As of now, you need a reservation to dine here because of COVID and limited seating, but its very easy to text them and they respond very fast. I've been dining here for many years and they were a favorite of ours during the covid quarantining. I love their chicken/tori nanban. Their omakase is also really delicious and the sashimi was very fresh so I think it is worth the money. It came with a good variety of cooked and raw dishes.
Ist impression is pretty good.It has table, sushi bar, and tatami seating. Reservation is a must via text message. They will take it, confirm it, and send the menu of the day back.Ordered the Omakase, chef's choice of the day based on a simple menu. To our surprise, the chef replace the salad with other side dishes, such as the miso soup. which are just perfect. I don't think anyone should complain that the salad is missing ?The chef walked the extra mile in preparing...
I won't lie, I really miss the old Geko Tei. The feeling of a small family style restaurant made me feel like I was in Japan...but that's all a distant memory. Geko Tei is now a more modern Japanese restaurant with an updated menu.
