The restraunt is small, simple and very neat and clean. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. It appears most of their chicken is to go orders. This is the BEST fried chicken I've had in my entire life. I managed a KFC in the late 60s when their chicken was good. Not this good but good. I like to cook and have tried various fried chicken recipes. I get very close to The Chicken on Fire chicken. But their chicken is as good if not better than mine and always perfect. I only get wings. These wings are extra large and fresh. The drumsticks are very good and it isn't that I don't like them, I do! I prefer wings as my favorite piece of chicken. The chicken comes to your table hot, perfectly cooked with a crust that that shatters when you bite it. If your a first timer I suggest getting the sauce on the side so you can try each type that is of interest to you. It's best if you let the chef sauce the chicken in kitchen if you know your sauce preference. Its coated better and the flavor is evenly spread across each piece. So if you know the sauce you want just order it with the chicken. The sauce does not bother the crackingly crisp skin.
I always order enough chicken to have leftovers. Just reheat on low power in the microwave (high-power over cooks and drys the meat). It's still crispy or enjoy cold from the fridge.
I was in the restraunt a few months ago and there were 3 people dining on their chicken order. As they were preparing to leave the waiter gave them two large bags with chicken to go. I asked them if they were having a party. They said no they came in the day before while staying in CV, liked the chicken so much they came in the next day to have more and were now taking chicken back for friends and family in Washington state. They laughed that they got 2 large orders hoping at least one made it all the way home.

Chicken was good, and fries were excellent. Price was good as well.
I felt very unwelcome by the manager, and felt like they were trying to get me out of there or shoo me away.

This place came highly recommended as the best fried chicken place in East Bay, and I think that might have to agree! We ordered to go and it was clear that they make the chicken fresh - taking the full 30 minute or so to cook. We ordered a medium flat wing combo (sweet & sour as well as soy garlic), and it was very delicious. Chicken was perfectly fried, tender & juicy, and at the right size (some places have wings that are either too big or too small). And, the way it’s prepared for take out preserves the crispiness (and we had a 20 minute drive). I would be prepared to air out the car though, haha!
The sweet and sour was a new flavor for me, but it actually worked out great! I still mildly prefer the classic soy garlic, but both are winners. Highly recommend!

Best best best chicken....korean chicken bomb fire tasty
The biggest chicken wings I’ve ever had - will be back to taste the spicy hot wings! Btw the inside of the restaurant is super clean and nice which I appreciate.
Really impressed by the chicken here. I would suggest trying at least one of your two sauce choices on the side so you can get a true taste of the batter. It is delicious, juicy, and so very crunchy this way. I tried the soy garlic which was nicely garlicky, as well as the spicy (hot) which I had on the side. The spicy sauce reminded me of samyang noodles sauce a bit. The cabbage salad is an excellent pairing and the pickled radish was sweet and a great pallette cleanser. Definitely a recommend. Friendly service and warm nice dining area. Best KFC I have had outside Korea so far.
Excellent Korean-style fried chicken from a local spot. We’ve ordered takeout a few times, and are always blown away by the fries, which are the crispiest crunchiest tastiest fries around!
In terms of wings - also delicious and crispy. All 4 flavors are great, though I’ve found some variation in the heat of the “hot” chicken (sometimes pretty mild, sometimes too hot for me).
Sides include “salad” which is more accurately described as a slaw with sauce on the side (but is delicious).
Atmosphere is good for a mainly counter-serve spot. Love the “chicken on fire” legos!

My family and I can never get tired of eating here. We used to eat here everyday, and now cut it down to be a special treat. Dining in is always nice because there's beer, but if you're on a go order online and pickup is easy. Large soy garlic, sweet potato fries and onion rings are our go to. The pickled radish and house salad side dishes are great too. You cant go wrong with anything you order here.
No matter how busy it is here, Diane and staff always make it feel like home. It seems like I haven't been there in a year, but Diane has a great memory. As soon as I walked in the door she was already walking to the back to bring me my order. Very nice touch!

Staff here is very kind but the star of the show is the food. The wings are great and larger in size than most places. It also looks like the San Francisco Chronicle mentioned this place is one of the best stops in the Bay Area for wings mentioned along hallowed restaurants such as San Tung.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
