Frantone's Pizza & Spaghetti Villa

I visited Frantone’s while I was visiting CA because they used to have a location right by my house in Downey. The food is good and the service was great. It reminded me of my childhood.

We came in on a Thursday and were pleasantly surprised by how generous the servings were. I had the half order of spaghetti with meat sauce — and honestly, it could’ve fed two. My friend had the meatball sandwich (classic and comforting), and we got ravioli to-go for later. Everything tasted homemade, the prices were reasonable, and the whole place had a warm, vintage charm. Definitely coming back when we’re craving hearty Italian food without the fuss.

I don't know why this place is so popular. The food isn't really good. The pizza was way too salty. The salad no one touched. The alfredo fettuccini was not flavorful. The Sprite had a stranger taste. The atmosphere is fun and the service it great. But, I want good food too.

Wrong order, the girl was not paying attention, didn't repeat the order back to us to confirm. And then the food came, I'll open a bottle of sauce and pour it over my frozen pasta, same thing.
Open a can of soup, repeat.
No effort. No, thank you!!
On the positive side, the waitress was attentive and kind .

My family and I have been regular customers since it opened up originally in Downey.
We switched over to the Cerritos location when they opened.
It's standout from all other locations, it a great place to have to meet friends, have a sit down diner, the atmosphere is nice, the food is great. The pepperoni chips and dough puff are a nice treat. The owner walks around and greats you.
