Good food. Nice casual dining.
A heavily gentrification tourist trap!
Went for dinner last night while staying in Cayucus. We had a chicken grilled salad and pizza. Both were average to be honest. Nothing jumped out to us on both items. The staff was decent. A smile from staff could go a long way.
Would I go again? Not sure to be honest.
The waitstaff couldn't have been friendlier and attentive. We ordered both Mexican and Italian dishes, including vegetarian options. Everything was delicious. The second evening of our stay, we got a take out order of pizza. The crust was perfect, not too thin, not too thick.
We'll be sure to return to this little gem on our next trip to Cayucos!
A very pleasant surprise. We stopped here to get dinner on two nights. We'll definitely eat here again. We were disappointed at the other places across the street near the pier.
My family and, I had gone into Martins yesterday about 4:30pm around dinner time. There was another older couple at the time and just us. We get seated and order our drinks my mom and I order lemonades and, my husband ordered a Pepsi. He took a drink of the Pepsi and he had two ants on his lip. We tried to figure out all the possibilities we then looked inside of the cup there were two more ants. Which they offered him another drink and he just went with water. We ordered our food I ordered a penne with meatballs. The dish itself was decent and edible but, you can tell they cut some corners they need to be more patient. I was the last plate served, when my soup came out cold I was like alright. It was still good but, back to the pasta it was watered down and I could tell it was because they were rushing it out. The service was great and polite until, the young man who served the ant Pepsi came over and apologized for it happening then ended the conversation with “for real though I didn’t see the ant” I straight up told him well we did?! I don’t know what he was trying to insinuate but, it felt unprofessional.it’s a little out dated, had broken kitchen stuff out front, and lack of parking. The restaurants concept drew us in, I think it’s an amazing idea. I think they need to take more pride in cleaning the machines, and in the restaurant in general to keep the doors open long term.
Friendly staff. The food was delicious; be sure to get the strawberry margarita, it was amazing.
DO NOT GO HERE. I’m writing this review at 8:19pm, AFTER we walked all the way home after being denied service. Which is ironic because their hours still say open. We walked in at 8:05pm to sit down to get dinner (their hours say 9pm on yelp and google) and was told that we couldn’t sit down and order dinner. WE WALKED to the restaurant thinking an hour before closing would be plenty of time to get served. CHANGE YOUR HOURS ON GOOGLE / YELP if you aren’t going to honor them.
It's a really quaint place. Kind of at the end of the main street. Didn't really see any Italian food on the menu, but the Mexican dishes are great! They do have a killer cheeseburger, too! Loved it

Worst chilaquiles I have ever had. Never see many patrons at this restaurant. Wonder why?
