Super burrito was forgettable. Mostly rice and beans (refried beans at that), asada was dry and chewy (had to spit out a few pieces). I'm a fan of the salsa bar but no way a burrito here should cost over eighteen US dollars (probably worth about half that). But it's a one and done for me, will try somewhere else in town next time.
Great food, large variety of choices, great service. Authentic!

Went for breakfast as a recommendation from a chef, and it was so good… the bacon was actually crispy (as requested). Then we had a party of 9 the same day and decided to do take out. Again, everyone said their dishes were delicious. Plus the staff are genuinely friendly and appreciate the business. We are new to Carp, and will go back and recommend often! Thank you!

Burritos are excellent, more like a SF mission burrito than a typical Southern California burrito.

My friend put me on this place for fish tacos over 10 years ago, and it’s always a staple stop whenever driving through.

Authentic Flavor & Thoughtful Accommodation!
Reyes Market is an essential Carpinteria institution. I had a SUPERB Bean, Rice, and Cheese Burrito here yesterday-the definition of a perfect, comforting burrito.
As a vegetarian, finding an establishment that maintains traditional, high-quality standards for authentic Mexican food while successfully meeting dietary needs (specifically, offering lard-free beans) can be a major challenge. Reyes Market excels at this balancing act.
The service is always friendly, the food is authentic, and their ability to successfully cater to both the local Latino community and specific dietary preferences truly sets them apart.
I have no personal or professional connection to the business—I am simply a grateful customer who recognizes and supports outstanding local quality and thoughtfulness. Highlv recommended!
Family run market and low key restaurant. A perfect place for a beachbum day!

Really dirty nasty place. I went to get 4 tacos with chz and avo, the worker charged me $37.50. Of course I didn't pay, but they're scams, I used to live in Carp and they never had more then either bland or over salted food. Very rude people as well, and corrupt. A filthy place like this shouldn't be in Carpinteria. It taints it's otherwise quirky beauty.

Friendly people, good food, for a good price. I had the Carnitas and it was pretty good. I might try the pastor next time.
Wow, just wow! This place is an absolute gem. Every dish is homemade, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. The chile relleno was pure perfection—spicy, savory, and downright unforgettable. The boba was an unexpected delight, perfectly made and a fantastic surprise that did not disappoint. I’ll be coming back for more!
