Barrel District Pizza, Bar & Kitchen - Cathedral City, CA

We love it. They have a whole separate vegan menu. It’s not just a couple options, it’s a whole two page separate menu. There are appetizer salads, tacos, pizza, and more. It’s nice that there is a variety of things. The pizza was OK. The cauliflower crust could’ve been a little crispy, the sauce was pretty tasty, if you like sauce order a side of sauce. We’ve had better vegan pizzas out of the frozen section of the grocery store, but if you want someone to cook for you and serve from you, it was pretty good. If you are also gluten-free, we’re going to have to ask a lot of questions. It’s not labeled on the menu and the server didn’t know if the vegan meats were gluten-free or not.

I have to give this place 5 out 5 stars, food was excellent, service was excellent and atmosphere was perfect. As we walked in good classic new wave music on the radio was playing and very nice decor. We ordered wings salad and a few mix drinks and everything was excellent. Rafael was super friendly and food came-out in a few minutes. Two TVs to watch sports and have drinks. I will definitely be back.

Awesome neighborhood gem. If you can, arrive around 6:15 as their discounted drinks and food on the Happy Hour menu goes until 6:30. Pizzas, salads and tacos are Monday the myriad choices of the menu. We started with the walnut flatbread, and the 5 triangles were the perfect start. A 10” pizza is good for one, or 2 if sharing a salad. Loads of vegan choices on a separate menu, also a cauliflower crust at an extra charge for those who are gluten free. Servers are patient and kind, and it gets a large local crowd. I would return to try more of their menu!

We had taken out from this place in May while driving through the area from
Florida to Los Angeles. We stayed at the hotel next door and had a lovely meal on the pool deck that evening.
This past week-end, we spent 2 days again in the area and decided to have dinner at Barrel District on Saturday evening. We sat at the bar, the gal who served us was lovely, attentive, and made us delicious cocktails.
I don’t have a photo of the entrée, a steak and fries, cooked as we requested. I recommend this place for a low-key venue, tasty food, and friendly staff.

They may have been busy, but the jalapeños were just scattered in a haphazard way. More on some slices and none on others. With a little more care, the pie would have been perfect.

Everything was nice. Looks nice, service was nice, poke nachos were nice. Just for all that is holy please don’t order the pizza if you have expectations of having pizza better than Chucky Cheese. 😳

Just ok...

Atmosphere is fast paced but wonderful service. Brittney checked on us consistently and courteously. We wanted for nothing. The food was wonderful. We enjoyed every minute.
