Had an INSANELY slow dinner at Dennys. I don’t blame the workers it seems that they were understaffed and typically an extra wait before ordering and whatnot is not a big deal but we were in the Dennys for a good 2 hours. It took at least 30 minutes until our order was taken. Not only that but they forgot our toast so we asked again. It didn’t come. We asked a second time. Denny's Restaurant is an American gastronomic institution located on State Street in Santa Barbara. This is the only Denny's in Santa Barbara, so for those needing a fix, this is where to get it. Cash, credit & debit cards are accepted. Breakfast is available at all hours, especially in those small hours of the early morning. The environment is nice and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, patient, and timely; one waiter was amazing and a reason to return. The food was delicious. Specific meals ordered included a build your own omelet with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms and spinach, and a grilled turkey sandwich with tomatoes, Swiss cheese and French fries. The only downside was a wait of about 25 minutes for food. The water was crisp and refreshing. One reviewer noted not to use the paper straw, as it ruins the flavor profile of the crisp water.
