Shari's Cafe and Pies

They're hiring so I'm not too upset about the service. The food is good pie shop food. But being a pie shop, we ordered "a suger-free apple pie to go" and were given a slice of pie. We decided not to bother them with correcting it. But normally it's very good!!

Very good food always. Nice dinner vibe. Jolien is a super nice server. She was really busy and super helpful and apologetic for the wait times. Even said me and my fiance were cute ?. Great service. Chick bacon cheddar was great get it with the Parmesan crusted bread rather then the bun. Chicken tenders were hella good. All the pies are fire.

The food is perfect, but the inside needs to be remodeled and is real disgusting. Paint falling off the walls and all the boots are very dirty with tape on the seats.

Honestly, this place WAS good. Out of nowhere they decided to hit rock bottom. The portions are a joke, especially for the prices they're setting. I ordered the steak medium well and eggs. I got my steak literally raw, like, deep red raw. I called it in and was told "Oh he's always doing a great job, we never get complaints for the steaks"Why not just accept the fact you guys messed up my food?Please second guess before you come here, you don't want to be disappointed.

The lady that was probably the manager smelled like pure smoke. She was picking at her ear while taking our order, when she gave us our drinks she put her hand all around the area that our mouths go on. She touched our forks and knives with her hands. The food was good but the environment was uncomfortable and disgusting that we lost our appetite. Her clothes were dirty and her stomach was out to the point where you can see her underwear. She was breathing really hard on our food too. This restaurant has changed for the worst because it used to be so nice, the employees were nice and were formal but now it’s completely different.

If I could u give 0 stars. There food has been garbage. But there pies have been OK. Now never again not even a pie. The pie was so old the apples had formed into a hard crystal. And it was sugar free!!! And the insult of all was the assistant manager sold it to us!! We need a better family place in Castro valley. Disgusting on how they did this!!

Unbelievable. Ordered my pie online. The online website said the pie was ready. Went to the store to pick it up. The employee said the pies were sold out. Emailed the company for refund. Never heard back. They kept my money. Two Stars because the pies are good. Not happy with the customer service, though.

I really enjoyed this place when I first moved in the area. Big portions, great kids menu for breakfast. It now feels like it needs to be remodeled the seats feel and look worn and old. The carpet kind of smells now. Last time it was raining the water was leaking in the restaurant. Great breakfast but I feel it’s time for a remodel or deep clean of the restaurant

I sat here for 25 minutes I never got any service just water. Servers walked by and ignored me and three other tables next to me receive their drinks and orders including the table next to me. Maybe discrimination I don’t know but I probably won’t be back

Looks like there is a $5.99 promotion for reward members that the Castro Valley Shari's will not honor. Well, they send me emails telling me to redeem this perk of membership that does not exist. Do better!

OMG! Shari's pies are the best!!!All of the flavors are the bomb! Can't wait to go try the next flavor on my list. The menu is diverse and delicious. Go give them a try!

My Mother prepaid for a pumpkin pie for Christmas a week in advance, when she went to go pick it up, the gentleman told her they were all sold out. Even when she prepaid for it on a preorder. When she asked for her money back he walked to the back and brought out a pumpkin pie. What a weirdo. What kind of service is this!? My family has been buying pies her for over 10 years!

The seating person was great, but our waitress was rude, never came back to refill coffee, slammed our food in front of us without asking if we needed any catsup, hot sauce or anything. So we had to find out and get it from an empty table ourselves. On top of all that, my food was cold and my friends was dry and tasteless and she asked for a baked potato and received mashed. Couldn't even let her know it's was wrong cuz she slammed down food and left to never be seen again. Will not come back here again. Oh ... And the coffee was burnt.

was there a coupla days ago the wait was short i should have left right there-the food was slow coming -the personal were rude to costumers' i heard some comments-and when the food came it was not good- i waited for a coffee refill that never came even though the personal walked by me 3 or 4 times never asked or even looked at me- sooooo off of my list go elsewhere RR

This place is HORRIBLE! Service is so bad and the experience is too. People there are so rude and it looks like they are truing hard to provide the worst service ever. Cashiers always have an attitude. I never take my time to rate any restaurant, I know it may be a hard job to do. However, I’ve been to this place more than once for different reasons and I’ve always felt like I’m asking my stuff for free. Don’t recommend this place at all. Ohh and I notice they really mistreat the delivery guys like if they were a pain in the a** for the crew. Worst experience ever ?
