The food was delicious. The restaurant is understaffed however Mario is great but the waitresses are not trained properly and do not have personalities to be waitresses. I suggest that Mario get good waitresses and it would streamline the dinning experience.
The best Italian food in Santa Barbara period. There are obviously fancier places but if you're a committed foody, no gimmicks, this place is it! It's family owned and they are friendly and lovely.
Great discovery. Very casual, low-key restaurant. Several families with children. Not a super fancy place, but the food was excellent. The caprese salad was fantastic. A considerable portion, and the tomatoes were in peak season. My risotto with shrimp was perfectly cooked. The shrimp was delicious, not rubbery or overcooked (still don't understand why inedible shrimp tails are left on in a risotto, though). The tiramisu was well above average. Not sure why it was served...
