Great experience!!! First time here. It was National Ice cream day. Had gone to Foster Freeze on Carson Street for $1.50 small cone special. It was advertised. I wouldn't have gone if it wasn't. They told me they didn't have it. Since I was out I decided to go to Ken's. Absolutely worth it. Didn't have to pay anything. Will definitely be returning. Trying to support Carson's small business owners.

Got the peanut butter chocolate and the horchata flavors: they were really good! The peanut butter comes in chunks, so there's either very little or very large peanut butter flavor, and the chocolate was very rich. The horchata kind of reminded me of like a churro flavor. Neither ice cream was too sweet (not even the peanut butter).
The portion was huge. It's too scoops of ice cream for a "single", which is about $5-6 depending on cup vs cone.
Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
There's a $0.50 charge to use credit card.
There's tons of parking available.

Stopped in randomly on a Sunday after Google led me there for ice cream in the area. The staff was very friendly and the scoops were HUGE! I'd definitely make a trip to Ken's again...even if I live in LA ?

This place is a hidden gem. Blink and you'll miss it. The ice cream is delicious! I'm taking my kids back there this weekend. They are so kind and patient and we had a fun chat with the owners and some other patrons while we were there. They have lots of yummy ice cream flavors and generous scoops. The wall is covered with pictures and accolades it felt very warm and welcoming. This plaza is a little run down, but that's no reason to pass up such a great ice cream parlor. It's on Avalon in the plaza with the KFC and the Dollar Tree, right behind the donut shop.

This was a very nice ice cream parlor! The service was excellent and friendly. The ice cream was great and fresh. I loved the seasoned crackers. It is to die for! This visit did not disappoint me despite the fact that it was so far from me. Do yourself a favor and visit this establishment and don't forget the Savory crackers!
