“I decided to try,one morning, their miso-maple focaccia and since then I am hooked! It won me over instantly! Moist, flavorful without being over the top, just perfect balance. I can never resist marzipan so I had a frosnapper! Once again delighted with it! Let’s just say it didn’t make it home. I also love their pumpkin seeds sourdough bread, moist, full of seeds, excellent! Highly recommend.“
“Absolutely DELICIOUS, gluten-free Brownie Cheesecake & Tiramisu. Always a delight (and a must-do) to stop by Lilac when I'm in SB!Dietary restrictions: Certified gluten-free bakery & cafe. They're also very good in handling other food sensitivities.“
“This is such a cute spot for breakfast, brunch, early lunch. Service is amazing, food is great. The way they have it set up is great, you get in line outside, then inside to order at the register then they have a table waiting for you. Servers are amazing. Clean restrooms. Right across from the BEACH.“
“Edit: Great food again as usual!Original Post: I love this place and come here regularly. But today was dissapointed that my french onion soup had barely any onion, with an overly salty broth. Will update this review next time I come when the food is (hopefully) as good as it is normally“
“Jeannine's is one of our favorites when we visit cousins in Santa Barbara several times a year. The line, while off-putting at first, moves quickly and you've ordered and are seated soon enough to not make impatient kids crazy. We ordered the Challah French Toast breakfast with scramble eggs, Chilaquiles, Two Eggs over easy and a side of toast, and the oatmeal. All arrived well-presented and all reported as "super tasty." My only criticism is that, even though we were eating in and event though they thankfully provided cloth napkins, the coffee was in a paper cup and the water was in a plastic cup. Especially since you are situated right across the street from the beach, change to reusable cups and you will get 5 stars.“
“Do not miss their tasting menu. Wow. Our faves this visit included ahi crudo, short ribs, molten chocolate and a perfect creme brule'. Helpful and friendly staff. Creative wine cocktails. We will be back soon for the lamb trio.Vegetarian options: Salad and interesting veggie crepe were delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor plenty of space.“
“My husband and daughter popped by yesterday just for fun. They got the last few items- a strawberry cupcake, an eclair, a cream puff, and a red velvet cupcake. We slowly enjoyed each item.... And we are a baking family. We LOVED all of them! Cannot recommend the baked goods here enough! And I heard the owner has a great attitude and is wonderful too!“
“Tried the kalefornia salad, a falafel sandwich, and the fries. Everything was delicious! The veggies in the salad tasted super fresh. Portions are generous and everything is vegan and nut-free! The employee who took my order was also very nice and super helpful.Dietary restrictions: Food is vegan and nut free!“
“Wonderful French pastry, served by a welcoming baker in a tiny space filled with glass cases of beautiful, French pastries, eclairs and scones. Each pastry and large coffee were $4.50 each. So delicious and pretty messy to eat in the car! But, well worth it!“
“Absolutely fantastic local bakery and deli. Relaxed outdoor seating, no wait, easy parking, definitely where the locals go. Get the Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato & Roasted Peppers on Ciabatta!Vegetarian options: Get the Fresh Mozzarella and Tomato sandwich!!!“
“This is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants in Santa Barbara. Renauds is a patisserie in the old style with American breakfast options, translated. So the American breakfast comes with properly poached eggs and Brioche toast, the quiche crust is proper butter crust, and the baked goods are consistently excellent. 2/3 of seating is outdoors, but web based ordering lowers line levels even at peak hours.Kid-friendliness: Small tables and somewhat close seating makes child maintenance a bit difficult when Harry's is open. Early morning, that space is kid friendly.“
“What a little treasure! I have passed by this little cafe/bakery many times before--each time telling myself to get in there soon. Finally after six years living in town, I made it! The inside feels like you’re in someone’s cottage with antiques and Australian touches here and there. Not a surprise given the adorable Victorian home it’s housed in. I was greeted by the owner himself who was friendly and helpful with all my newbie questions. This business is Australian—uh huh, I said it right; full on Aussie. Completely unexpected…I gotta say. Get your Flat White here! Their vanilla syrup is made in house and I highly recommend it too. They offer a variety of fresh, homemade pastries. I ordered the banana bread which had a nice balance of sweet and savory, plus it was warmed up on a griddle. Just as Nana would do! I know they are known for their cinnamon rolls so I will definitely be back to try one when my sweet tooth kicks in. The quiches were also sold out when I came in and at high-demand. One gal said their quiche is the best in town! A bold statement.Given that the Holidays are coming up quickly, it’s also worth mentioning that they have a sign offering their handmade pies for purchase. I plan to preorder two for when we host our family Thanksgiving this year. Flavors and selections are endless (pumpkin, apple, berries, and the list goes on).Hooroo mate!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at entrance“
“I recently tried the sugar-free peanut butter cup, and it exceeded my expectations. Although it seemed small, it was incredibly rich and surprisingly satisfying. I also got the special of the day – three tacos for $7 – and they were delicious. Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: Tacos“
“Reliably healthy, but overpriced. $20 for a simple ham and cheese sandwich with fruit, a pickle, 3 cookies?UPDATE 2024: Still no table service. $17 for oatmeal with berries & latte. Cheapest I could find! Couldn't afford the burrito.“
“Best breakfast place we had on our California road trip - by far. Their campfire French toast with smoked maple sirup (only on weekends) is next level, their avocado toast with cucumber super tasty and the cinnamon roll the best I ever had! We came back three times to Santa Barbara during our road trip and part of that decision was also the amazing breakfast at Helena's Bakery. You order at the counter and then look for a seat, indoors or outdoors. There is parking in the neighborhood if you need it, but I would recommend to walk over.A must go if you are in SB!“
