, cold NYD. The whole place was a great experience!”

“Wine tasting in a relax, low key, fun place. Excellent wines. Our server explained all the wines to us. We enjoyed the meat and cheese board. It was very relaxing and not rushed. The bathrooms are very clean. They had bottles for sale and a little shop. Pleasant atmosphere.”

“Masala Spice SB is our new favorite Indian restaurant in Santa Barbara. The extensive menu is creative with plenty of vegan and gluten free options. The service was impeccable with our server being well versed in the menu. The food was authentic, creative, delicious and fun. I appreciate that people from India were working there, as well as eating there as customers. In the past, this location was a totally different restaurant which was devoid of ambiance and felt like a concrete warehouse. The current owners have done a great job to make it feel more welcoming and comfortable. My husband and I will definitely be returning to Masala Spice SB.”

“We waited for a very long time to get our food, probably because it just recently opened. We were told that the order was being packaged but that took another 5 minutes. We ordered seasoned fries nut got regular fries. The pricing is decent, and the environment is very nice, you can watch sports on the TV there live. My favorite thing to eat there is the garlic parmesan boneless wings 100% and the fries were also very good. The ranch is very good, Food and environment did not disappoint. I would also like to mention there is a good selection of things to drink.”
