The service is quick and friendly and knowledgable. We really enjoyed the Causa Traditional which is my favorite. We like the Lomo Saltado con carne. My husband enjoyed the flan. They have upbeat music playing and it is a lively atmoshere. Ruth was awesome.

We when for lunch had a pitcher of chicha, ceviche de pescado, seco con frijoles y lomo saltado everything was delicious and the service was really good

We ordered food thru d dash and we received terrible tasting food, the pork pieces used in our chaufa especial was old dried tasting meat, some pieces evan tasted rotten, the bland rice had no usual flavor that a chaufa has, not sure what happened .....maybe cause we didn't go to the restaurant so no effort was made to produce our food ....we ate some but had to dump it ....I remember when this place opened and the cook was the owner, but not years have gone by and sad to come back to Calif and wanted to eat some Peruvian food and having spent $75 for 2 chaufas thinking that it would be as great as always, but pure disappointment ....I guess this place has lost its drive ...so pollo inca will be my only choice from now on ......the food was nasty...it is best to not order out but maybe eat there from now on but after this ....no more Cerritos rocoto for us

Entire staff is change , they are rude no respect for old regular customer, host told me straight we don’t have time . Calling them from three hours no answer , came from 40 miles away with family and got just rude answer nobody cares , it use to be gracious place where all waiter chef use to come out and feel you special , today was insulting for 10 year of relationship, old staff was soul of this place no more , this place will be starting to their end

Nice and friendly service. It's average peruvian cuisine. The food and drink orders came out very quickly. TV on one side of you want to drink and watch the game. The other side is quieter to have personal conversations.

El Rocoto is the place. They do a Saltado 3 different ways and they all rock. The traditional with Angus Beef, one with Chicken, and Mariscos which is seafood. That seafood mix is really good with a mixture of shrimp, calamari, and even scallops on the shell.
The ambiance is really nice and the servers are all hustling to get you your food and drink. Some restaurants give you the chips and salsa, el rocotto gives you fresh bread with a sauce that is so delicious
