Been going here for years the food is great. The wash station has great product only gripe I have is the price for the time and that it's cash only if there was a card swiper on the bays I guarantee there would be more business. Gemreat spot though

Great Italian sub with everything on it. The sub was fantastic and the service with a smile topped it off. Will definitely be back.

I found the tritip sandwich to be very average. For $18 for just a plain sammich, not the place for me.

Okay, Danny's Deli has been around for like 30 years. Like another review mentioned, looks are deceiving. Prior it was an Arco gas station that I used to fill up with gas at. Honestly since I moved away from Carpinteria more than 25 years ago I did not frequent the deli much. You knew you could always get a good sandwich if you were hungry around lunchtime at Danny's. Everyone has their favorite sandwich there. I'm not really a favorite sandwich guy. But, you always get a fresh and tasty sandwich no matter when you stop anytime. today we decided to stop and I was craving a BLT. I asked the ladies if the BLT was worth it and they looked at me and said it's great. OK order the BLT. Dang, it was the best BLT I've ever had guaranteed. Over the top best best cooked and flavorful bacon I've had ever. And loads of it. Fresh tomatoes, fresh, lettuce, and amazing toasted bread. Now for the topper, the two ladies making sandwiches are the most happy and energetic customer service humans I've seen in a long time. And they make an incredible sandwich. So when in Carpinteria and it's lunchtime you want to sandwich or any time while they're open you won't be disappointed with a Danny's deli sandwich.Note: the Turkey and Cranberry is out of this world delicious alsoEnjoy the Sandwiches

Go here for the tri-tip sandwich. It's one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. I knocked off a star because it's holding it's weight being the best thing on the menu. The other sandwiches are just so so. So don't mess around and just order the tri-tip. You'll be glad you did

Yes. Yes. and Yes. Visiting from out of town, we drove past and saw they offered sandwiches . Then we saw they offered bait and tackle. And also car wash! Customer service: 10/10 Friendliest staff in the area. Quality: 10/10 Every inch of our sandwhich were fresh and cooked to perfection.

Seriously one of those situations where looks can be deceiving! My wife and I are staying in Carpinteria for a fundraiser being held for her non-profit and decided to give this place a try and, we are glad we did. We both had a version of the tri-tip sandwich and were not disappointed. The woman working the counter was cheerful and very helpful.
I have been coming here for as long as I can remember, and their tri-tip sandwiches are the absolute best!

I love the BBQ tri tip sandwich. Good customer service, decent price. The only thing that could be better is the macaroni salad (store bought and tasted old) I'll be back though!

Danny made a fresh batch of chicken salad for my order, it was amazing! Don't forget the BLTA and a couple bags of Zapp's chips to top off a perfect lunch. The Tri Tip was hard to pass up, next time!!

If you ever have the chance to stop in for a bite, make sure you take the time to chat with Danny and any other staff there. Absolutely wonderful people. The sandwiches hit the spot for sure, but my favorite take away was how kind and interested Danny was in getting to know us and in sharing his fun stories. I will make it a point to stop here any time I'm in the area.

What a great little deli!Upon walking in I was a little taken away of how small it was. And it was a little bit unorganized. But don't let that fool you. The quality of food here is good!We ordered the club and turkey w/ roast beef. The meats here are actual turkey breast not processed slices. The cheese is fresh, the tomato, lettuce, avocado etc all fresh. They take their time here so don't rush them. The quality is worth the wait and the atmosphere is very local/chill/relax vibe.Would I recommend this place? Definitely! Great place to grab a sandwich. I'll definitely return when I'm passing by.
The deli is closed permanently. ?
This place rocks solid! Love you B and D!!
