Loved my Cadillac Margarita and ala carte taco! Would have taken a photo but it was so good, I didn't have time. Sitting at their bar is the best! Surpassed my expectations!! How? Salsa and chips were the bomb! Loved the heat from the salsa and it's mild with much flavor. Hate Tex-Mex and this place is so so so much more! Yes, it's on the smaller size however don't let that fool you on the flavor, food or drinks!!

The first time I went there my shrimp was cold and look like frozen shrimp dropped in sauce. My recent second visit wasn't any better. Beer was warm, shrimp was least cooked this time and service was....

Let me start by saying: I've been living in Palm Springs for about 4 years now and and have yet to find a descent Mexican restaurant anywhere near me. I came to this place yesterday afternoon as it was highly recommended by my hair stylist. The place is quaint, clean and staff were very friendly and quickly greeted me upon entering. Overall service was great. Now the food...... ordered the wet burrito (steak) and they brought over chips/ salsa to start. The salsa was absolutely horrible, clearly something out of a can or jar that reminded me of pace picante. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for this. Salsa is not that difficult to make fresh. The burrito was absolutely disgusting!! Sauce on top- again, clearly from a can. The ingredients inside were cold and the meat had a horrible taste. In spite of the terrible food, I was very polite and left a generous tip as I feel the servers are not responsible for food quality. Definitely would not recommend.

Saturday afternoon in Palm Springs and had a craving for good Mexican food. We were looking to try someplace we hadn't been to before and having passed Salsas many times, we decided to give it a try. Salsas is located in a small strip mall in Cathedral City, not far from downtown Palm Springs. Parking in the strip mall lot was easy. The restaurant is not large and was surprisingly packed - always a good sign. With both indoor and patio seating, we were able to get an inside table fairly quickly. A server came over right away and took our drink order: water for my two lunch companions and a raspberry iced tea for me ($3.00). Drinks and a basket of tortilla chips with salsa (no charge) were delivered right away - both appeared to have been home-made and were very good. It was nice that there were free refills of both my ice tea and the basket of chips and salsa. Not every place does that. For our entrees I ordered the Carne Asada (chopped charbroiled beefsteak -$22) and one friend ordered the Bistec Pollo Poblano (breast of chicken in creamy poblano sauce -$20), the other had the Quesadilla ($9). The food came hot and nicely presented (see attached photos). Portions were large. My carne asada came with rice, beans, a small salad, a few veggies and a half dozen flour tortillas. The bistec pollo poblano came with rice, beans and a small salad. The four quesadillas came with a tiny salad and a small side of guacamole. I thought my carne asada was very good and the portion large enough (especially after filling up on the chips and salsa) for me to wind up taking half of it home. My friend who had the quesadillas said they were good. The friend who had the bistec de pollo is very familiar with Mexican food and was a bit disappointed, saying it was good but "nothing to write home about" (his words). Lunch for three before tax and tip was $54 - not unreasonable in over-priced Palm Springs. I thought the food was good, the service was fast, friendly and attentive, and in spite of my one friend's disappointment in his bistec pollo poblano, I will definitely be back and I would recommend Salsas if you're looking for a good local non-chain Mexican meal.

We travel a lot and this is hands down the best most authentic Mexican food we’ve ever had. You can tell everything from the ceviche, to the poblano cream sauce, to the steak was made fresh and with the highest quality ingredients!! I didn’t catch our severs name, but she was amazing! We are only here for two days, but will definitely be coming back!!

We loved this restaurant that was recommended to us. The Micheladas, chili relleno, burritos, shrimp cocktail were all top notch! The service was great and we loved our food server Valeria. This was our second visit and all 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. We will be coming back for sure!

A total hole in the wall restaurant and omg what a great place!!! We were driving around looking for places to eat and stumbled upon this spot, at first glance I'm like hmmm it's in a strip mall how good could it be but quite honestly it exceeded our expectations. The service was fantastic, the food was good and my chicken fajitas were soooo delicious, sizzling, flavorful and overall just fantastic. The chips and salsa were mouthwatering as well, reasonable prices, they take great pride in offering mouth watering food. I most definitely would return when I'm in the area and would recommend this spot. Don't judge a book by it's cover because their food is the bomb.com.
