I don’t even know where to begin with the disappointment from tonight’s dinner at China 8. The experience left me nearly speechless. It seems the chef took some serious liberties with traditional dishes, and the results were underwhelming at best.

Take the chicken teriyaki, for instance. The photo attached reveals a dish where more than half the ingredients, particularly the onion and the teriyaki sauce, missed the mark entirely. It didn’t taste like teriyaki at all, and I’m still left with an unpleasant onion flavor lingering in my mouth after an hour at home.

As for the barbecue pork, the chef also went off-script. It was extremely chewy and far from enjoyable. I had heard that this place was the best Chinese option around, but if this is what they serve, I can’t agree.

Additionally, the ambience felt more like a rundown diner than a dining establishment, which added to the overall disappointment. The staff also lacked friendliness and attentiveness; it felt like we were an afterthought rather than valued customers.

Overall, my expectations were dashed, and I can confidently say that the food is not worth the money. I won’t be returning to China 8. Save your time and money for better options!

The minute we sat in the table. We smell something bad, the toilet, bathroom in this restaurant. It is so bad we should just leave but it's so hot we go there for their egg drop soup. For some reason the soup is different today, it's nasty taste. Before this visit there we order shrimp chop suey instead they brought broccoli and shrimp. When I told the boy in charge he said it's shrimp chop suey. Hello. hope the restaurant get a new owner. Maybe the food will be better. We been going to this restaurant since 1991. Different people shoot their best shot with the service, foods and ambience. This present time their food is just poor in quality, they give you a lot but it's tasteless. Maybe the cook and they are cutting down with the ingredients or something. We miss the last owner/manager that operates this restaurant. They are friendly, foods are great, and everything is in order. And they know how to smile.

Google said that it was an all you can eat, that's false advertising, it's a regular restaurant

Great eggplant and great prices. Snow peas and mushrooms and szechuan/sichuan tofu were also good.
2* for the atmosphere. The service was good but the restaurant had dirty ceilings and looked a little run down. Not very atmospheric

Vegetarian options: Eggplant, snow peas, soft tofu, fried tofu, among other dishes

What a bummer. First time ordering from here and was disappointed. We ordered to go, they forgot our fried rice and I wasn’t about to drive back since we don’t live in town. Orange chicken was gross, shrimp in chop suey was overcooked, noodles were bland. Just overall not what we were expecting. Pepper steak was good ?‍♀️ it sucks because getting food out nowadays is a luxury so we don’t do it to often so that makes me even a little more disappointed.

I went to this Chinese restaurant while stopping by Palm Springs and had orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, and Mongolian beef! After eating orange chicken at Panda, I ate orange chicken here and it was so delicious that I thought it was really orange chicken. The Mongolian beef was so soft and the best! I intend to visit again!!

Parking: It's right in front of the store

Food was decent and been going for years but today the young Latina waitress was rude as ever.
An emergency came up and we needed to pay, tip, and leave. The waitress put her finger back up and rolled her eyes and shook her head. Sorry to bother you at your SERVICE JOB bc we had an emergency. I guess we'll just make sure our aunt doesn't die in a crash next time.
