Good American homemade Italian food. What makes this place pop is the wonderful staff. My stepfather and I started going there after my mother's death once a week. The staff got to know us and treated us like family. It is time for both my stepfather and I to move away from the area but we will both treasure our wonderful times at Nicolino's. Not only the was the food amazing but the music was great. They have a bar side and a restaurant style side. Super cute decor. The marinara sauce was the best sauce I’ve ever had! Fantastic place! Would 10/10 recommend

The interior of the restaurant is extremely dated/cardboard/staples to the wall. The service was very slow and lack of refills/check ins. The dishes were not made to order. Items were included that were requested to be removed. The Alfredo sauce tasted like nutmeg. The sausage, I am not sure is homemade, but was very dry and flavorless. It could have been an older batch. Overall, it was not the most ideal meal. Lots of flavor was lacking, presentation was not good, and orders did not arrive correctly.

We sat at the bar and had lasagna and Cocktails. We were there at about 5:00 p.m. and expected they would have some happy hour specials on the cocktails or food but they did not. The lasagna tasted fine but didn't have defined layers and thus didn't look appealing. Would have been nice if they had served complimentary bread. We will probably go back but likely not during happy hour when other restaurants have special deals.

I live most of the year in a city with many very good Italian restaurants. I'm sorry to say we haven't found one yet in the Palm Springs area. I ordered the Shrimp Classico and it was not as presented on the menu. Half our table of eight didn't get their food until the rest of us were almost done eating and one of the servers spilled a glass of water in my lap. There is live entertainment here but the atmosphere is too loud to enjoy conversation with friends, so keep that in mind if that's your intention.
