I felt bad when the server put the utensil down on the table as if he was throwing it.

I decided to give this place another try after the place smelled of bleach.. The food was underwhelming and the experience wasn't amazing. We had a server take some of our dishes before we were finished with them but by that time, that person already mixed the food with other trash. It might be better for the customers to see how many plates they actually put in and they need to have a space for the stuff that goes in the trash (ex: edamame skins)
It's good for a fast quick meal but nothing I'd rave about.

So many selection and it’s fresh. The only thing con about this is that the table is kindda dirty. Seem like no one is cleaning. It.

My son loves this place and why not! The food is fresh and really good with a variety of sushi options but it's also so fun.
Yesterday was his 10th birthday and this was his meal request and the experience didn't disappoint!

Cool experience if you have not experienced it before. My kids had a blast.

Hubby surprised me with a date here and I've never gone to a revolving sushi bar. This place was super cute and the booths were very private and felt like a perfect date night/lunch/brunch hour place. The food was delicious. Didn't eat a single thing that wasn't a 10/10! And for desert that gooey butter cake was SO perfect to end the night! The green tea was delicious and the servers were very attentive. Also the free little charms for buying certain amount of plates was super adorbs! For us we had to first buy 15 plates then we got a mystery charm then again at 25 plates. (Don't judge us IT WAS A DATE! LOL). We were stuffed but happy with our two lil charms. The best part was the conversation afterwards about how cool the whole experience was. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Great selection, always fresh. Now you can make reservations, so you're not stuck on a wait list if your dont want to be. Still can't request a table instead of counter in advance. App works great. Order 15 plates and get a cute little toy.

Waited over 50 minutes when we were told the wait was 20 minutes. They called numbers after our number and lied about reservations but when I had tried making a reservation their app said it was not available to make reservations. Poorly managed location. Try other kura, not the one in Cerritos

Our first time at Kura's. First, prepare to wait. We were there on Thursday, at 7pm. We (3) didn't get seated until 7:45, even thou the check-in indicated an estimate 20 minute wait.
Once seated, the waiter explained the ordering process (similar to the revolving sushi bars in Japan).
We got our sushi from the belt and from the tablet menu. It was an easy process. The food was delivered quickly and was rather tasty.
We had 18 plates. Some were good and a few were just ok. We were too full to try their desserts.
Two dishes were a disappointment. The cucumber salad didn't have any umami flavor. It tasted like plain sliced cucumbers. The miso soup was lukewarm (should be hot) and the tofu was cold. It was also salty.
The staff was attentive. They checked on us multiple times.
Do we recommend Kura? Absolutely. It was a fun experience and the sushi was good. We'll definitely be back, but probably not during the peak hours.

Is it the BEST sushi? No. But I love the ambiance and I love the vibes of this place. If you’re looking to eat a lot of sushi, it gets pricey, so look for an AYCE spot instead.
