After dining at over 80 different Mexican restaurants in the Coachella valley I'm deeming Salsa Mexican restaurant in Cathedral City the best Mexican food in the valley. The food and the service is excellent. They serve the best guacamole so make sure you order some when you get your chips at the table and they have great beverages. You have mango water or coconut water that are served in large mugs and is absolutely delicious if you don't get a Mexican cola or a Pepsi. I like to dine on the patio as I dine there daily because this is my favorite place to dine. Bring yourself invite a friend or bring the whole family to Salsa Restaurant in Cathedral City California.

The meals and desserts we had were amazing flavor. The service was extremely fast and courteous, to include the server's knowledge of what came on meals. My wife and I plan to return here for food. The prices are a little high but reasonable for portion size.

Everything I have had at this place has been outstanding. The large shrimp cocktail is huge.

We came to eat at this restaurant today. We came because of all the reviews. Unfortunately, the reviews led us wrong. The food was not good. We got the crispy tacos, enchiladas, and Chile relleno. The service was not good either. They have a podium outside but nobody comes outside to greet you. So we went inside and nobody says anything. We had to try out best to get their attention because they were busy talking amongst themselves. Finally I think it was the owner who kinda just said we can sit anywhere, including this table. Then when it was time to get our check, nobody came to give us our bill or charge us even though they had already picked up our plates. It wasn't that busy either. Definitely avoid going here. Not worth the hassle.

First time there this weekend, and it was a great lunch. Alambres (carne asada, , chorizo & cheese) and fajitas were some of the best ever. Drinks were as expected. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are lower than the tourist trap restaurant in the valley. This is a real deal Mexican restaurant and is worth a try.

My favorite restaurant for menudo. Always served with pata, hominy, side of chopped onions, fresh lime, dried chili flakes, and dried oregano. Delicious food and drinks!

Hey just took my family here for the 1st time!! Not the best location for Mexican food!!! Me and my wife both had a shrimp cocktail and for me it was very bland and no taste to the shrimp or octopus!!! The queso-chorizo was not good as well little to no chorizo in it. My daughter had the taco salad I think it was good or even better then the cocktail I had. Service was ok. The only thing that was very good was the chips and salsa and maybe the flan.

I ordered beef enchiladas with red sauce. It was the most flavorful red sauce that I've ever tasted. Nice spot. We met a gentleman there that was 104 years old and looked good.

The food was phenomenal. I had a wet burrito. It was flavorful and a meal by itself. I also had one of their shrimp dishes. Oh my gosh, the shrimp were fresh and perfectly cooked. The sauce was so good that i used a tortilla to wipe all the excess.

The waiters and staff were friendly and treated us like we were relatives. Oh and the margaretta was to die for!!!!

Just left this place. I've been to many restaurants around the country. From Michigan to Tennessee, and St Louis to Los Angeles. This Mexican restaurant has become my new favorite. Absolutely the best breakfast I've ever had. I ordered the "Burro Gordo" and two small street tacos. To get this excited over what was gonna be a simple Father's Day breakfast is wild. They had plenty of parking, easy access, and super fast service. Very affordable.

Parking: Wide open and spacious.
