The food is just ok. They have a happy hour but no booths in the bar (I needed one to prop my leg up) and they wouldn't honor the happy hour menu 15ft from the bar. ?

Im sorry but the food is not the best but the service was superb! Dyana M. Was great, friendly and I would go back just for her! I can tell alot of regulars go here due to tgem knowing their names and what they order. Its very laid back and was not very busy when I got there around 4.

This is a mainstay of the Castro Valley Boulevard restaurants. It is a fairly typical Mexican restaurant with all of the menu items you would expect. The service is good, the restaurant is spacious and clean, and I've never had an issue. I strongly recommend the spicy enchiladas if you can handle a bit of spice, it's delicious and will test your mettle. The bar serves up some pretty darn good margaritas, and the noise level in the restaurant is quite low, so it's a good spot for a nice family dinner and conversation without being annoyed by annoyingly loud music or bad acoustics.

We went in because it was a Mexican restaurant,The food is acceptable and the waiters are friendly. The only drawback is the receptionist who supposedly doesn't speak Spanish.And it's a Mexican restaurant.It is supposed to be in Spanish even though it is in the USA.
The food is delicious, very authentic the margaritas or nice , refreshing and delicious and addictive. Wonderful ambience

The food is always great, I imagine that's what's kept them afloat throughout the years. The location is great with ample parking. As for the service.. there's definite room for improvement. We've come here many times over the past 30 years and service has been LACKING over the past decade or so. We came on a Sunday afternoon, sat out on the patio which was quiet and lovely for a Sunday brunch. We were greeted promptly and order was taken. Food comes out great but our server who was the bartender didn't really come back to see if everything was ok. We asked for water refills twice (which was never brought) no extra napkins. The bartender/server seemed rushed and not exactly "friendly" I don't think we saw her smile once. I had to personally go to the bar to ask for the water and the check. As a person who's worked in hospitality for over 20years I completely empathize for servers who are busy. But this gal only had 3 patrons at the bar and we were seemingly forgot about. I was never offered another cocktail, we had to ask for desert menus. And Ultimately just felt rushed and like our business wasn't appreciated. 3 stars for the food and ambiance but your servers could use some training on the true definition of hospitality
