Authentic Flavor & Thoughtful Accommodation!

Reyes Market is an essential Carpinteria institution. I had a SUPERB Bean, Rice, and Cheese Burrito here yesterday-the definition of a perfect, comforting burrito.

As a vegetarian, finding an establishment that maintains traditional, high-quality standards for authentic Mexican food while successfully meeting dietary needs (specifically, offering lard-free beans) can be a major challenge. Reyes Market excels at this balancing act.

The service is always friendly, the food is authentic, and their ability to successfully cater to both the local Latino community and specific dietary preferences truly sets them apart.

I have no personal or professional connection to the business—I am simply a grateful customer who recognizes and supports outstanding local quality and thoughtfulness. Highlv recommended!

Really dirty nasty place. I went to get 4 tacos with chz and avo, the worker charged me $37.50. Of course I didn't pay, but they're scams, I used to live in Carp and they never had more then either bland or over salted food. Very rude people as well, and corrupt. A filthy place like this shouldn't be in Carpinteria. It taints it's otherwise quirky beauty.

Friendly people, good food, for a good price. I had the Carnitas and it was pretty good. I might try the pastor next time.

Wow, just wow! This place is an absolute gem. Every dish is homemade, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. The chile relleno was pure perfection—spicy, savory, and downright unforgettable. The boba was an unexpected delight, perfectly made and a fantastic surprise that did not disappoint. I’ll be coming back for more!

The food was okay.
I had the gorditas, they were not made traditional way as they should be .
I would go back to try something different though.

I absolutely love this little market/restaurant. I discovered it years ago through my old boss, who recommended it for having the best chilaquiles around. Over time, I've become hooked on their chilaquiles burrito, and it never disappoints! That said, I haven't tried much else on their menu, so I can't speak to the other options.

When you order their chilaquiles, they offer a choice between regular or spicy. Just a heads up—the regular is already pretty spicy! I tried the spicy version once, and wow, it was extremely hot. I managed to finish it, but just barely. The flavor was fantastic, but if you can't handle intense heat, I would advise against it!
