This place is such a cute Saloon! I am a s***** for old western style bars and this one is a must see. The decor inside felt like I had stepped into a Old Western movie, from the intricate wooden bar to the promiscuous wall art. The people are so friendly, we had some fun conversations and had a few laughs about the hilarious decor. If you ever pass by this town, don't miss a chance to experience this place! Stop in and have a beer and look around, it's definitely one for the books!

Very chill place to take a break from the beach and enjoy a cold beverage. Cash-only--luckily my friend had some on him (this old millennial rarely does ;). Friendly bar tender, very cool ambiance, old west/neighborhood bar. Interesting ceiling decorations lol! Definitely will stop by again next time I'm in Cayucos, and I'll bring cash:)

WOW....it was like stepping back in time ?. imagining all the gunfights that took place there it's amazing how it was preserved. Good drive ks and ice old beer too definitely will be back with friends !!

I'm so disappointed! They are closed! We haven't been to Cayucous in years and really enjoyed the feel of the entire city.... the Old Cay Tavern was one of those spots that added so much charm! It was a place we didn't have to dress up after a day at the beach or running up the coast. No pretentiousness.... Just fun. We would enjoy more than a couple adult beverages and then walk back to the hotel! I wish someone would open it back up, pump some life back to the strip at night! Best to the former owner, We met her on one of our trips and she was a sweet gal....

Was there last weekend, was closed and looked like it was pretty deserted. Majorly bummed, this place is iconic and we sure missed our Bloody Marys. Hope to see them open again!

I'm a local and I want to give the benefit of the doubt. No more!! Sister sat on the phone and brushed me off. I remember why I don't go there. Go to Schooners, they're not much better, but at least they are!!
