NoTown Tavern Sports Bar • $
5114 Hollister Ave, Santa Barbara

“Was bored at the hotel, and looked for a local bar for a drink, but everything looked too posh, not my style. Decided to hit this place, good reviews not a tourist trap, I'm in. Stopped by on a Thursday, Karaoke Night. The beer was cold, good tunes and passionate singers. Don't call this a dive bar, it's not dark, or grungy it's the opposite of that. People sure know each other here, but were also very welcoming and I never felt any bad vibes. I did not Karaoke, but I did find myself singing along. Felicia the bartender kept the drinks coming and is a total sweetheart. Got to talk to KJ Joe from Big Joe Karaoke, cool dude and it's easy to tell that pro audio is one of his passions. They both gave me local food spots worth trying and they were right about them. In short, I came for a drink and stayed until closing time. Cool place, will be back whenever I'm in town.“

De la Vina lounge Cocktail Bar • $
2711 De La Vina St, Santa Barbara

“Friendly little dive bar. Right across the street from handlebar on de la vine. Hence the name! The bartenders are very nice and it only takes a few visits to be seen as a regular. Most of the people there are pretty funny. Pricing is solid and it’s a pretty comfortable place. I’m a big fan of the music and plenty booze free beverages if you’re the DD. This is an unexpected nice gem.“

“This is one of my favorite places to grab a drink in Santa Barbara. Used to have the greatest jukebox. I really wish they would put another one in but totally understandable. It's got a fantastic vibe and a great selection of drinks. Bartenders are excellent.“

“The place has a very good atmosphere, the drinks are very tasty and not expensive, and the service 4/5, I give it 4 stars for the simple fact of the bathrooms, I think it is something very very basic, that a bar should have enough service (there are only 2). Except for this, I really recommend the place to have a good time with friends.“

“This is a pretty decent dive bar located on the 1200 block of state. The drinks are good and the bartenders are friendly. Its a nice place to hang out. They also have a pool table which is great. Last time I was here was had drinks and then got take out from the BBQ place next door while we were waiting for a sunken gardens movie to start, I think that place went out of business though.Parking: Plenty of parking. If you can't find street parking, find a paid lot.“

“First, the pizza is really good! They sure know how to make good pizza. My chicken salad was not worth the price, no fresh veggies and the chicken was flavorless. The pasta Alfredo was delicious. The lemonade drinks are pretty good.Nice and big location, perfect to bring the family for any occasion.Very affordable prices and good customer service.“

“Ok, this place is not the place I usually go. This is for the college age 20 something who is looking for cheap food and cheap beer. The have good margaritas and the food is just ok. I had the street tacos which did not blow my mind. Just get a sense of this place before you go, its not the place for refined ambiance and cuisine. Its for happy hour and sports on tvs and college kids. Just know that going in.Parking: Park on the side streets if you can.“

Mecca Sports Bar Sports Bar • $$
512 N Milpas St, Santa Barbara

“Looked for a casual lunch spot and this was terrific. Lots of seating and big screen televisions. Our server was terrific and we had the nachos. She recommended sharing and was correct. More than two of us could finish. They have a large selection of beverages available. It was somewhat quiet so easy to have a conversation. Sure it would be much louder when a game day. Right across from the arena and an easy walk from our hotel.“

“It’s an amazing sports bar and they have plenty of tv’s so everything you wanna watch, you can watch and request if you want. The only downside is that they do not have a kitchen but you can order food from the bar next door and bring it to here, which is lovely!“
