“Friendly little dive bar. Right across the street from handlebar on de la vine. Hence the name! The bartenders are very nice and it only takes a few visits to be seen as a regular. Most of the people there are pretty funny. Pricing is solid and it’s a pretty comfortable place. I’m a big fan of the music and plenty booze free beverages if you’re the DD. This is an unexpected nice gem.“
“One of the few no frills, divey (in a good way), locals hang outs. I've always had good service. Found the regulars here to be friendly and inviting to a new face. Karaoke Saturday draws a crowd and is always a great time. Limited wine selection, but when in dive bars you should be drinking well mixed drinks or beer anyway, right?“
“This is a pretty decent dive bar located on the 1200 block of state. The drinks are good and the bartenders are friendly. Its a nice place to hang out. They also have a pool table which is great. Last time I was here was had drinks and then got take out from the BBQ place next door while we were waiting for a sunken gardens movie to start, I think that place went out of business though.Parking: Plenty of parking. If you can't find street parking, find a paid lot.“
“#1 Santa Barbara Music Scene Vibe. I love walking into Whiskey Richards. I'm instantly back home in a New York City Bar Vibe. The live music bands are always fantastic. I recently went to an open mic night. ???????? I got my money on the next great Santa Barbara musical artist being discovered here.“
