This is a true gem in Castro Valley. The staff are very friendly and the food is great. We typically order to go. However, we have also dined in a few times, and the atmosphere is casual and nicely decorated. We enjoy the Satay Chicken with peanut sauce, Yellow curry chicken, Mun Tod with plum sauce, and Pad See Ew.I would recommend this place to anyone that like good Thai food.

This isn't just any old Thai place. This restaurant is AMAZING! Their curries are truly incredible, and they switch up their menu periodically with new, interesting things. Do yourself a favor: if you go here don't order your same old tired Thai order you always get, try one of their many interesting curries or other dishes and your entire view of Thai food will change. Pickup is always a good option, but the restaurant itself has a nice, friendly, cozy ambience that's really conducive to date night or a night out with the family.

I have been coming to this place for over 10 years and have never had an issue. The food always hits and it's pretty consistent, which is hard to find now a days. The customer service is always great and the owners are so sweet! Their lunch menu is such a good deal and the portions at dinner are perfect. Be aware that there isn't much parking right in front of the place and do NOT be that person who parks on the sideway like a dummy, there is parking on the side streets.

My first time ordering from this restaurant. I called to place an order for pick up and was put on hold for 5 mins before taking my order. She did say they were very busy and it will be 30 min wait for food. When I came by food had just came out. She upgraded my thai tea to a large one for being on hold over the phone. I'm very thankful as the thai tea was very good! I ordered pad se ew and pineapple Fried Rice as recommend by the reviews. The pad see ew did not disappoint, great flavors and texture. On the other hand, pineapple Fried Rice was pretty bland. There were no utensils included but luckily I have some in my car. I did have trouble finding parking. There was only two spots right in front of restaurant and if you're not familiar with the location, you will miss the turn in. The side street parking was hard to find also. I did get lucky and saw someone leave in the neighborhood so I was able to take their spot.Parking: Small parking lot, only two spots and busy side street, neighborhood street parking was full. It is best to come with two people, so the driver can idle in car while the passenger picks up food in the restaurant.

If you’re not experienced in Thai food, you might really enjoy it. Pricing is fair, but if you know your Thai, you might want to try another place. Strength in flavors were a bit weak…Not bad…just nothing particularly good about it.

Our favorite restaurant in the bay. They go out of their way to provide the best service even when they're slammed and everything we've tried on the menu during our two dozen visits has been phenomenal. I recommended Top Thai to all my family and friends in the area. Love this spot!

Definitely I'll come back for the coconut lemongrass soup, Tom Kha with shrimp. Been to so many places in Hayward and Castro Valley that just can't get this soup right , but Top Thai is DELICIOUS...super flavorful. It's on the thicker side not too thin just like I like it, creamy and yummy. Also the Pad See Ew, absolutely delicious. Oh my gosh the noodles are soft & chewy and yummy! sauce is amazing the beef was a tad chewy. I do have one complaint and that is the Pumpkin Curry was so thin it was more like soup and the Pumpkin itself was not cooked enough it also felt like it wasn't ripe enough it didn't have that slightly sweet flavor was more hard & chalky. It was also really small portion and the chicken was hard. Basically, we threw out the chicken. I saw that someone else complained about the chicken being tough. I'd say tenderize it in some way or used dark meat because it was not good. The shrimp were amazing the beef was okay I would get anything but chicken. But overall it was great in the atmosphere is really good the people are so sweet. Maybe they have an off day with that Pumpkin Curry.

This is our go-to Thai spot in Castro Valley. The food is delicious every time and they have lots of gluten free options for my wife. The staff is friendly and we usually call ahead to order take out and eat it at home. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and usually there are seats open. Our favorite dishes include pumpkin curry, pad Thai and pad see ew. I appreciate that the menu is clearly labeled with which items can be made gluten free and the staff is also knowledgeable about this. Parking is limited so try around the corner in the neighborhood if there isn't a spot out front. Enjoy!Vegetarian options: Most dishes can be ordered with tofu or vegetables (no meat).Dietary restrictions: I appreciate that the menu is clearly labeled with which items can be made gluten free and the staff is also knowledgeable about this. They also ask you about nut allergies.Parking: There are a few spaces up front. If they're all full, try parking in the neighborhood next door. You won't have to walk very far either way.

Good place but authentic Thai taste is toned down for American palate. Very warm and welcoming staff !

Thought I'd try a new Thai restaurant and the food I received is partly why I stick to my regular Thai restaurants. My pad Thai had little flavor, dry and I asked for spicy and they literally threw chillies in a corner not mixing it in with the noodles.Ordered chicken satay which was bland and sour. There was no coconut curry taste to it.Hope they can do better
