As a former New Orleans resident, the food was very well prepared. I tried sides of many of the menu items and it all was excellent. Comforting for sure.

All I'm going to say is the catfish was disgusting and had all that slime on it, they should have kept Jay's fish open down the street by Walgreens. It was way better.

Southern Comfort Kitchen is a great spot for anyone craving bold, authentic Southern flavors. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff was friendly and welcoming, setting a great tone for our meal. Now, onto the food—overall, it was delicious! The gumbo was rich and hearty, with a deep, flavorful roux that tasted like it had been simmering all day. The jambalaya was perfectly seasoned, with a nice balance of spice that gave a little kick without being overwhelming. We also tried the shrimp and grits, which had a creamy, flavorful sauce that paired beautifully with the perfectly cooked blacken shrimp. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that while we were waiting for for our order, a server came to clean our table, she sprayed the table while we were seated at the table. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it was an unpleasant experience. On with the food, portions were generous, and the flavors made it well worth the wait.

Overall, this is a solid choice for Cajun and Southern comfort food. If you’re in the mood for hearty, flavorful dishes in a relaxed and welcoming setting, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try. I’ll be back to explore more of the menu!

The food is always good, we’ve tried almost everything on the menu and the quality is consistent. Takeout or dine-in the food is the same great taste. We’ve referred a lot of people and they were pleased with the recommendation. Thanks SOCO for bringing a taste of NOLA to this area!!!

Well worth a visit if you are nearby. Food is great. Servings are generous. Not a fan of the gumbo but the jamabalaya, catfish and Cajun fries are wonderful

I’ve been out here for two years and gone to Southern comfort for roughly about the last two years as well on and off unfortunately, I’ve experienced the worse possible service from their staff, just as recently as Sunday February 16, 2025. A friend and I went to go have lunch and we ordered and understood that it was kind of busy so we waited patiently, but then realized they had served a whole Nother table of four people prior to serving us and we ordered before that family did. I went to go ask for a refund specifically just for sandwich. I was told I would get a refund and if not to call back. I instantly knew by the way that the cashier told me that that I wasn’t gonna get my refund. It’s now two days later and I still haven’t got my refund. I tried calling and her voicemail is completely full and no one answers so now I have to go down there in person to go ask for my refund and to add injury to insult I let them keep the tip of the 10%. Just to be nice. But after experiencing this whole horrible service and going through the hassle of getting my money back, I’m hoping and wishing that they would just refund me every single cent that I gave them because I’m never going back

This dish right here…an EPIC FAIL! I like most of their dishes, I’ve had crab fries in the past and it didn’t look like this. I will not purchase again. Wow! Deeply disappointed!

The service was fast and friendly. Ordered a few things: hush puppies (7/10), Mac n cheese (7/10 - could have cooked it a bit more), 50/50 Cajun platter with crab fries (7/10 for the catfish, 8/10 for shrimp and 8/10 for crab fries), and catfish po'boy( 8.74/10). It got busy after we got there so for sure they have good stuff there. What we got was okay but maybe I'll go again to try something completely different.
