This was my first time at El Baja Chef #2 and their wet burrito size was underwhelming to say the least. The place was empty and business cold. Doesn't match the menu. Too bad for this place. Competition for Mexican food is crazy tough in SoCal.

If you’re looking for authentic Baja-style tacos in Carson, Baja Chef is the spot. I ordered the fish tacos, paired with a side of rice and beans, and was impressed by the freshness of the fish—no funky smell, just great flavor. What really stood out were the handmade tortillas, which held up perfectly without tearing or getting soggy, making the tacos easy to enjoy.
The portion size was just right—two tacos were enough to leave me satisfied without feeling overstuffed. The rice and beans were a nice addition, complementing the meal without overpowering it.
Service was friendly, and overall, the experience was solid. Baja Chef offers a taste of Baja right in Carson, and it’s probably the closest you’ll get to authentic Baja-style tacos in the area. I’ll definitely be adding this place to my regular spots to visit.

Great new addition to the city of Carson. Gotta love mariscos! Small, personal friendly and very homely feel here it's not a big place but doesn't seem to try to put as such. Indeed, comfortable, friendly comfort food. Menu doesn't have everything but Definitely items that you will love. Try the Calamari which has more of a kick to it than most places do, the fried shrimp is nice and Definitely love the shrimp tacos. When you walk in you can definitely tell then weren't going on quantity but BIG on quality! Wash it down with any Mexican soda more than gets the job done.

The food was delectable! My all time favorite is the "fish & chips", if you're around the area I definitely suggest that you come to this place. ?
Fish tacos are excellent!!!
Fish and shrimp tacos are ???
Absolutely delicious! Generous portions at a great price. My kid had nuggets and fries, the fries were literally perfect same with the nuggets, homemade flavor. I had green chicken enchiladas, they were smackin! My sister had a torta, and she said it was amazing. It’s a nice little place, friendly staff and you can tell they put their heart into their food. They have the big mexican cokes too!
Parking: Parking is prt of the little strip mall. There’s even more parking if you go past the restaurant, kind of on the side/behind-ish area.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a small place with two options for kids food. She loved it!
Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of disabled parking spots, no high curbs, you can roll right on in.
