I'm always excited when there is a new upscale Mexican restaurant opening up, but not this time. The food was not delicious, nor were the margaritas. I stopped in for street tacos and a drink on a Tuesday just to test them out. Not good at all! Also, it was very expensive. I won't be back.

Service- is it lack of training or is Service with a smile outdated?Food- unremarkableChili relleno stuffed with a rubbery substance tasting nothing like cheese. Rice ( mushy) and beans, meh.Salad with alleged goat cheese had a few crumbles of possible goat cheese on top of a huge mound of greens and a few small broken pieces of walnuts. Guava dressing was good. El pastor Tacos so greasy the tortillas were unuseable. Presentation it seemed not a concern. Overpriced for Cerritos. I used to manage restaurants and always meandered through dining room to check on tables say hello to guests. Maybe I'm a dinasaur?

We've been eating her for some time now and the last visit was just horrible. My hubs ordered enchiladas and they were so dry he couldn't eat them. I had ribeye tacos and the meat was super hard and dry as well. This was a great disappointment. We have decided to chalk it up as another loss for Mexican food. ?
The staff were very nice and accommodating. The food is good, but a bit pricey. The tacos were good, but the corn tortillas were too oily. For the Cerritos area it's nice to have a Mexican restaurant. Appreciate the hospitality!

Frida has such a amazing atmosphere.The service here is incredible. I’ve been at few frida locations but this location is the best one, the manager here is great he’s always around helping, he is a team player. The food is great I recommend the shrimp fajitas and they have great vegan options on the label menu. Honestly the whole place is just a vibe to be at.

The atmosphere was cool.Prices were moderate. Service was a flat 3 at best. The food order was inaccurate and after food was served, getting drink refilled was a mission. A 20% gratuity was AUTOMATICALLY added and service did not equate. I don't know about you but I decide how well my service was. Last I recall. the medium tip is 10-15% dependant on quality of service ? NOT cool Frida. That right there does not merit a return back to your place. No gracias.

I'm giving it a 5 start just because every time I have been at Frida's, I have received excellent service, and the food is great. To be honest, I just wanted to upload a photo of their Molcajete dinner but after reading some of the bad reviews I felt very disappointed that some people are way to sensitive and it's my personal opinion that sometimes that could turn into a bad-one star-review. So here are a couple of things that I can suggest (from my own experience as a waitress) if your waiter/waitress is busy or forgot about you, because God forbid that may happen, lol!! Get up and kindly call them, don't sit around waiting for 25 min. Although *you may feel that it may not be your responsibility to do it, I would totally do it just to get my food in a timely manner. Also, remember this is not a fast food restaurant. If your food is not what you expected, talk to a manager privately. Sometimes, we tend to forget that there is always a manager on duty that we can bring our concerns to. I'm sorry if this review sounds like a slap on the hand, but sometimes we don't realize how a food tantrum can hurt a business and the families who work in it, over something that could have been communicated to the manager. THE END!P.S. Try their molcajete ?
