“From the moment you enter the property you are treated with respect and receive white glove service. Definitely recommend celebrating birthdays & life events here. The speakeasy, although tiny, was a fun experience and great drinks. Dinner at the restaurant was incredible. You won't be disappointed no matter what you order. And definitely save room for the desserts. Highly recommend the banana fosters and the chocolate soufflé! Gorgeous property. Incredible ambiance. Wonderful service.“
“Dined there twice. Both times were excellent. The menu has a good variety of food choices and prices. The service is friendly and professional. The atmosphere is upscale and welcoming. Give yourself a treat for a special occasion or anytime dinner.“
“Amy & Mitchell... "Thank You"! I recently celebrated my birthday at Bouchon and I cannot remember a more fabulous experience ever. The moment we arrived the greeting was warm and friendly. Nicholas, our server, was attentive and had fantastic suggestions for pairings and dinner selections. The music... ok let's just say the mix of Motown and 70's R&B classics made the evening even more enjoyable. I apologize for my singing! Our champagne, Lauren - Perrier, was the perfect starter and paired well with the Salade Lyonnaise. Please do not sleep on the Warm Pecan & Goat Cheese Tart. "It will change your life" is what the ladies who sat next to us said. They were not incorrect. It was a "pearl clutching experience". The venison & the steak were so well prepared a knife was just a prop. The seasoning on both were excellent. They both are a "must have"! The wine we enjoyed with dinner was absolutely amazing. Adaptation paired well with everything we enjoyed on the menu. Nicholas' suggested as we both enjoy our cabs. The blackberry upside-down cake was a great finish to the meal (it too went well with the wine). From the greet to the music to the food... this is an experience one should have. I plan to have it happen more often.“
“Beautiful spot on the waterfront overlooking the boats, ocean and pier. Very busy but I could see why. Since it was cold, I got the clam chowder and was very impressed, plenty of clams and not filled with potatoes. I was busy talking and enjoying my food so i forgot to take pictures haha“
“The boathouse is a place I come a few times a year and it's always delicious. My favorite is the eggs benedict and also I like their blood orange margarita.Dog gone and I can't find the photo of our eggs benedict but it had salmon on top that they cure in house and is mind-blowing“
“Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options. Don't get anything from the fryer though. The fish I had was locally sourced & delicious! The potato parmesion pancake thing was really tasty! The California cocktail was one of the tastiest drinks I've ever had.“
“If you go to Santa Barbara, you must eat here – right on the water, great staff, delicious food!Parking: The closest parking is on the pier, which you have to pay to get to. On the weekends, it can get full very quickly, but the parking spaces turnover constantly.“
“Fun and lively restaurant with killer west coast Cajun cuisine. I was lucky enough to be in while Louisiana coastal red snapper was available… blackened to perfection and oh so buttery. Everyone else at the table was pleased with their meals. The full restaurant rendition of What a Wonderful World was charming followed with a cheers from the staff. The magician was fun too!“
“Loved it here, quaint beachside Cafe. Stopped here on our way to Paso Robles, because Katie Perry said they had the best margaritas. They are very good. We started with the fried Calamari and some clam chowder and then had fish and delicious shrimp tacos.“
“Stopped in before 9am to try their small burrito special. From 6:30-9 there are an array of breakfast burritos for $5.95 plus tax. This is the perfect size burrito in my opinion. Opted for the egg, bacon and cheese version with hot salsa on the side. Delicious. Would come back to try the chorizo, egg and potato. The service was great, staff super friendly, clean, and cutely decorated. Also it smelled really good walking in. Enjoy!“
“One of my favorite places to eat in Santa Barbara. The food is always good. I have had salads, appetizers, and sandwiches and each have been wonderful. This time I had the blackened salmon sandwich with a side salad instead of fries. There was a nice, large, well seasoned piece of salmon in the sandwich. The sauce on the salmon was perfect, not overpowering. Delicious! We went on St. Patrick's Day weekend and were treated to an Irish dance group performance. Very fun!Kid-friendliness: They have a small kids' menu of penne and Parmesan, a burger, or a hot dog.“
“Cozy bar with an open floor plan. Happy hour deals are ridiculously affordable. Having it every weekday and Saturday for peak hours is awesome.Had the clam chowder bread bowl with Caesar salad. Very good and filling. Had a couple beers. Not much selection on draft, but had a few beers that were good like Pacifico and the Santa Barbara Brewing company blonde ale.Friends had tacos which were good but probably were not as filling since they helped themselves to eat more food later.Fried calamari was very good. TheSeating is a bit tight and not as easy to move around. Space is at a premium. If you get there early, there is parking in the lot at the back of the restaurant. It was quite loud and required sometimes to repeat words and sentences to communicate.Wait staff was attentive and friendly. There was one time we had to wait a few mins, but it was during dinner rush, so understandable the staff couldn't be in 2 places at once.Still highly recommended for the happy hours from 4 or 5pm to close.“
