Change is inevitable quality is not. Grainy undisolved sugar, vastly different recipe. Too sweet and without the distinct taste that kept us coming back. Probably wait a good while before returning. Totally fixable if recognized.

I’ve been a very loyal customer since 2009 and they COMPLETELY changed the recipe and shape of cookie. The flavor is not even close to what it used to be, before making this cookie different. No sea salt on top or that rich browned butter with brown sugar flavoring. I will no longer spend the HIGH price tag for these. I am very disappointed with this company. What a let down. My whole family does not enjoy them anymore so PLEASE go back to the original recipe that was hand-rolled. The original was absolutely spectacular, but now it’s dried up and not enjoyable. I spent a lot of money for these to be shipped for the holiday so this is a big bummer :(

We visit Cayucos several times per year and we always stock up on Brown Butter Cookie Company cookies on day one. We love their traditional shortbread cookies as well as some of their newer creations like the honey cookies and the chocolate toffee shortbreads. Their products are on the pricy side, but worth every penny. Highly recommended.
