What is there to say about a place called "Sushi Teri" that does not marinate its teriyaki meat dishes or slice them rather thinly? I'm from Hawaii,3rd gen born/raised. Raised on teriyaki steak prepared by 80 year-old Mama-sans born in Japan, so I KNOW my teriyaki. Sushi Teri brushes it on or dips the meat in the marinade. By their own admission. Had the pleasure of trying Andy's special roll at Sushi Teri Carpinteria, and it completely blew me away! The combination of scallops rolled with salmon on the outer layer, topped with imitation crab and masago smelt eggs, created a flavor explosion. As a sushi enthusiast, I can confidently say this is the best roll I've ever had. Sushi Teri Carpinteria is now my go-to spot for exceptional sushi. Love this place!

Decent mid-priced sushi restaurant. Service was a little spotty, but I went early in the evening. The sashimi dinner was a GENEROUS portion of fish. Almost two much to handle! Had to ask for regular (rather than low-sodium) soy sauce, which was a little odd. But I like it! The uni and salmon row was also fantastic.
