The most reminiscent of NY pizza that I can find in California! Also- the garden salad is strangely amazing for a garden salad... maybe it's the mozzarella. The only place to go for pizza in Carpinteria. -Former NYer

This pizza place used to have good service but now that only young people work here they are very rude and dismissive to the customers I will not be coming back to any of their locations. The workers really should be trained on how to interact and have decent customer service.

I am skeptical of giving three stars to this establishment only because I am second guessing the cleanliness of the place. The pizza was great, hot and tasted delicious. The restrooms had no paper towels to dry your hands or any seat covers. I'm not sure if seat covers are not in use anymore as it is a beach town so I was not sure about dinging them on that. It was my first time here and it was not too crowded but enough people that the food was moving along. The three stars is because there was mold in the parmesan cheese shaker literally a green mold clump and the cheese was clumpy which could have been from steam getting in the shaker from the hot pizza and the vapors going up into the cheese shaker (?) The salt shaker also had clumps and those were pink and I don't know how salt turns pink other than it's old. It looked like the containers have never been wiped down. They had a layer of grime and stickiness to them and caked on residue. The pepper shaker had residue stuck to the inside of the wall and I'm not sure if these are changed out regularly as the flavor loses its potency when it dries out. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and maybe it was an error in missing these particular containers, but I would come back because the pizza tasted great and the staff was nice and I'm hoping the food areas and food handling practices are sanitary.

We got the food to go. The service was efficient and friendly. We got the Giovanni special pizza and the Greek salad. The large salad is huge - plenty for lunch the next day. The pizza and crust were tasty.

Best Pizza in Carp hands down. Great service. Every other pizza place is stingy with the ranch dressing. Since I ordered 2 pizzas and a couple salads, when I asked for ranch, the always super helpful young tall strapping fellow that runs the place just gave me a full bottle of ranch. Always good. Can't wait for Giovanni's to move to their new location on Carp Ave.

The best pizza in Carpinteria is found at Giovanni's Pizza. Not only was the pizza fresh but so delicious! Even their salad with ranch were the best I can remember ?

Pizza was tasteless (cheese and sauce had zero flavor, thin crust was actually thick) although cheesecake was very good. Floor is filthy. I wouldn’t go back.

Going to miss the old building - but looking forward to the journey to the old Fosters' location and what you will be able to do there! Best wishes - we'll be there.

The Carp location has always been good, the antipasto salad is a favorite the sandwiches are good not great and the pizza in Carp has always been great ordered from the SB location and the dough was under cooked almost inedible.

Never had the pizza but we drive up from the San Fernando Valley just for their Hoagie Sandwiches. Honestly, for my wife's birthday I can take her to pretty much any restaurant she would want to go to and she has picked Giovanni's for the Veggie Hoagie. It can be several months since our last visit and the owner remembers what sandwiches we order and how we like them prepared. The patio area is always nice and clean. The food comes out quickly and everyone we have encountered working there (owner's family?) have always been nice and friendly. Read some of the reviews that complain about the restrooms and they are indeed not eloquent but that's not why we go there. From the counter where you place your order, you can see the food prep area that's clean and well-maintained and that's what's important to us.

Came in for the lunch special, slice and a salad and soda. ! Great "New York " style pizza, big slice, great simple side salad, all for like $9. Highly recommend! Nice seating both indoors and put front on the patio. Brought me my food in just a few minutes ?
