I visited Lunasia Dim Sum House recently and while I had high hopes, my experience was underwhelming. The wait time was extremely long with a seemingly endless line. Once seated, the atmosphere was crowded and very noisy, making it hard to enjoy a relaxed meal. As for the food, it was average at best, nothing particularly special that would justify the hype. Prices were quite high, making it feel overpriced for the quality served. Overall, I found Lunasia to be overrated. If you're looking for an enjoyable dim sum experience, there are better options elsewhere without the long wait and high prices.

Great dim sum in a clean, modern setting. Pleasantly surprised at the HUGE shumai and hakao. Only thing that was disappointing was the $1 charge for chili oil, an obvious money grab since almost everyone eats chili oil with dim sum.

The food here is really good and the service is pretty quick. The service is almost non-existent because no one really comes to your table as the server for your table. You have to order on your phone or flag someone down.

Lunasia is a local gem. The atmosphere has a business-casual feel to it. The service is top-notch. They move the lines and serve fast, hot, and delicious food. The menu is endless, with a variety of asian delights. I had the pork chops, and they were so savory, sweet, and tasty, I ordered a container to go. Room for families and kid friendly.

update: learned my lesson and used yelp waitlist to check in early! only out of 2 dishes an hour after they opened. food still as tasty, probably my favorite dimsum spot. service is great and fast although the check in/to go stand needs another staff to handle the crowd.
the dimsum’s bigger in LA/Cerritos 😆 service was haphazard but food was tasty! only complaint is that they were out of all the rice noodles and a bunch of the other dimsum options.

The food was a little salty to me, but it’s ok if you don’t dip it in the sauce. My mom loved the atmosphere. It’s more modern and clean compared to SamWoo. Will definitely go back.
