The prices listed on the online menu did not match the prices on the final check. This was a takeout. I called the restaurant directly and placed the order based on the online menu (see attached), my husband picked it up. He ended up paying more than I told him it would cost. A few dollars, yes, but since when has it become normal to false advertise?
Honestly, I might not have been as upset about the price discrepancy if the food had been good. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
Each roll was falling apart the moment you take it with chopsticks, the ingredients felt tired and poorly balanced, the nori was chewy rather than crisp, the eel was overcharred, I mean, I can go on...

I love this spot but man service is always the worst part. Everytime we come the servers change and I notice slight differences in the rolls. Like the Hamachi tower we always get. The sauce and portions always vary and now recently taijin is all over the roll. Food is good but service takes forever, this is not a quick in and out place.

They treat you like trash if you don't know ow spanish. They just put the phone down while I was trying to order and just started talking to other customers and taking their orders. Could hear it on the phone. I was just trying to get food to go and they can't understand basic English to take an order of chicken teriyaki to go.

Not bad but not great either. My husband and I ordered one of this places specialty rolls and was immediately disappointed when the server brought us luke-warm sushi. Ick! It tasted like it was someone's leftovers they grabbed from their car...

The next item we ordered was a sashimi and California roll. The temperature on the sashimi rolls were much better controlled but the taste still seemed a little off on the Cali roll.

I really wanted to like Hamachi Sushi so bad (all my friends swear by it), but as someone who knows fantastic sushi from my time in Newport Beach... I won't be back.

Very crowded, both for takeout, and dining in. A small place, so there was a line out the door. Very popular.

Great food and great service. Portions are big and include much more than what is listed.

Party of 3, 5 rolls, total around 126 before tip.

The only downside is the place is small and fills up quickly and is quite dirty. There is a small funky stench but it kinda makes the place.

Would recommend to check it out, but if you worry about the smell, just get it for take out and it'll be 10/10

This was the worst food I have eaten in a long time, food should be cook with love, you should put your heart into what you are cooking, believe me this is not good food, the chicken was not cook well. sometime you should stick to what you know. And the food is not it.

Service is amazing. The sushi is prepared with a lot of care and attention to detail. Try the Thai tea for a sweet ground flavor.

Went with my coworker after work the other day. We ordered some jalapeno poppers sushi omg was so good. We also ordered the china tempura sushi and 2 other ones I'm not a fan of raw fish but they were good. The china was delicious I almost didn't want to share. 😂 The staff was friendly they just took forever to make the sushi only complaint. This place is bomb. A little pricey big so good. Everyone was super friendly. ♥️🙏

My family and I have been coming here since they opened and the quality of the service and food has gone down hill, especially when the owner is not present. I was there yesterday afternoon, March 15, and it took staff over 10 minutes to take our drink order. When we asked the waitress to take our food order she told us she'd be back, then she asked her male coworker if he had taken our order to which he responded NO. The wait staff proceeded to ignore our table and did not take our order even after asking. This caused my party to leave. The staff was aware of the discomfort they caused by attending other tables and ignoring ours, they did not offer an apology or try to resolve the lack of proper service. If you're looking for a place where staff picks and chooses who they serve FIRST, this is your place to go! Over the past few years, the quality and taste of the food has also gone down. You can find better service, atmosphere, and food at other local sushi bars.

Casual sushi place, pretty bad food.

Miso soup was too salty.

We got the sushi boat, the baked salmon roll, and the hamachi roll. Rolls and nigiri had too much rice. Also the rice wasn't properly seasoned, it wasn't sweet enough.

One of the nigiris in the sushi boat was pretty nasty, didn't even eat all of that one.

The Hamachi roll was pretty good, except for the issues mentioned above.

Overall a bad but not the worst sushi experience.

A restaurant especially serving sushi should be very hygienic… The preparation was not inviting nor the quality of the fish OMG I took one bite of three different fish and put it back on the plate paid my bill and left
My mother always said if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all but this is different… In one word, "dangerous"
I recommend a genuine authentic sushi bar !
