Still mediocre but now they don't even serve for her sundaes in glass dishes or with real spoons. They also have you order first and pay instead of taking your order and bringing the tab.

Frequented this spot while Knudsen's was closed for renovation. Best deal: single scoop in waffle cone! Only one lady working so be patient .

The ice cream here is great , but the service sucks . I've came multiple times and the older Asian lady is so rude and always refuses to make milk shakes . They should just take it off the menu if they hate making it for customers.

This is a great local ice cream shop that has been in the village for many years. The lines can be seen out the door on hot summer days and reminds me that we live in a nice little town nestled in the Bay Area. My favorite is the mint chocolate chip on a waffle cone. There is nothing more yummy than a freshly scooped cone on a hot day or when you have a sore throat. It's medicinal! Customer service is always excellent and they have a great selection of flavors. Stop by if you are in the area and enjoy a scoop...or two!

Loard's- local Bay Area chain ice cream. Have tried a handful of the flavors... The ice cream is pretty good, the founders of Loard's set out to make an old-fashioned ice cream and I think they do so pretty well. Outside of this factor though, the portions were small and price high. There were no samples and all the ice cream bins were closed shut with a big sign stating so. I am not much of a sample guy to begin with but it does feel particularly strange for a dessert ship to be that authoritarian about the ice cream- even the pop of the colors and look of the ice cream's quality removed from such a bright store remove from the fun experience of visiting. The 1950s enjoyment of the plating was unavailable as well since the sundae was served in a plastic cup and I was asked if I would prefer it to go since it was in there as opposed to their glass- that is, after it was already prepared lol. The seating is paint chipped and the interior looks like it needs a renovation to keep up the vintage appearance.

It's always just been alright. Main thing? They close at 9, but 8:30, ice cream only. Last I checked, when I close my shop at a certain time, I do all I have advertised until closing then do my job to close my shop. Wack. They technically close at 8:30 or a 1/2 hour before closing. They prep so they can be out the door at 9. Non organic, trash ice cream from an old school shop turned wack franchise. Done spending my money here.

We purchased a Kookie Dough milkshake and it tasted like chunky and cold milk. We could not taste the ice cream at all.. When we asked the lady to remake it, she was really rude when communicating to her about it. She passive aggressively just left the remade shake on the counter and never called us up. Kindness goes a long way.

my girlfriend & I visited Loard's tonight to settle down before going home. I ordered a Kookie Dough milkshake & long story short, the milkshake tasted like frozen milk with ZERO flavor. My gf politely asked if it could be made over or if we could try a different flavor& the older lady behind the counter was extremely rude. She went out of her way to show how much of an inconvenience it was for her. When she was done remaking it, she left the shake on the counter & never called us up to let us know it was done. 0/10 experience. Will not be going back.

Things were great. The only downside was that the server was by herself working on a Friday evening. She was great, but the line was long.

Ice cream is overpriced and paying too much for ice cream and the ice cream is gross i found out that the employees use their breast milk to make their ice cream to save on milk costs.

I had a regrettable experience at Lords Ice Cream and Candies due to subpar customer service, particularly from the lady behind the counter who I believe is the owner. I was disappointed, and despite hearing similar feedback from others, I gave it a chance, hoping it was just a matter of perspective. Unfortunately, the negative attitude I encountered confirmed those previous reports. I would give this a 0 star if possible.