“What a great find during our recent trip to SB! This place is just of the beaten path of Lower State Street, but ABSOLUTELY worth the slight detour. The food is FRESH - probably the best Poke Bowl I've ever had, and their Fish Tacos live up to the hype and awards!Parking: Just like all of Lower State Street, parking isn't easy - but it's not super difficult either if you use a nearby city lot. Most are free for the first 75 minutes and just minutes away.“
“This is my favorite bar in Santa Barbara and I doubt that will ever change. Miss the chongo shot but the espresso shot and a Bay of Santiago will always and forever hit the spot. Every. Single. Time.Everyone who works here are professionals and friendly. Never ever had less then a stellar time.“
“Exceptional service. A true historical landmark in downtown Santa Barbara. The menu says stiffest drinks in town. No joke. I personally recommend the rib eye medium rare. Done old school low and slow with salt and pepper crust and that's it. Why mess up a good thing? Get a huge slab with some taters and veggies it comes with au jus and have a double scotch. Probably the best slab of red meat on State St. Can get busy good idea to call at peak times.Vegetarian options: Great Salad selection and plenty of vegetable dishes. They're happy to customize.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide entrance and flat. Very accommodating staff.“
“Love it- easy low key and friendly service! I actually love that we got to order our food at the counter- so quick! The gal was really nice, handed us free chips and cups for the salsa bar which included habanero salsa, spicy avocado salsa, and green thick salsa plus limes and lemons, onions and cilantro. We got the huevos- so good, corn tortillas or flour tortillas on the side with one corn tortilla, eggs over easy, runny delicious refried beans and red rice- big portion - have enough for a second meal! The coffee was good too and the patio is dog friendly! They had a grill on the patio too, intriguing“
“Loved the uni shooter and the clam chowder. Would recommend these! Lobster bisque was great too. The pastas were good and the seafood was definitely fresh! The toast that it comes with was divine. The sauce was a little off. Casual spot with amazing waterfront to eat alongside!“
“The food was excellent as always. We just got unlucky because our server was not attentive. She forgot to bring our bread basket and was slow to refill our water glasses. After our meal was completed she didn't come by to check on us and we ended up asking the hostess to get our waitress for our check. We love the food there are will of course be back!“
“Got seated outside during busy time. No music played outside and only one lamp for 4 parallel tables, so cold. They seemed busy and stressed when I arrived. Excellent food. Server was friendly but did not understand my questions when I asked about wine list, wine that did come out took quite some time and was wrong.I walked or else I probably would've gone to another less busy spot. Would be great experience during off peak hours and indoors.“
“Came here the other day. It was clean and well maintained. My burger was delicious but I asked for no tomato in mine and my niece wanted pickles in hers- not sure if it was charged. When the food arrived none of our request were even fulfilled. I pulled the tomato out and gave my niece some of my pickles. I don't get why we have to tip prior to getting our food when errors with your staff caused this. I saw on the register that our information was inputted but ignored in the kitchen? I even tipped when I ordered a beer. Should I have? This wasn't a huge deal. Just annoying. Please keep this in mind going forward. Thanks!“
“I'm half Mexican and I grew up with good authentic Mexican food, homemade with tortillas made with a wood board and roller pounding at 4:30 every morning .my point is I know good Mexican food but I've never been to hot for burritos.A girlfriend came over to watch a movie and she said she bought some burritos.I wasn't to thrilled but I thought oh well.she hands me the burrito and I just about dropped it,it was so dam heavy. And it was wrapped up tight.when I bit into the burrito it was the best thing I have in s long long time.I highly recommend it.And Anna the lady on the phone when I called to order next day was the sweetest lady you could ever speak to at the milpas location.sorry for the long story but they earned it.and they deliver.Mark Diaz..“
“One of my favorite Spanish restaurants! Second visit, about 5 years apart. We sampled a wide range of items and nearly all were excellent. Tomato bread, patata bravas, grilled octopus, and so many other dishes were really outstanding. The one issue for me was mainly a personal preference. The Tortilla Espanol was made to order and a mini version that was served hot, with a bunch of stuff on top. It was too loose and wet for my taste. Service was great as were the drinks. Noise is a bit loud, but not unusually so. Parking is easiest if you use the Amtrak lot across the street. The small lot attached to the restaurant offers valet, but is very crampt and a little crazy on the weekends.“
