Always clean and almost always greeted when I come in. Drinks and food are amazing and it is never so busy that I have to wait for more than a few minutes. Staff are friendly and skilled.

Worst Starbucks ever. I hate the service here, the staff is so slow, I have a 20-minute break from work and it's never enough to get a cup of coffee here

Glad everyone's boycotting Starbucks and they just completely suck. Added an espresso shot to my drink which was 1.25 extra and then i changed my mind and I just asked if I can have it on the side (in a 10cent cup ) they said that it would be considered a new drink and be like almost $2.50 so just because I want it on the side it's a whole dollar 25 extra for the same exact amount and this is after you charged me almost a dollar for almond milk like these companies get over on us and I will happily never spend any more money at Starbuck locations and because of everything I learned that has been going on

Have been going to Castro Village location for 20 years. This location originally provided excellent service, but now, in a word, "SUCKS"! I have a very simple order: Venti dark roast, steamed coconut milk, with room. When Sara is shift manager, service is better, but the workers are too busy chatting with one another, doing side work when there is obviously line waiting. I suspect when trained, the associates are trained to not rush and walk at a snail's pace.Oh, for the days when Linda S was working in the early years. At least 70 years old, and she would work circles around associates 1/3 her age AND still have time to greet customers, had their orders memorized and make things run efficiently.Anthony, store manager, while a nice man, is at fault as well. Not too terribly long ago, I came in mid-day, between work appointments and store was fairly empty and I was only person in line. I stood there at least 2 minutes without being acknowledged and he just kept talking to an associate while staring out at the parking lot. Now I am a tall guy at 6'4" and know he had to see me in peripheral vision. When I finally walked by him and said " I am out of here", did he acknowledge me and asked what I needed. I simply replied "I'm done" and left. Horrible customer service. I am considering switching to Grove and Center location OR Pete's. I tried newly opened Philz Coffee across from this Starbucks. While a truly great customer experience, it's too expensive for me to buy 7 days a week. Starbucks in village would be well served to hire Philz manager, Jenny, as she truly cares about great service.

It was awful. Long line and nobody at the register. Nobody there to greet customers.

This is the slowest Starbucks even if you mobile order, I ordered over 20 minutes ago and am still waiting for myorder. This has happened 10+ times beforehand, sometimes the location is convenient but it is faster to drive to the location on Grove.

Last few times I mobile ordered here stuff is always wrong with my order, I ask for extra cinnamon on my drinks and every time there's no cinnamon at all, when I ask why they say it's because they're out of it. The last 2 times I got a chocolate croissant and it wasn't warmed both times as I had requested that it be on the mobile order and finally my drink is supposed to come with cinnamon cold foam and instead I got Carmel cold foam :( it ruins the entire drink and does not taste good, overall multiple negative experiences at this location.

I really like this place but I was disappointed that they no longer serve any coffee drinks in glass or ceramic cups. Plastic lined paper Starbucks cups are definitely not healthful to drink from, unless you don't mind thousands of particles of plastic going into your system.

This place has been a staple for me for over 15 years! It has gone through a lot of different looks. The drinks are made by young folks - they can be hit or missThe location is great- lots of parking.

Ordered for Mobile, On arrival, no staff member greeted or asked if I needed help so I guided myself to the pickup side as a Young female African American Barista just stared at me and didn't even acknowledge but just looked at me with irritation as she slammed the top to the ice bin. it wasn't busy as it was 7pm when I got there so I would expect for better service or any type of greeting as I have been to multiple different Starbucks and they atleast say Hi or Thank you. The whole staff just looked annoyed as if they hated their job. Never coming back here again. Drinks weren't up to par either. Do better baristas.

I don't come here often because they are typically out of things, and service can be a bit iffy. Stopped in today around 10 a.m., and once again, they were out of the flavoring for a drink. Better to try one of the Hayward locations.

This is our favorite Starbucks location. Castro valley has like 3/4 of them but we always drive a little further for the great staff and more consistently made drinks. They always welcome us and are so nice to my two year old son. My drink is always consistently made.

They were very busy on this Sunday morning. They were running a highly efficient crew behind that counter!
