Good atmosphere, good pool tables, decent backyard seating.Bar stools NEED to be replaced.You might have to look out for some "mean girl" attitude from a mortitia looking woman.Some bartenders are great and some are so-so (you can tell who's getting paid vs' the I'm here because I have to be, type attitude) Bottled drinks are cold and fizzy. The mixed drinks are ok depending on the tender'. I will probably go back again but not until after 5Pm - it sucks being the only woman at the bar. I want to give this place another shot ?

First time here had a great time people behind the bar older lady with long gray hair was a fantastic server good conversation couple of the locals that sat on my right were very friendly engaged in conversation what a surprising little local bar.
Parking: As is typical with a lot of your local bars parking is mostly on the street things get complicated when you try and enter from the back as many establishments have parking lots are full. We ended up parking about a block and a half away on a side street.
The owner, Curt Blaum, is a slimy sonuvabitch who think he can get away with violating labor laws and taking advantage of his employees via arbitrary pay deductions and break violations. He’s a wage thief and deserves to be shamed for his greed and malice.
Best neighbor hood bar in Castro Valley.
